That's why I'm so excited to apply for the 5-year undergraduate program here in Jiangsu province!Ever since I was a little kid, I've always been really curious about the world around me. I'm constantly asking "why" about everything. Why is the sky blue? Why do birds have feathers? Why do we need to go to school? My parents have had to be really patient with me because I just have so many questions! I love learning and exploring new topics. My favorite subjects in school are math and science. I find them both really fascinating. In math, I'm amazed at how many different ways there are to solve a single problem. I enjoy the logic puzzles we do and figuring out the strategies to get theright answer. Science is also super cool because it helps explain so much about how the natural world works. I've loved doing experiments in our classroom, like the baking soda and vinegar volcano, or using a prism to split light into a rainbow. Maybe when I grow up I'll become a mathematician or a scientist!Outside of school, I have some hobbies that also connect to learning. I'm a huge reader and go through book after book from the library ormy collection at home. My favorites are science fiction novels that explore crazy future concepts like time travel, aliens, or robots. I also really enjoy watching educational TV shows and videos about animals, history, or how things are made. You'd be amazed at how interesting and fun learning can be!My parents have been a big inspiration for my love of learning too. Both of them went to excellent universities here in China and have had really successful careers because of their education. My dad is an engineer who designs roads and bridges. He's explained to me the importance of studying math and physics to understand the forces and materials involved. My mom worked as a chemist developing new products for a big company. She'stalked to me about using the scientific method, making hypotheses, and experimental trial and error. They'veshown me how valuable and rewarding it is to get a quality education. That's why going to a top university has been my biggest goal for as long as I can remember. Here's to an amazing future full of learning and growth!篇2My Dream of Becoming a ScientistHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm a 5th grader from Nanjing. I'm super excited to apply for the 5-year undergraduate program at your amazing university! Ever since I was a tiny kid, I've dreamed of becoming a scientist when I grow up. Let me tell you all about my big dreams and why I think I'd be the perfect student for your program. For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with taking things apart and putting them back together again to see how they work. When I was 3 years old, I completely dismantled my mom's blow dryer and all the TV remotes! My parents were not too happy about that. But I was just following my curiosity about how those gadgets operated. In kindergarten, I was the kid who always had a new "experiment" to show my classmates during show-and-tell. One time, I brought in a potato that had sprouted tons of roots and shoots after I left it in a cupboard for weeks. I explained to myfriends all about how potatoes can regenerate into entire new plants from just a single tuber. Another time, I showed how dropping mint candies into a bottle of soda makes the liquid change colors in cool ways. I loved watching my classmates' faces light up as they learned about the magic of science! My favorite day of the school week is when we have our science lab period. I'm always the first one to raise my hand to answer the teacher's questions about the scientific conceptswe're learning. Dissolving solids into liquids, exploring electrical circuits, learning about the planets and stars - I soak it all up like a sponge! The experiments are definitely the hands-on highlight for me. I focus so intently on following each step properly and recording all my observations. Whenever we do group experiments, my teammates always crack up at how seriously I take it all.I will never forget the thrill of attending my first real science museum when I was 7 years old. Walking through the exhibits and interactive displays, I was in total awe. There were models of the human body, a TV monitor showing live video from the Hubble Space Telescope, even a fake "rainforest" environment with misters and animal sounds! My imagination was firing on allcylinders as I dreamed of one day being a scientist who could contribute mind-blowing discoveries and inventions like these.Another major influence on my scientific aspirations has been binge-watching science TV shows and documentaries with my dad on the weekends. We've learned so much about the mysteries of quantum physics, the evolution of life on Earth, upcoming space missions to Mars, and more. I'll never get tired of seeing those jaw-dropping CGI visualizations of black holes, volcanic eruptions, cellular processes, and other amazing phenomena. It's like getting a window into the secret codes that govern how our universe operates at every level, from the biggest to the smallest. So cool!In my free time, I'm always coming up with little science projects to work on. For my latest experiment, I set up a worm bin in our backyard to explore how worms help break down decaying organic matter into nutrient-rich soil. I even made my own little microscope by taping a few lenses together with putty so I could get a closer look at the worms wriggling around. I recorded observations about their behaviors and how the compost decomposed over time. I can't wait to set up more eco-columns and terrariums to simulate other environments!I'm also