With China being now the largest source country for internationaly mobile students, transnational higher education is also phenomenal on the Chinese soil. By April 2011, there are 579 licensed(by the Ministry of Education) TNHE programs or institutions at bachelor’s degree level or above in China, operated jointly between Chinese universities and their foreign partners (MOE, 15 April 2011). There could be even more at sub-degree level, which are subject to approval by local education authorities and become hard to trace down. They come inevitably with many concomitant issues and challenges, which, in turn, have stirred an increasing research interest. The research so far, however, focuses on aspects of policies or policy changes of Chinese government and operational issues at the institutional level. There are few attempts to question or challenge why these transnational higher education activities are happening on Chinese soil., whether they bring in what is needed by Chinese society and higher education, and how they may contribute to the progress of Chinese system. Put in another way, the current research seems to have proclaimed the doominant TNHE patterns and practices are fine and thus the focus should be placed on their improvements. This paper attempts to fill out this gap by suggesting a critical culturalist research agenda on transnational higher education in China, and cite such perspectives as neo-liberalism, post-colonialism and the culturalist approach as potential theoretical tools that underpin such aresearch agenda.

Merozoite surface protein-1 of malaria parasites, present on the surface of merozoite and playing a key role in the invasion process, is one of the leading vaccine targets for both P. falciparum and P. vivax malaria. MSP-1 occurs as a 200 kDa precursor and undergoes step-wise proteolytic processing resulting in a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-anchored 42 kDa protein fragment (MSP-1 42 ) on the surface of free merozoite. A large number of studies have shown the protective potential of MSP-1 fragments (42 and 19 kDa) of P. falci-parum and P. yoelii .

• Data sources:
① (http://ci5.iarc.fr), the Cancer Incidence Five Continents;
② (http://invs.santepubliquefrance.fr), (http://ganjoho.jp); 19countries; ③ The remaining 19 countries with more than one cancer registry; ④ Cases and population data of all registries were pooled to ensure the largest geographic coverage and obtain estimated national proportions. ⑤ A total of 38 countries worldwide were included from Africa,Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania. • Backgroud(背景):
(1) SC is the third leading cause of cancer death and the fifth most common cancer worldwide.The absolute number of new cases per year is still increasing, causing about 1 million new cases in 2012 and representing 7% of all cancers.

1. Purpose and backgroud
• Purpose(目的): The aim of this study was to provide a global geographical picture of SC incidence and temporal trends from1978 to 2007 for 38 countries providing data, with an emphasis on country- and sex-specific differences.
(2) The SC incidence varies greatly by geography and sex(地理和性 别).Geographically, almost two-thirds of all SC cases occur in Asia
(specifically Japan and China);Sex-specific analysis is also critical for viewing trends and associations in epidemiology, especially in SC, one of the most cancers in which the incidence is well known to differ between the sexes.

(3) H. pylori(幽门螺杆菌) infection is considered the most important risk factor of SC. However, SC development cannot beexplained by infection with H. pylori alone, because SC develops in only a small proportion of people with the infection, between 2% and 5%.There also might exit some potential risk factors which we still could not recognize.(饮食、腌制食品、蔬菜水果、冰箱普及率)
(4) To evaluate the effects of age, period and birth cohort on temporal
trends(时间趋势), modern analysis methods are based on age-period -
