《理智与情感》的英语读后感篇1Reason and emotion is the first work of Jane Austen. Eleanor and Marianne were born in a respectable English gentry family. Their elder sister was good at controlling emotions with reason, but their younger sister was often uncontrolled. Therefore, when they met setbacks in love, they made different reactions The plot revolves around the two heroines spouse selection activities, revealing that in the capitalist society of England at that time, marriage was regarded as a kind of custom for women to seek economic security and improve their economic status, and the ugly fashion of attaching importance to family and neglecting their childrens feelings and rights. In reason and emotion, there is always a light of reason, and the heros excellent rational mind and his wit and wisdom, of course, are also indispensable to her hot feelings, to show the central idea of maintaining self integrity and meeting the requirements of society. This is a work of interest and humor. It takes the complicated love story of two sisters as the main line, expressing the relationship between reason and emotion, and in many cases, the idea that reason should be better than emotion. In the era of Jane Austen, the praise of emotion is the mainstream content of literature at that time. Many people think that the expression of excellent characters is the strong emotion that cantbe restrained, no matter whether it will bring pain to themselves or their families. If you want to be restrained or hidden, its a mistake. However, Jane expresses different opinions on this view through the stories of the two sisters. From the book, she can see that she believes that sincere and warm feelings are important and valuable, but they still need to be controlled and regulated by reason. After all, emotions are emotional, and their arbitrary development may bring many unnecessary pain, no matter to themselves or their families. Only with rational mind and thinking at the same time can we avoid or minimize this kind of harm, which is undoubtedly good for everyone.Reason and emotion are like a double-edged sword. Sticking to reason may hurt emotion, take care of emotion, and lose reason. In real life, we often face many choices. I hope each of us can control our own reason and emotion.《理智与情感》的英语读后感篇2This book is Jane Austens. I like her other Book Pride and Prejudice very much. I think the plot of her book is so ups and downs that I cant put it down after reading a little. At the first sight of her book "sense and sensibility", she did not give up the reading of "Madame Bovary". Fortunately, my choice is right! This book of reason and emotion seems to bring me too many surprises. I never thought that the plot of the novel could be the same. Of course, I prefer the author himself. Do you know? From this book, I have realized, or learned, the maxim: is it a comedy to understand the world by reason, or a tragedy to understand it by emotion? This book is about the sister of reason and the sister of sensibility. Sister in love was unlimited hit, then, finally understand that reason is to. Finally, all found love, loved ones. Ahappy life. Different from many British novels at that time, when they used tragic ending to attack the sinister society at that time, Jane Austen created a happy and yearning ending. Of course, after reading human novels, you will feel that the society at that time was dirty and rotten, and even, you will doubt that there is really the most holy and selfless love in the world. However, when you finish reading Jane Austens works, your negative attitude will be driven away by the authors magic.I believe that the author is the same. I dont want to admit it or satirize love with black humor. She tried to awaken peoples desire with conscience and happy ending, to teach them to be kind. Believe that love is real.《理智与情感》的英语读后感篇3I remember the first time I watched "reason and emotion", I was probably still in junior high school. I loved my lively sister very much. Maybe it was Kate at that time who permeated the classical pure beauty. It was so moving. Clearly remember, Marianne said, the more books I read, the less likely I was to meet real feelings. Then I think of Colonel Brandon coming in with the song and seeing Marianne in front of the piano. The sun is shining on her face. Its so picturesque and full of emotion. So at that time, I chose the vigorous Marian to love. Its as if someone guessed that you were smiling or sobbing, as if you could bring sunshine to the whole room by laughing, as if you sat there and let the melody flow out of your fingers, and everyone was quietly immersed in your notes, as if you could laugh and cry without any external factors, as if you were full of vitality because of youth Hua Feiyangs playfulness can make the world around you willfully. However, Marianne only glowed at a young age. So manyyears later, when I saw the BBCs remake of three episodes of "reason and emotion", I clearly gave more love to Marians sister, Eleanor, who used to be silent in my world. Not so surrounded by the light, not so handsome face, but quietly share your worries, and then bear the sadness of yourself, still hold up your expectations. The same background and growing up experience, however, they are like two stages of growing up for me, although their differences are actually static personality problems. It should be rare for a person like Eleanor in his early days to be tolerant, restrained and understanding. More of us are just Marianne. I used to think that the most beautiful and