First and foremost, I would like to say that I am enthusiastic about the movie.I have watched many classical films so far, and Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies. The actor playing the Gump who impressed me is Tom Hanks, not merely because his outstanding acting, but also his sincerely interpretation for the role, It touched me very much. Therefore I try to know more about the information of Tom hanks; he is really a great actor. He had won the Academy award of best actor for twice, one of them was by the role of Forrest Gump, and another one was Philadelphia. And then I was curiosity about the Philadelphia, and experience the classic of it. In this term, I realize the Philadelphia is one unit of the course, so I need to understand it very deeply. Now I finish it, but the result is surprise for me.I can’t describe this movie in words, but it is no doubt that the movie is a classic. I admit that I’m not interested in th is film when I watched it in the beginning, but after I finished I realize it is rare. Next I will talk about my reflection about the Philadelphia. Before I watched this movie, I have a fear of AIDS. I can’t image that this sort of thing would happen to me, even if my friend unfortunately suffered from this disease, I would be panic. Like most of us, there are full of fear and rejection to the homosexuality and AIDS in Joe (the role of Philadelphia)’s mind in the beginning. But what is so unbelievable is that he accepted helping Andrew to go to court which is about his dignity. However, what is the exact reason to let him make such a significant decision?By his wife’s guidance and persuasion to the homosex ual, he had changed his mind and had some different understanding to this special group. When he knew the condition of Andrew, he felt deeply pity and compunctious. And then He made the decision to help Andrew win back his dignity, though the process would be very hard. During this period, black Joe suffered many setbacks, for instance, his friends laughed his “stupid decision”, and he was mistakenly assumed to be a gay, etc. These series of difficulty for Joe and Andrew is not only the pressure, but also a huge challenge. Joe began to understand the gay community deeply and collected the laws and regulations about AIDS and homosexual groups. In court, he tried his best to help Andrew regaining his rights in convincing speak.Additionally, when it comes to the fragments of court, I think it is one of the remarkable parts in this movie. Regardless of the final result, the debate words between the defendants and plaintiff are all brilliant. Otherwise, we can know the law in America is extremely sound from the film, especially behave in jury. According to my survey, the role of the jury is described as that of a finder of fact, while the judge is seen as having the sole responsibility of interpreting the appropriate law and instructing the jury accordingly. The jury determines the truth or falsity factual allegations and renders a verdict on whether a criminal defendant is guilty, or a civil defendant is civilly liable. The most important is that jury did not know the defendants and plaintiff before opening a court session. Consequently, their decision should be indifferent and objective. Thejury was a symbol of the attitude of American society that whether or not homosexual and AIDS can be accepted, because the jury symbolizes the entire American. On the basis of this movie, it just stresses the importance of human rights in this theme. In USA, No matter what your nationality are, whether or not you disabled or what your sexual orientation are, you are entitled to equal rights with ordinary people! Each people is born equal. Even if someone has AIDS, he or she still has the right to protect his legitimate rights and interests. Anyone who is in the society, no matter how power he or she is, he or she still has no right to dismiss the one suffering from AIDS. That is the law. There is also another sensitive topic in the film. That is homosexuality. People cannot forgive Andrew not only because he is suffering from AIDS, but also he is a homosexuality. People cannot accept the question that about sexual orientation. Although someone thinks that people have the right to choose their own partner. That is a private question. In fact, we are social beings and we are inevitably constrained by society and controlled by the society. That is the truth. It is a powerful social force that is invisible. What is more, it is difficult to challenge the morality. It always accepts people to accept the existing rules and accustomed to the behavior of ideology. Anyone who wants to challenge it will pay the price. Maybe the open and civilized society is still not to ready to accept the issue. The gays and the AIDS are living in the dark. In addition, people watch them with colored glasses. The words that saidto them are full of despised and hated. We can not put our will to the others, because anyone has the right to think free. After all, it is a sexual orientation challenges that has thousands of years. Even for today, this is a serious and complex issue. But if want to live harmonious, we must live in love. Eventually, Life is very important for everyone. As a member of society, we should take responsibility for not only ourselves but also others. We should not do harm to others whenever and wherever. If everyone cares for others, our world will be full of love and become more beautiful. In our daily life, we have lots of chance to care for others, such as: help your classmates with their study, help the old people to cross the road, help you parents do some housework, donate money to the poor etc. You will feel happy if you try your best to care for others. And others will care you more instead.。
