一、说教材
本节课是人教版新目标英语八年级下第十单元第一课时。本单元在前两个单元的基础上进一步学习现在完成时,使学生能正确使用现在完成时询问并表达持续性动作或状态。本节课为本单元第一课时,主要谈论拥有的物品,使学生初步理解持续性动作与状态。
二、说教学目标
1、知识目标:
单词: yard, yard sale, sweet, memory, cent.
句型:How long have you had ….?
I’ve had it/them for…
How long has he/she had …?
He/She has had it/them for…
2、能力目标:
培养学生用本课内容进行情景交际的能力,从而提高学生的语言综合运用能力。
3、情感目标:
通过本课的学习,使学生了解国外的庭院销售。
三、说教学重点及难点
教学重点:熟练运目标句型来谈论所拥有的物品。
How long have you had ….?I’ve had it/them for…
How long has he/she had …He/She has had it/them for…
教学难点: 听力练习及如何使学生大胆地在课堂上说英语。
四、说教法
本节课主要采用了听说教学法,使学生在尽可能真实的语言环境中通过练习掌握目标语言,以达到学以致用。
五、说教学准备
教师认真研读教材、教参,制作多媒体课件。
学生预习新课。
六、说教学过程
Step1 Greeting and lead-in.
1.Greet the students in everyday English.
2.Lead-in
Show a picture of a bike and talk about it to lead in the new lesson. T: What’s this?
S: It’s a bike.
T: Yes, this is my bike. I bought the bike three years ago. So I can say “I’ve had the bike for three years”.
Step 2 Presentation
Show different kinds of things and present the target language:
I bought the book seven years ago. I have had the book for seven years.
I bought the watch three years ago. I have had the watch for three years.
I bought the cellphone two years ago. I have had the cellphone for two years.
Step 3 Ask and answer
Ask and answer with students to make students understand the sentence pattern.
T: Do you have...?
S1: Yes, I do.
T: How long have you had it/them?
S1: I have had it/them for...
Step 4 Pair work
Ask students to make conversations in pairs by using the following pattern.
A: Do you have...?
B: Yes, I do.
A: How long have you had it/them?
B: I have had it/them for...
Ask some pairs to show their conversations to the whole class.
Step 5 Work in three
Ask students to make conversations in groups of three by using the following sentence pattern.
A: How long have you had …?
B: I’ve had it /them for ...
A: How long has he/she had it/them?
C: He/She has had it/them for…
Ask some students to show their conversations to the whole class. Step 6 Listening
1.Ask students to listen to the conversation and answer the questions: Who are the people in the conversation? What’s the relationship between the two people?
2.Ask students to listen again and check the facts they hear in 1b.
3.Check the answers with students.
Step 7 Pair work
Have students make their own conversations according to 1c.
A: How long have you had the book?
B: I’ve had it for seven years.
A:Why are you selling it?
B: Because I don’t read it anymore.
A: How much is it?
B: You can have it for 75 cents.
Ask some pairs to show their conversations to the whole class.