perfect things are the normality of a certain stage of our lives, and will be killed eventually. The simple to willful Marianne was at last willing to be quiet beside the people she had previously despised. But I am no longer infatuated with the halo that self puts on for her, reason is bigger than emotion, growth is really a kind of compromise. But I dont want to deny this kind of compromise, just as this post is not to commemorate the Marianne who everyone used to be.I am not so attached to the madness of willfulness.Recently, its just the story of passing by others. Its probably not just the impulse that breaks the previous fate. Theres no fate, no place to rest. Isnt that the best refuge? Its hard to stop suddenly. After I finish the competition between reason and emotion, I still laugh at myself, maybe I am the most naive one. 《理智与情感》的英语读后感篇4Sense and Sensibility was the first Jane Austen published. Though she initially called it Elinor and Marianne,Austen jettisoned both the title and the epistolary mode in which it wasoriginally written, but kept the essential theme: the necessity of finding a workable middle ground between passion and reason. The story revolves around the Dashwood sisters,Elinor and Marianne.Whereas the former is a sensible, rational creature, her younger sister is wildly romantica characteristic that offers Austen plenty of scope for both satire and compassion. Commenting on Edward Ferrars,a potential suitor for Elinor‘s hand,Marianne admits that while she "loves him tenderly," she finds him disappointing as a possible lover for her sister. Soon however, Marianne meets a man who measures up to her ideal: Mr. Willoughby, a new neighbor. So swept away by passion is Marianne that her behavior begins to border on the scandalous. Then Willoughby abandons her; meanwhile,Elinor‘s growing affection for Edward suffers a check when he admits he is secretly engaged to a childhood sweetheart. How each of the sisters reacts to their romantic misfortunes, and the lessons they draw before coming finally to the requisite happy ending forms the heart of the novel.Though Marianne‘s disregard for social conventions and willingness to consider the world well-lost for love may appeal to modern readers, it is Elinor whom Austen herself most evidently admired; a truly happy marriage, she shows us,exists only where sense and sensibility meet and mix in proper measure.。

理智与情感英文读后感理智与情感英文读后感The story on Sense and Sensibility happened in the late eighteenth century, telling us that two sisters of Dashwood's pursued their love and marriage. The elder sister Elinor is full of sense and could deal with everything with calm thinking. However, his younger sister Marianne always attempt to understand the world with an excess of sensibility. They had a little sister who was too young to completely understand the passion and the pursuit of love of her two sisters. Their mother Mrs, Dashwood regarded everything as sentimentality who is very much like her daughter Marianne. Mrs. Dash wood married Mr, Dashwood after his first wife passed away. His ex-wife left a son called John Dashwood. After many years, Mr. Dashwood died of the acute disease and he left his estates and most of the money to his son. Mrs. Dashwood and her daughters didn't inherit anything. Although his son promised to take good care of his step mother and younger sisters, he didn't keep his word because of the selfness of his wife.Sense and Sensibility build a series of diverse characters, however, for me, the most and powerful figure is Elinor. Elinor, the elder daughter of the Dashwoods, was a rational and emotional girl.At the very start, Elinor showed more sense and intelligence than her mother and younger sister. She worked carefully and considerately. She was always polite and graceful no matter who she faced. Moreover, she could permanently keep calm and sensible when she talked with others no matter the topic they talked about. It seemed that she could do anything discreetly. In addition, Elinor is also a beautiful kind girl who was clever at discovering merit of other people. For Mrs. Jennings, Elinor always mentioned her warmth, generosity and justice, although thebehavior of Mrs. Jennings showed that she was a silly woman. In order that Mrs. Jennings could enjoy herself at home in London but not receive the ridicule and indifference from Marianne, and that Marianne didn't hurt herself by overdoing anything, she accepted the invitation and headed for London with her younger sister. I think, all of these showed that she is a sane person but not showed that she lacked sensibility. By contrast, Elinor was full of emotion like her younger sister, however, she was better at controlling this kind of emotion. She lost her heart to Edward and never changed her mind no matter what happened to him. She didn't abandon Edward, regardless of the fact that he wasn't good at conversation and his behavior was prim. She loved himthanks to his integrity and tolerance. Her feeling of Edward was faithful and changeless, which proved that Elinor was rational as well as emotional. She owed a clear and lucid mind to control some unnecessary emotional impulse. Sense and kindness are the proper charm of Elinor. After reading this novel, I think, we should have unhealthy emotion but that doesn't mean emotional reasoning. As a person, if we owed the proper emotion and personality, and at the same time we can control it with reason and sense, we could get the true happiness.。

理智与情感英语感想
