论情节的完整与规模
• 主要论点 • the proper structure of the plot • A beautiful object must have an orderly arrangement of parts and be of a certain magnitude.
part Ⅸ 再论情节
• 主要论点 • The function of the poet is to relate what may happen and what is possible. • 叙述可能或必然发生的事情
partⅩ 三论情节
• Plot are either Simple or Complex. • an action which is one and continuous. • an action in which the change is accompanied by Reversal or by Recognition or both.
part Ⅺ 论逆转与认识
• Reversal • a change by which the action veers round to its opposite, subject always to our rule of probability or wenku.baidu.comecessity • Recognition • a change from ignarance to knowledge, producing love or hate between the persons by the poet for good or bad fortune
• beginning • middle • end
• A well constructed plot must neither begin nor end at haphazard, but conform to these priciples.