super fortunate that my parents take every opportunity to encourage my scientific interests. For my 10th birthday, they got me the ultimate present: a huge science kit with a build-your-own telescope, chemistry set, rock tumblers, anatomical models, robot building tools, test tubes, you name it! I've been having a blast using all the equipment and providing my own "lab reports" about my findings. My biggest accomplishments so far have been successfully growing crystal gardens and launching a tiny rocket I constructed all by myself. Who knows, maybe I'll become a chemist, roboticist, or aerospace engineer someday?Well, I could ramble on forever about my dreams of unlocking the secrets of the universe through scientific exploration and discovery. But those are just some of the key reasons why I know I'd be an excellent fit for your university's undergraduate program. I have a deep well of curiosity, passion for hands-on learning, and commitment to acquiring as much scientific knowledge as I possibly can. Choosing your school to pursue a science degree would enable me to take my childhood wonderment and transform it into making real contributions to expanding human understanding. Just imagine theout-of-this-world experiments and research possibilities!I really hope you'll strongly consider my application. Becoming one of your students and joining a community of like-minded science lovers would be better than any birthday present. Your university could unlock my full potential to achieve something amazing that could change the world. Maybe I'll even earn a Nobel Prize someday! Helping to solve the mysteries of life, curing diseases, inventing new technologies - that's the mind-blowing path I was born to take. With your world-class resources and faculty by my side, there's no limit to what I could discover. The future of science starts right here, right now, with kids like me. So let's team up and get our science on!Thank you so much for your consideration. I'll be counting down the days until I hear your decision!Sincerely,Xiao Ming篇3My Big Dream - Going to a Good UniversityHi, my name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I'm a student in the 5th grade at Nanjing Road Primary School. Today I want to tell you all about my big dream for the future!Ever since I was a little kid, I've dreamed of going to a fantastic university. Not just any university, but one of the best ones in the whole country. That's my biggest goal and I'm working really hard to make it happen. You see, in China we have what's called the "gaokao" which is a huge examination that pretty much decides what university you can attend based on your score. It's really important and extremely difficult. I've heard horror stories about how stressful and pressure-filled the gaokao preparation is. But I'm determined to do well on it no matter what. That's why from a young age, my parents started putting a lot of emphasis on my studies. They'd always tell me "Education is the key to success in life. If you don't study hard, you'll never get into a top university." At first, all the studying and homework wasn't that fun. But after a while, I started to really enjoy learning new things and challenging myself. In our city of Nanjing, there's a special program called the "5-year university preparation stream." Basically, while you're still in primary and middle school, you get prepared for the gaokao through an accelerated curriculum and extra tutoring. My parents enrolled me in this program in the 3rd grade after I aced the entrance exam. That's when my studies kicked into overdrive! These days, I spend about 3 hours per night on homework alone. Then there are classes on weekends and regular exams to check my progress. It's a total grind, but I know it will all be worth it. My goal is to get into one of the top universities in Jiangsu province like Nanjing University or Suzhou University when the time comes. What appeals to me most is the prospect of being surrounded by other talented and hardworking students in an atmosphere focused on learning and self-improvement. At a good university, I'll be able to explore my passion for subjects like math, science, literature, you name it! The resources and opportunities will be endless.I have so many interests that I don't even know what I want to choose as a major yet. Part of me loves numbers and theory, so maybe I'll go into engineering, computer science or finance. But another part of me is really drawn to language and culture, so an humanities field like translation or international studies could be a possibility too. I try not to decide too soon since I'm still young with plenty of time to figure it all out.Whatever I end up studying though, I know that a great university education will open a world of doors for me. With a top degree, I can get an amazing job afterward and really makesomething of myself. Maybe I'll become a successful entrepreneur or a renowned scholar? Or both? The possibilities are limitingless. That's my dream for the future - to work incredibly hard now so that I can attend an elite university. It will be tough, but I'm motivated and determined. I'll do whatever it takes through discipline, time management, and sheer grit. Failure is not an option for me.My parents always tell me "Where you go to university will determine where you'll go in life." It's daunting, but I don't want to settle for anything less than reaching my full potential. With the opportunities provided by a stellar university, I can unlock my true talents and make my grand vision a reality.I have such big dreams - making groundbreaking innovations, starting my own company, becoming