理智与情感英语感想"Sense and Sensibility" is a classic novel by Jane Austenthat delves into the complexities of societal expectationsand the inner workings of the human heart. As an English teacher, I often find myself reflecting on the themes and character development presented in this work, which canprovide valuable lessons for my students. The novel is a rich tapestry of characters, each representing different aspects of the society of the time. The Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, are the central figures, embodying the title's themes of sense and sensibility. Elinor, the epitome of reason and restraint, often struggles with her duty to uphold social norms while dealing with her personal feelings. Marianne, on the other hand, is a creature of passion and emotion, whose impulsiveness often leads to heartache. The contrast between the sisters serves as a powerful exploration of the balance between head and heart. It's a theme that resonates with students as they navigate their own emotional landscapes and societal pressures. Teaching this novel is an opportunity to discuss the importance of self-awareness and the consequences of letting either logic or emotion dominate one's decisions.Austen's wit and social commentary are sharp, providing a critical lens through which students can examine theconstructs of their own society. The novel is not just a love story; it's a critique of the marriage market and the limitations placed on women during the 18th century. It encourages students to think critically about gender roles, social mobility, and the power dynamics within relationships. In terms of language and style, "Sense and Sensibility" is a masterclass in irony, subtlety, and the art of conversation. The dialogue is crisp and the descriptions are vivid, yet Austen's true skill lies in her ability to convey the characters' thoughts and feelings through their speech and actions. This is a valuable lesson for students in writing and communication, as it demonstrates how to convey meaning and character without explicit exposition.Overall, teaching "Sense and Sensibility" is a rewarding experience. It allows students to engage with a rich and complex narrative that encourages critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the human condition. Thenovel's exploration of love, family, and social standing is as relevant today as it was in Austen's time, making it a timeless piece of literature that continues to inspire and educate.。

Actually, Elinor was a virtuous girl, sense is a kind of inner character of her, she was generous, gentle, calm and polite to all the people around her, including the people who hurted her, such as Lucy. Concerning love, Elinor also zealous in the affair between Edward and her, because of her belief, tolerance and sense, she finally won a happy end, and got married with her lover Edward.Compared with Elinor, Marianne’s suffering, not only brings agony to herself, but also the people who around and care about her. The reason underlies this consequence is the sensibility exits in Marianne’s inner character. Therefore ,we can see transparently that sense is a very important principle in our daily life.In the real life, abundant emotion should be involved, while it is not equal to acting impetuously, when necessary, our thoughts and emotions should be rational constrained by sense. In the novelist ---Jane Austen’s mind, dealing with a matter cautiously and heart impulse should be well balanced. She respects the view that money can buy elegant life, on the contrary, she pays more attention to interpersonal relationships. 《理智与情感》英语读后感范文
《理智与情感》英语阅读体验《理智与情感》读完英语后我Sense and sensibility is a novel written by Jane Austen that was first published in 1811. when talking about Jane Austen, I can say confidently that I have a good knowledge to her. She (16 December 1775-18 July 1817) was an English novelist whose works of romantic fiction, set among thelanded gentry, earned her a place as one of the most widely read writers in English literature, her realism and biting social mentary cementing her historical importance among scholars and critics. In her short and glorious life, shewrote about dozens of famous novels, such as sense and sensibility, pride and prejudice, Mansfield park, Emma and so on. When I was a high school student, I had once read the Chinese version of pride and prejudice, through this novel, I have a preliminary understanding of Jane Austen’s vision of love, and realize the life of British girl in that period, but not deep, while, I am really engaged in the style of Jane Austen’s novel, and yearn for a deep understanding o f her novel, the era she lived, so when the teacher asked us toread a English novel, I chose sense and sensibility writtenby Jane Austen. The story in this book concerns two sister, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood (Elinor represents “sense” and Marianneis “sensibility”). Along with their mother and young sister, they were evict from their residence Norland Park after the death of their father, they moved to a country cottageoffered by a generous relative with on other choice. Before they moved out of their former residence, Elinor fell in love with the gentleman Edward Ferrars who was her sister-in-law’s brother, unfortunately, she was unware of the engagement between Edward and Lucy, after hearing that bad news, instead of anger, despair , she showed her calm and sense, to Edward, she expressed her understanding and belief. Concerning love, Elinor also zealous in the affair between Edward and her, because of her belief, tolerance