<Philadelphia>——homosexual discrimination When it comes to homosexuals, people always feel sick and disgusted .To be honest, before I watched the film <Philadelphia>, I had been exactly one of them who can not stand homosexuals, considering them as shame and evil, let alone understanding their love. It is the film Philadelphia that converts my view on another kind of love between two persons.Philadelphia tells a story that an excellent lawyer called Andrew is dismissed by his boss, because they find he is infected with AIDS, and think it is a great shame for their company that he is a homosexual. Sad and disappointed, Andrew makes great efforts to seek for another lawyer to plead for him, fails and fails again, finally Joe, as eloquent as him, agrees to help him. I feel that there are three extraordinary parts in this film. One is the debate in the court, another is the homosexual ball, and the rest is the final occasion. In the court, Andrew faces with a group of people talking about his private affairs, tearing his old scar, and some ignorant people force him to nowhere by their lies and their law. In this case, Andrew says ‘I love the law. I know the law. I excel at the practicing’ and ‘Relief, that I never told him that I was a gay, just very relief’, not loudly but firmly. I can see the sadness and despair in his eyes, how desperate on earth he is! I just can not stop crying. If I were him, what did I do? Maybe forget the job, the case and find a hole to hide in. I deeply respect him as a strongman. At the same time, he is vulnerable, the grief in his eyes makes people want to protect him, comfort him. And the deep grief is shown before our eyes when Andrew listen to the opera called <La mamma morta>, the music flows into his heart as well as my heart. I can feel that my heart is trembling, and I can not merely sit on my seat, it is a shout of soul. A broken heart, a broken soul. His performance so shocked me that I know there is something changed, I start to abandon my old prejudice and rethink the love between the homosexuals. The nature of the homosexual love is love to o ——the most wonderful, pleasant, strangest and greatest emotion. Everyone has the right to love in whatever form. We can not scold one just because he or she loves one person who has the same sex as them. If you disagree, then how about the love? Love is absolutely fair and equal. The love between two same sex persons is the same as that between two different sex persons, which means caring for and sacrificing for each other. The love is identical, having nothing with race, country, age, wealth, and also sex. So there is nothing they do wrong, it is just love which is not wrong or right. At the end of the film, Andrew finally wins the case, but to my sadness, he is heavily ill and going to die. Ling in the bed, his family and friends come to him, smile and say ’see you tomorrow’. Everyone knows that there is no tomorrow for Andrew, so does he. But he is calm, and there is no regret for him because the most terrible thing in his life was coped with. At the end of the end, he says ‘I am ready.’ The simplest and the last word. I want to tell those people who discriminate homosexuals that our mothers give birth to us, we have the same beginning, maybe after that we walk on different roads, but we should not and have no right to make jokes of others or even discriminate them, no mater what it is, just because they are different from you, because when you do this, there may be someone do the same things to you, how do you think about that? So if you can not understand others’ choices, behaviors, opinions, things like that, please try to respect them and their rights. Otherwise at the end of life, you will understand how stupid you are, and thoroughly know nothing is important, we have the same destin y——die!。

PhiladelphiaThe movie Philadelphia reflects some social problems by combining AIDS and homosexuality together, which draws people’s attention on homosexual and makes people introspect in what ways they should treat homosexuals. Instead of calling upo n people’s sympathy to homosexuals, I think the purpose of the film is to criticize people for their injustice and discrimination to homosexuals. At the beginning of the film, Andy conceals his illness and sex orientation, working as an ordinary person in the law company. Because of his excellent work, he receives appreciation of his bosses. Maybe in this period, Andy is looking forward to his wonderful future. What he doesn’t expect is that he gets fired ruthlessly after his secret is disclosed. The most frustrating part is that when he tries to protect his rights, all he receives is discrimination, and even lawyers, whose task is to safeguard the rights and interests of people, shows indifference to him. When he gets into library to look up some books related to HIV-discrimination, he is asked to go to a private research room by the librarian for the sake of avoiding spreading the virus to other people. At this moment, Andy’s eyes fills with tears; he must be heartbroken. At that time in America, AIDS is viewed as much more than a transmissible and lethal disease and homosexuality is considered as an unreasonable and disgusting thing.Nowadays, homosexuality is not unfamiliar to us, but sometimes people still can't accept this fact. Ordinary people won't interest in the same gender and they won't try to build a relationship beyond friendship with the same sex. Above all, homosexuality has nothing wrong with itself. Different people have different lifestyles including homosexuals. They do have families, friends and contribute to our society. We should respect them rather than discriminating them.。
