(M:)Zhang Yuan is a middle school student. Last summer, his parents took him to America for a holiday. One day, they visited a special town. It was very small. Most of the time, the town was very quiet and peaceful.

There was only a 79-year-old lady living there. Her husband died in 2004 and her children all worked in big cities. She had a small shop in the town. Sometimes, when a few visitors came here or passed by, the lady was glad to see and help them. She felt happy when helping others. Although she was alone, the lady enjoyed living in the town and being with her dead husband. She was satisfied with her life there.

Zhang Yuan thought the town was lonely, but full of love.

(W:)I am Ingrid. When I left school at eighteen, I got a part-time job at a zoo. Now, five years passed and things have changed—I am a full-time animal keeper.

The zoo is open every day and I work five days each week. I get up at ten to seven and start to work at eight. I return home at a quarter past five. It’s hard work. I have to be outside in rain and snow, and I get very dirty. But this doesn't matter to me because animals are the most important thing in my life!

There are monkeys and pandas in my part of the zoo and I give them food and clean their homes. I also need to watch them carefully to make sure that they are all well. In fact, giraffes are my favorite animals and last year I went to Africa and stayed there for a month to study more about them. I really love my job.

Every day, hundreds of children in Africa lose their young lives, because they have terrible diseases or don't have enough food to eat. Most African countries are poor. The governments have no money to take good care of the poor. And many parents have no jobs, so they have little money to buy food or medicine. We hold the concert to raise money for the children in Africa.
