Bolted Parts (ASTM A325 & A490 BOLTS)
The slope of surfaces of bolted parts in contact with the bolt head and nut shall not exceed 1:20 with respect to plane normal to th axis. Bolted steel parts shall not be separated by gaskets and shall fit solidly together after bolts are tightened. Holes may be be p sub-punched and reamed, or drilled, as required by applicable code or specification. Standard holes shall have a diameter 1/1 the nominal bolt diameter. A490 bolts and galvanized A325 bolts shall not be reused. Retightening previous tightening of adjacent bolts shall not be considered as reuse.