a respected leader. But I know the first crucial step is getting into a great university through the gaokao. That's why at this stage of my life, pretty much my entire childhood is gaokao prep. Playdates, videogames, watching TV...those are luxuries I can't afford to indulge in too much right now. Maybe after I get into my dream school! It's a lot of pressure, sure. But I choose to view it as motivation rather than stress. The road ahead may be arduous, but just picturing myself in the hallowed halls of an elite university keeps me going. When I imagine walking across that stage to get my diploma, graduated from one of the best schools around, well...that makes all the hard work worthwhile.Sometimes I get reallyreally tired from the constant assignments and cramming. Or I'll be jealous of friends who get to goof off way more than me. During those low points, I remind myself about the bigger picture. A few years of intense work now could set me up for an amazing future and the life I've always wanted. That's what empowers me to push through any feelings of burnout or negativity. My friends think I'm pretty crazy for how seriously I take my studies. They'll joke "Doesn't Xiaoming ever have fun anymore?" And sure, maybe my life isn't as carefree as some other kids' right now. But I know it's a small tradeoff for the opportunity to attend an incredible university. Once I'm there, THEN I can join a ton of clubs, make memories with new friends, and experience the full richness of student life.At the end of the day though, getting into a top university isn't just about working hard. You have to be smart about HOWyou prep for the gaokao. That's why my parents also hired me a private tutor to make sure I'm studying efficiently. His name is Mr. Zhang and he's a gaokao expert who has helped hundreds of students get into their dream schools.Mr. Zhang doesn't just make me cram practice tests and memorize facts. He's taught me strategies for how to approach each subject section, insights into the types of questions that get asked, techniques for managing my time effectively during the marathon exams, and all sorts of other important tips and tricks. Having an experienced tutor mentor has made a huge difference.Whenever I feel overwhelmed, Mr. Zhang reminds me to focus on the basics - study habits, practice, confidence, and a cando attitude. He's taught me that the gaokao isn't just about academics, it's also a mental game. If I can master my mindset and approach it with the proper techniques, the content itself becomes much more manageable. With Mr. Zhang's guidance combined with my hard work,I'm confident I can earn a top score on the gaokao when the time comes. And then, I'll finally be able to apply to all the prestigious universities that have been my goal since childhood! Justthinking about receiving that life-changing admissions letter fills me with excitement and determination.Of course, the path won't be easy. Between now and my date with the gaokao destiny, there will be many long study sessions, tough exams that challenge me, moments where I want to give up. But I'll keep pushing, because I know it will all be worth it to make my big dream a reality. When I walk onto that hallowed university campus for the first time as an official student, well...there's no better feeling in the world.Sometimes my parents will joke that they'll be able to retire in luxury once I become a big success after attending an elite university. While I know they're just kidding around, part of me hopes I can make that a reality too. To be able to support and give back to the family who sacrificed so much for my education, that would be the ultimate way to honor their selflessness.More than that though, I just want to live a life where I can constantly challenge myself, pursue my passions, and hopefully make a positive impact on the world. With a foundation from a great university, I'll be equipped to do whatever I set my mind to.Maybe I'll start a business that creates jobs and innovative products. Maybe I'll become a scientist who helps solve global issues like disease or climate change. Or maybe I'll become aprofessor who passes on knowledge to the next generation. Whatever I end up doing, I know my university experience will be the launchpad.Wow, writing all this out has me feeling even more fired up to work hard and make my dream happen! The path ahead may be difficult, but I have my eyes on the prize - attending one of China's best universities. With discipline, the right strategies, and undying passion, I'm confident I can turn this dream into reality.Just watch, in a few years you'll be seeing me walk across that graduation stage, diploma in hand, ready to take on the world. And it will have all started right here with my childhood of hardcore gaokao preparation. An amazing university education is my ticket to unlocking my full potential. So that's my big dream for the future! Thanks for letting me share it with you. I better get back to hitting the books now. After all, there's no time to waste when your dream is calling! Let's goooooo!。

What is the cause of this phenomenon?求职已经成为近年来人们的一个热门话题,大学生发现找工作越来越难了。

引起这一现象的原因是什么?Two reasons, in my opinion, can account for this social phenomenon. On the one hand, nowadays college students aim too high. All they want are "good” jobs which could offer high salary, comfortable working conditions。

For another, there is a big gap between the majors some students study in school and the demands of vacant jobs. So companies think some students are not fit for the jobs.我认为两点原因可以解释这一社会现象。

江苏五年一贯制专转本英语作文练习