and sense, she finally won a happy end, and got married with her lover Edward.Marianne also was a virtuous, with passion and fansaty, she always dreamed one day that she can marry a handsome gentle and rich man. After their move, Marianne met Willoughby, a dashing young man who leaded her into undisciplined behaviour, so that she ignored the faithful (but a lot older) gentleman Colonel Brandon. Unfortunately, Willoughby was a greedy and unchaste man who finally discarded Marianne then married a rich lady. Marianne was inconsolable, and nearly died, during this time, Colonel Brandon acpanied with her, and faced and conquered every difficulty together. She was eventually moved by Colonel Brandon, and finally realized the he was the person that she can entrust lifelong.Compared with Elinor, Marianne’s suffering, not only brings agony to herself, but also the people who around and care about her. The reason underlies this consequence is the sensibility exits in Marianne’s inner character. In one word, sense is more important than sensibility for Jane herself. As for us, just as mentioned before, sense should be regarded as a kind of life principle, a habits for consideration. The road of life is tough, we’ll e across a mass of difficulties when we municate with our colleagues, friends, also when we dealing with jobs. Facing those puzzles, without the sense, lose temper bees potluck. This actually do notfocus on solving the problems, what’s more, it makes them more plex.In consequence, refer to the friendship, teammates relationship, and the other plicated polytropic relations, we can think about more rational way to conduct them, it is definitely favorable for us to conquer the problems.《理智与情感》读完《英语2》Sense and Sensibility was the first Jane Austen published. 理智和情感英语观后感作文
理智和情感英语观后感作文As I sat down to pen my thoughts on the classic Jane Austen novel, "Sense and Sensibility," I was immediately transported back to the early 19th century England, a time where societal norms and the quest for marriage played a significant role in the lives of young women. The novel, a rich tapestry of love, loss, and the struggle between reason and emotion, has left an indelible mark on my understanding of the complexities of human nature. The Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, are the central figures around whom the narrative revolves. Elinor, the epitome of sense, is a character whose restraint and level-headedness are both admirable and, at times, frustrating. Her ability to suppress her feelings for Edward Ferrars, despite the palpable chemistry between them, is a testament to her strength and the societal expectations of the time. Conversely, Marianne, the embodiment of sensibility, wears her heart on her sleeve, experiencing love and heartbreak with a fervor that is both captivating and cautionary. The juxtaposition of the sisters' approaches to love and life is a masterstroke by Austen. It presents a dichotomy that invites readers to ponder the merits of both emotional openness and prudent restraint. Marianne's passionate pursuit of love with John Willoughby is a rollercoaster of affection that ultimately leads to heartbreak and a humbling lesson in the importance of sense. Meanwhile, Elinor's stoic handlingof her own romantic tribulations, though it causes her personal anguish, ultimately leads to a more stable and secure future.Austen's exploration of the themes of love, social class, and the roles of women is both insightful and timeless. The novel is a critique of the societal constraints that limit the sisters' choices and opportunities. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of balancing one's sensibilities with a sense of practicality and foresight. One cannot discuss "Sense and Sensibility" without mentioning the wit and humor that lace the narrative. Austen's keen observations of human behavior and her sharp, satirical style provide a delightful backdrop to the more serious themes of the story. The characters are well-drawn, and their interactions are both entertaining and revealing of their true natures. In conclusion, "Sense and Sensibility" is a novel that resonates with readers across the ages. It is a story that delves into the heart of human emotion and the societal constructs that govern it. The journey of the Dashwoodsisters is one of growth and self-discovery, reminding usthat while love is a powerful force, it must be tempered with sense to lead to a life of contentment and happiness.Austen's work is not just a love story; it is a profound commentary on the human condition and the balance between head and heart.。
理智与情感英文读后感
理智与情感英文读后感Sense and Sensibility is a novel written by Jane Austen, published in 1811. It is a thought-provoking exploration of the theme of rationality versus emotion. Through the experiences of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, the novel delves into the complexities and challenges faced by individuals in navigating these two opposing forces in their lives. The novel opens with the death of Mr. Henry Dashwood, leaving his second wife, Mrs. Dashwood, and her three daughters with nothing but a modest income. This event sets the stage for the clash between sense, represented by Elinor, and sensibility, represented by Marianne. Elinor is characterized as the rational and practical sister, while Marianne is portrayed as the sentimental and romantic one.Throughout the novel, Elinor consistently exhibits self-control and composure in the face of adversity. She shoulders the burden of managing their reduced