费城故事主题分析

In the film, I saw the indifference and isolation for the gay and AIDS in the society. An obvious example is the physical space between Andrew and Joe. There is also an another sensitive topic in the film. That is homosexuality. People can not forgive Andrew not only because he is suffering from AIDS, but also he is a homosexuality. People can not accept the question that about sexual orientation.Although someone thinks that people have the right to choose their own partner. That is a private question. In fact, we are social beings and we are inevitably constrained by society and controlled by the society. What is more, it is difficult to challenge the morality. It always accept people who accept the existing rules and accustomed to the behavior of ideology. Anyone who wants to challenge it will pay the price.
3.Fighting.(fighting persistently for our rights and will.)
In the movie, Andrew and his “lover” has received the encouragement of his family member, but the prejudice of the society exists widely. At the end of the story, the result is not complex, he finally won this lawsuit, but it dose not refer that he has obtained acknowledgment of the society. The movie is ending with extremely painful. but it proposed a moral question to people, rendering the loving care and the assistance to AIDS person the same as other sickness, this is approved everywhere , but what kind of attitude we should adopt to the homosexual?