江苏五年一贯制专转本英语作文练习全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome Life and Dreams for the FutureHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 11 years old. I go to Bright Stars Elementary School in Nanjing. I live with my mom, dad, and little sister Huahua who is 8 years old. We have a cute dog named Teddy too! I love my family a whole bunch.School is pretty fun for me. My favorite subjects are math and science because I'm really good at them and I find them interesting. Math is kind of like a puzzle - I love solving all the problems. In science, we get to do a lot of cool experiments. Just last week, we made little volcanoes erupt by mixing vinegar and baking soda! It was awesome seeing the "lava" (which was just foam) spill out.My least favorite subject is probably Chinese. Writing all those characters is so hard! I can never remember how to write lots of them. My teacher is always reminding me to practice my writing more. I keep telling her "But I want to be a scientist when I grow up, so why do I need to know how to write complicatedcharacters?" She just chuckles and says I'll be really glad I learned Chinese well someday.During lunch and after school, I love playing basketball and soccer with my friends. We have a courtyard at school where we can run around. I'm pretty good at sports which makes me happy. My friends and I also collect Crazy Monster cards - they're these cool trading cards with different wacky monster designs. We trade them with each other and put them in binders to show off our collections. On weekends, my favorite thing to do is go to the science museum downtown with my dad. There are so many hands-on exhibits where you can see how things work. Last time we went, I got to make my own mini hovercraft using a balloon, a CD, and a bottle cap. It was epic! I also love going because they have a awesome planetarium show about planets, stars, and the universe. Outer space is just so fascinating to me.I have big dreams for when I grow up. Obviously, as I mentioned, I really want to be a scientist. My biggest goal is to become an astronaut and travel to space someday! How awesome would it be to fly a rocket ship and walk on the moon or Mars? I could use my math and science skills to help explorethe galaxy. I'm going to study super hard so I can get into a great university for astronomy or physics.Another dream of mine is to invent something totally new that could help make the world a better place. Maybe I could build a machine that cleans up the ocean and gets rid of all the plastic pollution. Or maybe I'll find a new source of clean energy so we don't have to keep burning coal and oil which is bad for the environment. I just want to use science to solve big problems facing the Earth.I know being a scientist or astronaut won't be easy though. I'll need to take lots of hard classes in math, physics, chemistry, and engineering. There's a ton I'll have to learn! But I'm going to work as hard as I can to achieve my goals. My parents are always telling me that if I stay focused and put in the effort, I can do anything I set my mind to.Sometimes I get nervous thinking about how much work it will take to become a scientist. But then I remember how much I love learning about how things work, from tiny atoms to gigantic galaxies. Everytime I go to the science museum or we do an experiment in class, it reminds me why I want to study science forever. Learning about our amazing universe just fills me with joy and curiosity.I know there will be challenges too, like having to move away from home to go to university or maybe being one of the only girls in my science classes. My mom says women can be whatever they want nowadays, including scientists and astronauts. But some people still think those are jobs just for boys which is silly. I'm determined to prove that girls can become great scientists too!Anyway, those are my hopes and dreams for the future! I'm going to keep working super hard in school, especially in math, science, and English since that's an important language for science. Who knows, maybe one day you'll see me blasting off into space or read about one of my big inventions! A life of exploring and discovering is calling me. I can't wait to use my brain to understand more about how our world and universe operates. The sky is definitely not the limit for me - I'm aiming for the stars!篇2My Super Cool Summer VacationHey guys! I'm so excited to tell you all about my awesome summer vacation this year. It was the best one ever! Let me start from the very beginning. On the last day of school, my teacher Ms. Wang gave us a big project for the summer. She said we had to keep a journal and write about all the fun things we did. At first, I wasn't too thrilled about having homework over the break. Summer is supposed to be a time for playing video games and hanging out with friends, not doing schoolwork! But Ms. Wang promised to read our journals when we got back and choose the best one to get a special prize. Well, you know I love winning prizes, so I decided to take this journal thing seriously. The first week of vacation was pretty boring. My parents both had to work, so I was stuck at home a lot with my annoying little brother. We played some basketball in the driveway, but he's not very good yet. I beat him 10-0 almost every game! I also read a few comics and built some cool spaceships out of Legos.Things started getting way more fun in the second week. My aunt, uncle, and cousins came to visit us from America! They live in this place called Boston. I'd never met them before, but they were really nice. My cousins Jerry and Emma are about my age, so we became friends quickly. They couldn't speak any Chinese at