circumstances and puts the needs of her family before her own. Elinor's rationality is evident in her ability to restrain her emotions and make good decisions even when faced with heartbreak. Despite being deeply in love with Edward Ferrars, she hides her feelings and supports him when he is engaged to another woman. Elinor's intelligence and level-headedness make her a reliable and trustworthy character, someone who is capable of taking charge in difficult situations. On the other hand, Marianne is driven by her emotions. She wears her heart on her sleeve and allows her feelings to guide her actions. Marianne falls deeply in love with John Willoughby and embracesthe intensity of their connection. However, her emotional attachment blinds her to his true character, and she suffers greatly when he abandons her for wealth and privilege. Marianne's journey throughout the novel serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the dangers of unbridled sensibility and the importance of tempering emotions with reason.Sense and Sensibility explores the consequences of both an excessive reliance on reason and an unchecked display of emotions. Elinor's adherence to sense can at times make her seem cold and unfeeling, while Marianne's indulgence in sensibility can lead her to make impulsive decisions. The novel ultimately advocates for a balance between the two forces, emphasizing the importance of rationality guided by human emotion. This theme resonated with me personally as it reminded me of the delicate balance between intellect and emotions in my own life. I have often found myself torn between what I think is logical and what I feel is right. Reading about the Dashwood sisters' struggles and triumphs helped me reflect on the necessity of both reason and emotions in making sound decisions.Furthermore, Austen's portrayal of the societal expectations and limitations placed on women in the 19th century underscores the complexities inherent in the choices made by the characters. The Dashwood sisters are constantly grappling with the expectations of society, which often clash with their own desires. Elinor's decision to conceal her love for Edward Ferrars highlights the sacrifices women were expected to make in order to preserve their reputation and social standing. In conclusion, Sense and Sensibility is a timeless novel that offers profound insights into the human condition. It serves as a reminder that life is a delicate interplay between reason and emotions, and that finding the right balance is key to navigating the complexities of relationships and societal expectations. Through the experiences of Elinor and Marianne, Austen presents a compelling exploration of the eternal struggle between sense and sensibility.。

理智与情感英文读后感1The story on Sense and Sensibility happened in the late eighteenth century, telling us that two sisters of Dashwood"s pursued their love and marriage. Mrs. Dashwood and her daughters didn"t inherit anything. Although his son promised to take good care of his step mother and younger sisters, he didn"t keep his word because of the selfness of his wife.Sense and Sensibility build a series of diverse characters, however, for me, the most and powerful figure is Elinor. Elinor, the elder daughter of the Dashwoods, was a rational and emotional girl.At the very start, Elinor showed more sense and intelligence than her mother and younger sister. She workedcarefully and considerately. For Mrs. Jennings, Elinor always mentioned her warmth, generosity and justice, although the behavior of Mrs. Jennings showed that she was a silly woman. In order that Mrs. Jennings could enjoy herself at home in London but not receive the ridicule and indifference from Marianne, and that Marianne didn"t hurt herself by overdoing anything, she accepted the invitation and headed for London with her younger sister. I think, all of these showed that she is a sane person but not showed that she lacked sensibility. By contrast, Elinor was full of emotion like her younger sister, however, she was better at controlling this kind of emotion. She lost her heart to Edward and never changed her mind no matter what happened to him. She didn"t abandon Edward, regardless of the fact that he wasn"t good at conversation and his behavior was prim. After reading this novel, I think, we should have unhealthy emotion but that doesn"t mean emotional reasoning. As a person, if we owed the proper emotion and personality, and at the same time we can control it with reason and sense, we could get the true happiness.理智与情感英文读后感2SENSE AND SENSIBILITY The story on Sense and Sensibility happened in the late eighteenth century, telling us that two sisters of Dashwood's pursued their love and marriage. After watching the film Becoming Jane played by Anne Hathaway and reading the book Sense and Sensibility , I feel complicated because it seems that all in Jane’s life, she made a decision between sense and sensibility. The book could be regarded as her real story or someone else’s. Who knows? Love and sense are enemies at any age. There was an important person in her career, the authoress Mrs Radeliffe whose novels were filled with romance, danger and terror, anything her life was not.At that time, a woman’s dream of being an authoress was not so easy to come true. As if the writing a woman did not display the greatest powers of mind, knowledge of human nature, the liveliest effusions of wit and humour. And people thought having a wife with a literary reputation was nothing short of scandalous. But with an independent