过去进行时着重描述当时正在持续 进行的动作，它的特点是：暂时， 持续和未完成，强调过程；一般过 去时表示发生过的动作或存在的状 态，即表示动作发生过，而且已经 结束了，强调结果。

(1) “当…的时候”,如后面连接的动词为进行 时态,则用while多于用when。而when通常 与瞬间性动词或延续性不强的动词连用。
过去进行时
1 含义：（概念） 表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作。
（或过去一段时间正在进行的动作）
2. 句子结构: ： be (was/were) + doing 即： 主语 + was/were + doing sth. + 时间状语
3. 时间状语词:at 8 o’clock last night/this
when 和while的用法区别
1.when 既指时间点，也可指一段时间; while只指一段时间. 2.when 说明从句的动作和主句的动作可以是同时，
也可以是先后发生； while 则强调主句的动作在从句动作的发生的过 程中或主从句两个动作同时发生。