all, so I had to use all my English skills to talk to them.Jerry taught me some crazy American games I'd never played before, like "rock paper scissors" and "slug bug." Slugbug is where you punch someone in the arm whenever you see a Volkswagen Beetle driving by. Don't worry, we didn't punch too hard! My arm got a little sore after a while from all the slug bugging though. Emma and I had a great time learning random English tongue-twisters together and trying to say them three times fast without messing up. My favorite was "she sells sea shells by the sea shore."One day, we all went on a trip to the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall. I have to admit, I wasn't looking forward to going at first because it sounded kind of depressing and boring. But it turned out to be really interesting! The museum did an amazing job recreating what Nanjing was like back in 1937 during the war. We got to crawl through a tunnel just like refugees did when they were trying to escape the violence. We also saw a animatronic Japanese soldier that looked so real and creepy. It made me shiver! By the end of the tour, I had a much better understanding of that terrible event in history. Emma said she didn't learn stuff like that in her history classes back home. The next week, my cousins left to go do some travelling in other parts of China. I was really sad to see them go - we had so much fun together those few days! To cheer me up, my parents took us to spend a weekend at a water park in Suzhou. It was likea giant playground filled with awesome water slides and a gigantic wave pool. My brother and I rode this one slide called the "Black Hole" where you get swished back and forth through a giant loop before shooting out into the splashdown area. We went on it about a million times! After drying off from the water park, we headed over to Suzhou's famous gardens next door. The gardens were breathtakingly beautiful with all the ponds, bridges, and blossoming flowers. I felt like I had traveled back in time to ancient China. We even attended a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and I got to pour the tea for my parents. The tea master said I was a natural! As July came to an end, my grandparents came to stay with us for a few weeks. We were so excited because they always tell the funniest stories and jokes. One night, we had a big family dinner with my aunt's family who lives in Shanghai. It was kind of like a big reunion! After dinner, us kids put on a little variety show and did magic tricks, told jokes, and performed some traditional dances we had been practicing. My grandpa was laughing so hard during the jokes that he started choking on his tea a little bit. Grandmas always make the most pinched faces when they're worried! For the last few days before school started again, my parents let me have a few friends over for a backyard camping adventure. We set up two little pup tents in the yard and gathered sticks and wood chips to build a campfire. After roasting some marshmallows, we told spooky ghost stories in the dark. Xiaoming's story about the hairy man who lived in the abandoned house down the street was definitely the scariest! By the time we finally fell asleep, we were all pretty jumpy from the scary stories.Well, that's a quick summary of my amazing summer this year. Between spending time with family, travelling to cool places, and exploring new experiences, it was everything an epic summer should be. My journal ended up being 25 pages long by the time I finished it! I can't wait for Ms. Wang to read it and see if I'll be the one to win that special prize. Keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for reading about my super awesome vacation. I'm already counting down the days until next summer!篇3My Big Dream to Go to UniversityHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade at Nanjing No. 8 Elementary School. I love going toschool and learning new things every day. My favorite subjects are math and science because I'm really good at solving problems. I'm not so great at Chinese class though - writing those complicated characters is really hard!Anyway, I have a big dream that I've been thinking about for a few years now. My dream is to go to a great university when I'm older! I know I'm still just a kid, but I've been working really hard so that my dream can come true. Let me tell you all about it.In China, we have something called the "5-year integrated undergraduate program." It's a special program where if you do really well on a really hard test in 8th grade, you can go straight to university after middle school instead of having to go to high school first. How cool is that?!The test is called the Jiangsu 5-Year Undergraduate Program Admissions Exam and it covers all the core subjects plus English. I've been studying super hard, especially for the English part. English is pretty confusing with all the weird rules and pronunciations, but I'm getting better thanks to my amazing English tutor Ms. Zhang.I really really want to get into the program because then I can start taking university classes at a top school when I'm just 15 years old! Can you imagine? Most kids my age will still be inhigh school, but I'll already be a university student if I pass the exam. Just thinking about it gets me so motivated to keep working hard.My parents have been helping me a lot to get ready. Every night after dinner, they quiz me on vocabulary words and math formulas. On weekends, we go to the library and check out tons of books for me to read through. My dad is very strict, but I know he just wants the best for me. He keeps telling me that getting a good