thought, she made it!In her love world, there were two men. One was Tom Lefroy, a handsome, social guy but totally depending on his uncle. Another was Wisley, a booby having a respectable property of 20xxa year, in addition to even greater expectations as Lady Gresh am’s heir. So Tom standed for love or sensibility and Wisley standed for money or sense.Jane didn’t believe the saying “Affection is desirable, money is absolutely indispensable.” In other words, she gave up a splendid home, a comfortable life and chose Tom. But whenshe found their love will destroy Tom’s family, her sense told her to make the great decision to leave him to avoid a long slow degradation of guilt and regret and blame. What a pity she can’t marry with the one who she doesn’t love even a loved one!In her short life, Jane Austen wrote six of the greatest novels in the English Language.Tom Lefroy had a successful career as a lawyer and named his eldest daughter Jane.Jane never married in her life.。

理智与情感英文读后感Title: Sense and Sensibility A Reflection。
Sense and Sensibility is a novel written by Jane Austen, which tells the story of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, as they navigate the challenges of love, societal expectations, and personal growth. The novel explores the contrast between sense, represented by Elinor, and sensibility, represented by Marianne, and how these two qualities shape their experiences and relationships. After reading the novel, I found myself reflecting on the themesof rationality and emotion, and how they intersect in our own lives. One of the most compelling aspects of Sense and Sensibility is the way in which Austen portrays the tension between sense and sensibility. Elinor embodies thequalities of sense she is rational, pragmatic, andrestrained in her emotions. In contrast, Marianne is characterized by her sensibility she is passionate, impulsive, and guided by her emotions. Throughout the novel, the sisters face various trials and tribulations, and their differing approaches to life and love significantly impact their outcomes. As I read the novel, I found myself drawn to Elinor's character and her embodiment of sense. Her ability toremain composed and logical in the face of adversity is admirable, and her strength lies in her ability to make decisions based on reason rather than emotion. Elinor's approach to life serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a level-headed perspective, especially in times of turmoil. Her resilience and self-control are qualities that I aspire to embody in my own life, and her character serves as a source of inspiration for navigating the complexities of human relationships. On the other hand, Marianne's sensibility and emotional nature also resonated with me on a deep level. Her intense feelings and passionate nature are a reminder of the richness and depth of human emotion. While herimpulsiveness and vulnerability lead her to experienceheartache and disappointment, her willingness to embrace her emotions fully is a testament to the power of vulnerability and authenticity. Marianne's character serves as a reminder of the importance of acknowledging and honoring our emotions, even in the face of societal expectations and norms.Through the experiences of the Dashwood sisters, Austen skillfully portrays the delicate balance between sense and sensibility, and the ways in which these qualitiesintersect and influence one another. The novel serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities of human nature and the challenges of navigating the intricacies of love and relationships. As I reflected on the novel, I found myself contemplating the ways in which I navigate the interplay between reason and emotion in my own life.In my own experiences, I have often grappled with the tension between sense and sensibility. There have been times when I have been guided by logic and reason, making decisions based on practicality and long-term considerations. At other times, I have been swept up in thetumult of emotions, allowing my feelings to guide my actions and choices. Reading Sense and Sensibility has prompted me to consider the ways in which I can integrate both sense and sensibility in my own life, finding a harmonious balance between the two.Ultimately, Sense and Sensibility serves as a timeless exploration of the human experience, and the enduring relevance of its themes is a testament to Austen's insight into the complexities of human nature. The novel'sportrayal of the interplay between reason and emotion is a reminder of the importance of finding equilibrium in our own lives, and the ways in which we can navigate the challenges of love, relationships, and personal growth. As I closed the final pages of the novel, I found myself contemplating the lessons of Elinor and Marianne's journey, and the ways in which their experiences resonate with my own. Sense and Sensibility is a timeless classic that continues to offer profound insights into the human heart, and its exploration of sense and sensibility will undoubtedly continue to captivate readers for generations to come.。

理智与情感英文读后感Title: Sensibility and Sensitivity A Reflection on the Balance of Rationality and Emotion。