education is the key to having a successful career and life later on.I'm not decided yet on exactly what I want to study when I get to university. Part of me really likes science and wants to become a physicist or engineer. But another part of me is really interested in literature and writing novels. I go back and forth a lot. Maybe I'll even change my mind a million times before then! I've got plenty of time to figure it out.No matter what though, I'm going to give it my absolute best on the big exam next year. I'll wake up early, eat a healthy breakfast, and do some light exercises to calm my nerves. Then I'll put on my lucky red shirt (don't worry, I'll wash it first!) and head to the exam site feeling confident. In the exam room, I'll just focus, breathe, and show what I know. Afterwards, win orlose, I'll celebrate by going to my favorite noodle shop with my family. Slurping down those delicious noodles is the best way to reward myself! If I don't make it into the program this time, that's ok. It's a really difficult exam and only the top students get in. I'll just work even harder, take the exam again next year, and eventually my dream will come true. You can't keep a kid with big dreams down for long!Even if I don't get into the 5-year program, there are lots of other great universities and paths I can take too. My parents keep reminding me that the most important thing is becoming a good person with a kind heart, not just getting into a fancy school. As long as I try my best, stay humble, and treat others with respect, they'll be proud of me no matter what.Well, that's my big dream! A few years from now, I just might be the youngest kid on some university campus. You'll see me carrying around my books, participating in classes, and working hard towards my future career. Who knows, if I pick writing, maybe you'll even read one of my novels someday! No matter what though, I'll never stop dreaming big. The sky is the limit for this kid!篇4My Big Dream to Go to UniversityHi! My name is Xiaoming and I am 11 years old. I am in 5th grade at Nanjing No. 1 Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my big dream to go to university one day!Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved learning new things. My favorite subjects in school are math, science, and English. I think learning English is so cool because it lets me talk to people from all around the world. I have already started making some foreign penpal friends online to practice my English with them.My biggest dream is to go to a top university like Nanjing University or Peking University when I am older. I know I will have to study super hard, but I am ready! My parents always tell me that getting a good education is the key to having a bright future. They didn't get to go to university themselves, so they really want me to have that opportunity.Getting into a great university in China is very competitive though. There is something called the gaokao which is a huge test that decides what universities you can apply to. It covers ALL the subjects we learn in school - Chinese, math, English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, and more! The test isincredibly difficult and you have to get a really high score to get into one of the best schools. My parents have me doing extra study sessions every night and weekend to get prepared.Even though I am still in elementary school, I am already thinking about which majors I might want to study at university. Sometimes I think I want to be an engineer because I'm really into the science and math courses. Other times I consider maybe international business since I'm getting good at English. Or perhaps computer science since coding and technology is the future! Whatever I end up choosing, I know I want to pick a major that is challenging and useful. No matter what though, I am determined to get into a top university through the gaokao. I am going to work as hard as I possibly can over the next few years. I am giving up video games and spending less time playing outside so I can dedicate more hours to studying. My parents hired tutors for me in all the main subjects too. I take practice test after practice test, drilling all the concepts into my head. Sometimes it gets really stressful and overwhelming, but then I remind myself of my dream to go to university. That motivates me to power through.I have big goals for myself in university too. First off, I want to join lots of clubs and activities to meet new friends andexplore different interests. I've heard university clubs are so much fun! I also really want to study abroad for a semester or even a year. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to live in another country and go to classes there? My English would get amazing. I'm going to apply for every scholarship I can too so finances don't get in my way. After university, I hope to get an excellent job that lets me make a difference in the world. If I study engineering, maybe I could design new inventions that solve problems. If I do business, I could start my own company that creates lots of jobs. Or if I pick computer science, I could write code that improves people's lives through helpful apps and software. No matter what though, I want to be successful and make my parents proud of me for working so hard.Sometimes I do get a little stressed about the huge expectations for the gaokao and getting into a top university. But then I remember that this is my dream and I need to go after it with every ounce of effort I have! I am lucky that my parents value education so much. In some parts of the world, kids don't even get the chance to go to school at all. I need to take advantage of this opportunity I have been given. So that's my big dream - to ace the gaokao, get into an amazing university like Peking or Nanjing, join lots of fun activities there, maybe even study abroad for a bit, and then go out and get a job where I can make a positive impact on the world around me. It's going to take many years of extremely hard work and dedication. But I am up for the challenge! Dream big or go home, right? Just you watch - I'll be writing back to you from a university campus one day as a student living out my dream. What about you? What are your dreams for the future? I hope you are working just as hard as me to make them come true! Alright, time for me to sign off and hit the books again. But I'll talk to you again soon, ok? Happy studying!篇5My Awesome Summer Vacation!Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I just had the best summer vacation ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. My teacher Ms. Wang told us that once school was out for the summer, we should try to keep practicing our English. She said reading books andwriting in a journal are great ways to not forget everything we learned. I was really excited because my parents had already told me we were going on a super cool trip!A few days after school ended, we drove down to the airport and got on a big plane headed for the United States! I had never been on a plane before. It was crazy seeing the clouds and little buildings down below once we took off. The flight felt like it took forever, but I watched movies, played games, and snacked on yummy food to pass the time. When we finally landed in Los Angeles, the first thing I noticed was how warm and sunny it was compared to back home. We took a taxi to our hotel right on the beach in Santa Monica. The ocean air smelled salty and amazing. Our room had a balcony with an incredible view of the beach and pier. I couldn't wait to go play in the waves! The next day, we went to the Santa Monica Pier. We rode the big ferris wheel and I got to see the whole city from way up high. Then we played games and won prizes at the little amusement park. I even convinced my parents to let me go on the huge roller coaster, which was honestly pretty scary but a huge thrill! Walking along the pier felt like being in a movie. Lots of street performers dressed up in cool costumes and doing magic tricksto make people laugh. For lunch, we had Mexican food and I tried a burrito for the first time - it was so delicious!Another day, we drove out to the California desert to visit Joshua Tree National Park. The landscape looked like another planet, with huge twisted joshua trees and massive boulders of granite everywhere. We went hiking and rock climbing with a guide who showed us all the best spots. Scaling up the side of one of those giant boulders and looking out at the vast desert below felt like a real adventure. Who knew the desert could be so much fun?No trip to LA would be complete without heading to Hollywood! We walked along the Walk of Fame and I got my picture taken with some of my favorite movie characters dressed up on the street. The handprints and footprints from famous actors outside the TCL Chinese Theater were really neat to see up close. That night we went on one of those open-air bus tours all around the city. Cruising through Beverly Hills and seeing all the huge, fancy houses and celebrity hot spots was so cool.Probably my favorite day though was when we went to Universal Studios Hollywood. We started off by going on the incredible Harry Potter ride where the characters and scenery looked so life-like and real. Then we explored the magical villageof Hogsmeade and drank delicious butter beer (my new favorite drink!). After that was the terrifying Walking Dead experience that had me jumping out of my skin at all the zombies around every corner. I felt like I was really living in that apocalyptic world! We finished up the day at the amazing Wizarding World of Harry Potter, wandering through the castle and town. It seriously felt like being transported into the movies. I didn't want to leave!Towards the end of our trip, we visited the La Brea Tar Pits right in the middle of the city. Seeing all the fossils trapped in the sticky tar from thousands of years ago was equal parts fascinating and gross. So many different extinct animal species like mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and ancient bison! The museum taught me so much about the prehistoric world that once existed in LA.On our very last day in California, we spent the entire day relaxing and playing on the beach. I went boogie boarding for the first time and had a blast riding the waves. I also buried my dad in the sand up to his neck! My mom was not too happy that we got sand everywhere, but it was all part of the fun. As the sun set over the ocean, we ate one final beachside dinner of fish tacos and watched the sky turn brilliant shades of pink and orange. What an incredible end to our adventure!Whew, I'm exhausted just remembering everything we did! That wasn't even all of the awesome stuff...I could go on and on. I had such an amazing time in California with my family. Not only did I get to experience a totally new part of the world, but I also practiced my English constantly with all the tours and new people we met. Hearing and speaking it every day for two weeks really helped me get more comfortable with the language.I'm feeling refreshed and ready to start the new school year strong. Fifth grade, here I come! I'll definitely be journaling about this trip to keep working on my English writing skills. Thanks for reading all about my exciting summer vacation. Maybe one day you'll get to visit California too!。