As human beings, we are often torn between the realms of rationality and emotion. We are constantly faced with the challenge of finding the right balance between the two, as they both play crucial roles in shaping our thoughts, behaviors, and decisions. In the novel "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen, the author explores this delicate balance through the lives of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne. Through their experiences, Austen provides valuable insights into the complexities of human nature and the importance of finding harmony between reason and feeling. The character of Elinor represents rationality and self-control. She is described as a sensible, practical, and level-headed individual who always thinks before she acts. Elinor's ability to remain composed and rational in the face of adversity is admirable, and it is evident that her approach to life is guided by logic and reason. Marianne's intense emotions often lead her to act on impulse, without considering the potential consequences of her actions. Sense and sensibility(理智与情感)The next I will introduce another works of Jane Austen to you ——sense and sensibility, whose original name is “Elinor and Marrianne”. To emphasize the theme, it had modified to be “sense and sensibility” before it. Therefore, we can know that Elinor and Marianne are the core character of this text from the title. The text tell us a family story, after the old owner of Norland park—Herry Dashwood passed away, his only son by his former wife-John Dashwood inherited Norland park and leaving his present wife and their three daughters, Elinor, Marianne, and Margaret. Elinor had an excellent heart- her disposition was affectionate and her feelings were strong, but she knew how to govern them. Marianne was sensible and clever; but eager in everything, who could have no moderation, but was generous, amiable and interesting. She was everything but prudent. The resemblance between her and her mother was strikingly great. It was well known that no affection was ever supposed to exist between the children of any man by diffeerent marriages. What’s more, John’s wife-Fanny Ferrars, who is so snobbish and mean that John obey her advice. Soon after, these girls were drived away their home. With the help of their relatives, they moves into avillage-Barton cottage. But before they leaved Norland park, there is a episode there. Fanny’s little brother Edward Ferrars has a visit to Norland park, who was introduced to their sisters. Edward is a gentlmen and pleasing young man. Surprisingly, there was a growing attachment between Edward and Ellinor. Because of the difference of their status, Elinor always restrained her feelings. Ventually, they leaved Norland park with many regrets and look for a new life.In Barton cottage, they are widely popular with native people and soon acquainced with many friends. The most noticable person is colonel Brandon- he was silent and grave. His appearance however was not unpleasing. He is thirty-five years old, though his face was not handsome, his countenance was sensible, and his address was particularly. They just met, but he’s fallen in love with Marrianne. Marrianne thought he is too old to accept him. In Marrianne’s eyes, the person like him so old can’t met true love. After few months, Marrianne come across Willoughby in a rain day. When her fact had been twisted in her fall, who is youth, beauty and elegant, their taste was strikingly alike. The same books, the same passages were idolized by each. Marrianne thought he was a man of good abilities, quick imagination, living spirits and open affectionate manners. He was exactly formed to engage Marrianne’s heart. They are so intimate that all off them are sure she will be married to Willoughby very soon. Unfortunately, willoughby was sent to London on business for a year. Therefore, they have to separated for the time being. On the other hand, Lucy Steels told Elinor a truth secretly. She has been engaged with Edward for four years. Hearing the news, Elinor struggled against the oppression of her feelings. As was expected, Mrs Ferries strongly objected to their marriage. Edward was deprived of the right of succession. Elinor tried her best to supply a proper position for Edward. But lucy should abandoned skint Edward quickly married to Edward’s brother. Eventually, free Edward realized the sound of his heart and came back to found Elinor again. They have a happy ending.Let's turn back Willoughby and Marrianne, after willoughby left barton cottage, Marrianne is so heart broken. Because of a series of coincidence, Elinor and Marrianne have a chance to go London, but this journal is so disappointing. In London, Marrianne know clearly about Willoughby. Firstly, Willoughby played with clonol Brandon’s adopted daughter. When she was pregnant and left her, in other words, he mercilessly abandoned her. Lately, he abandoned Marrianne just because Marrianne is penniless. In London, he was married to a lady with 30000 pound heritage. He totally ignored other feeling but himself. For this, through a series illness, she was greatly discerning.Eventually, clonel Brandon was now as happy. He deserved to be married to Marrianne, and Marrianne found her own happiness from Brandon. There is no doubt that the meaning of the title, Elinor symbolize sense while Marrianne symbolize sensibility. Whether it is sense or sensibility to everyone satisfying, they are both find their true love. The another works we have known pride and prejudice has the similar plot and the feature of figures have the strong feelings. The full text uses satire rhetorical and shaped a series of vivid characters. Most importantly, the kind has the perfect ending. The works of Jane Austen make us believe the good are well rewarded and the bad are punished to lead us to establish the proper values.程前20153403450。