江苏五年一贯制专转本英语作文练习

江苏五年一贯制专转本英语作文练习My Journey to the Integrated Bachelor's ProgramHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 6th grade student in Jiangsu province. I've been working really hard the past few years because I want to get into the integrated bachelor's degree program. It's a really cool opportunity where I can go straight from elementary school to getting a bachelor's degree without having to take the stressful high school and university entrance exams. I have to take a big English exam as part of the application process though, so I've been practicing my English writing a lot. Let me tell you about my journey so far!It all started back in 3rd grade when my parents first told me about the 5-year program. At first, I didn't really understand what it meant. A bachelor's degree? Isn't that what you get after going to university for 4 years? How could I get that by just going to school for 5 more years after 6th grade? My parents explained that it was a special combined middle school, high school, and university program. If I worked really hard and tested well, I could go straight into university-level courses right after finishing 6th grade. No need for those stressful exams!I got really excited about the idea of being able to become a university student at such a young age. Just imagine, by the time I'm 20 years old, I could already have a bachelor's degree! My parents said it would open up lots of great opportunities for my future too. The program accepts students based on their overall performance, not just one exam score. So I've had to work extremely hard in all my subjects – math, Chinese, science, you name it. But English has definitely been one of the most challenging parts.Learning English is mandatory in China starting in 3rd grade, but it's not easy. There are so many strange pronunciations and weird grammar rules that are completely different from Chinese. Just memorizing vocabulary words is really tough when there's no connection to familiar characters. And don't even get me started on trying to write an essay in English! How do native speakers keep all the tenses, articles, and prepositions straight? It's mind-boggling.My English teachers have had me doing all sorts of practice over the years to get ready. We've done tons of reading comprehension passages and essays to analyze writing structures. There's been endless drilling of vocabulary words through flashcards and games. We've worked on listeningexercises and spoken dialogues to improve pronunciation. Sometimes it feels like my brain is overflowing trying to cram in all the English skills! What's been most helpful though is when we get opportunities to actually use English in a real situation, not just for practice tests. Last year, my school hosted some students from the United States for a cultural exchange week. We got to meet them, learn about their schools and home life, and even played games and sports together. At first I was terrified to try speaking in my broken English. But those students were so nice and patient. As the week went on, I got more and more confident engaging in basic conversations. It made everything click into place – that English isn't just an academic subject, but an actual tool for communicating with people globally. My parents have also found me an English tutor to work with privately once a week. Her name is Jessica and she's really nice. She's from Canada and speaks perfect English obviously. During our sessions, she has me practice writing all different types of essays and stories. Then she goes through and edits my work - correcting grammar mistakes, pointing out poor word choices, and giving suggestions to elevate my writing. It's amazing how just a few little tweaks can make a paragraph read so muchbetter and more natural. Jessica says my writing has really progressed, but I still have a long way to go before reaching native-level fluency. With the big integrated program exam coming up next month, I've been cramming extra hard on my English skills. My days are filled with English audiobooks in the car, English movies and TV shows for immersion, and extra essay writing practice every night. Sometimes I get so frustrated when I just can't find the right words to express what I'm thinking. Or when I stumble over stupid little things that native speakers just know automatically. During those moments, I wonder if this whole endeavor is worth the effort. But then I remember how amazing it would be to become a university student by age 15. I'll be lightyears ahead of my peers!I can spend those extra years not wasted in boring test prep, but actually diving deeper into subjects I'm passionate about. Not to mention getting a headstart on my career. With a bachelor's degree, I can pursue any field I want - maybe engineering to build cool stuff like rockets or robots? Or business to become an entrepreneur and start my own company? Or why not go into scientific research to make discoveries that could help people? The possibilities are endless. That's what keeps me motivated. Sure, English is really difficult and draining. But it's a key that can unlock so many doors. If I can master it now, it will create incredible opportunities for me in the future. No pain, no gain as they say! I know if I stick with it and keep working harder than ever, I'll be able to pass this exam with flying colors. Then it's off to the integrated bachelor's program and making my dreams come true. Just watch, one day I'll be able to write an amazing essay in perfect English. This is just the first step!。