150After watching the movie "Philadelphia", I was deeply moved and couldn't help but reflect on the powerful message it delivered. Set in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, the film tells the story of Andrew Beckett, a talented lawyer who is diagnosed with AIDS and subsequently fired from his law firm due to discrimination. Directed by Jonathan Demme, this emotional drama sheds light on discrimination, stigmatization, and the struggle for justice and acceptance. The movie portrays Andrew Beckett, played convincingly by Tom Hanks, as a brilliant and ambitious lawyer who is dedicated to his work. However, after his diagnosis, things take a dramatic turn as he faces discrimination in the workplace. The film raises important questions about societal attitudes towards individuals with AIDS and the prejudices they face. The theme of discrimination is skillfully tackled throughout the movie. Andrew's dismissal from the law firm, under the pretext of incompetence, is a clear example of the stigma associated with AIDS during that era. The fear and ignorance surrounding the disease led to a complete disregard for a person's abilities and worth solely based on their health condition. This blatant discrimination is both disturbing and enlightening, exposing the harsh reality faced by many in similar situations. Moreover, the film also explores Andrew's personal journey as he battles the physical and emotional toll of AIDS. His determination to fight for justice while facing his deteriorating health is truly inspiring. The character's resilience and unwavering spirit serve as a reminder of the strength and courage exhibited by individuals confronting adversity. The relationship between Andrew and his attorney, Joe Miller, played by Denzel Washington, is the heart of the film. Initially reluctant to take on Andrew's case due to his own prejudices, Joe gradually becomes more empathetic as he witnesses the injustice and prejudice faced by his client. Their evolving friendship highlights the transformative power of understanding and compassion in overcoming societal barriers.Philadelphia's cinematography also plays a significant role in conveying the emotional depth of the story. The city itself serves as a backdrop, capturing the essence of the characters' struggle against the backdrop of a bustling metropolis. The somber lighting and muted color palette reflect the seriousness and intensity of the movie's themes, further emphasizing the emotional impact of the narrative. The film's soundtrack is another noteworthy aspect, with iconic songs like Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia" perfectly complementing the story's poignant moments. The lyrics resonate with the overarching themes of isolation, longing, and the search for redemption. The music adds an additional layer of emotional depth, creating a truly immersive experience for the audience. In conclusion, "Philadelphia" is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged film that confronts issues of discrimination and prejudice head-on. Through its powerful storytelling and compelling performances, it sheds light on the struggles faced by individuals with AIDS and the importance of acceptance and understanding. The movie serves as a poignant reminder of the progress made in the fight against discrimination, while also highlightingthe ongoing battle for equality. It is a film that leaves a lasting impact and encourages viewers to challenge their own prejudices.。
As an avid fan of storytelling, I recently had the opportunity to watch the film "Philadelphia Story." Directed by George Cukor and released in 1940, this classic romantic comedy took place in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After thoroughly enjoying this film, I would like to share my thoughts and impressions."Philadelphia Story" is based on a play written by Philip Barry. It is a story that unfolds against the backdrop of wealth, romance, and social expectations. The film stars Katherine Hepburn as Tracy Lord, a wealthy socialite who is about to be married. However, her plans are disrupted when her ex-husband, C.K. Dexter Haven, played by Cary Grant, arrives with two reporters, played by James Stewart and Ruth Hussey, seeking to cover her wedding. One aspect that captivated me throughout the film was the impeccable acting by the cast. Katherine Hepburn delivered a stellar performance as Tracy Lord, showcasing her versatility and charm. Her portrayal of a strong-willed yet vulnerable woman was compelling and added depth to the character. Cary Grant, known for his suave demeanor, delivered a delightful performance as Tracy's ex-husband. His chemistry with Hepburn was palpable, making their scenes together a joy to watch.Additionally, James Stewart's portrayal of the quirky and sensitive journalist, Macaulay Connor, added an extra layer of humor and emotion to the storyline. His interactions with Tracy and her family provided comedic relief and showcased his ability to bring charm and wit to the character. RuthHussey, as Liz Imbrie, conveyed a sense of sophistication and intelligence that complemented the rest of the cast.Another aspect that stood out to me was the exquisite cinematography and set design. The film beautifully captured the elegance and opulence of the upper class during that era. From Tracy's magnificent mansion to the elaborate party scenes, each frame was meticulously crafted. The attention to detail in recreating the 1930s setting was evident, transporting the audience to a bygone era.The dialogue in "Philadelphia Story" was sharp, witty, and full of banter. The script was expertly written, allowing each character to shine in their own way. The comedic timing between the actors was impeccable, creating countless laugh-out-loud moments. Additionally, the film explored deeper themes of love, relationships, and societal norms, making it more than just a lighthearted romantic comedy. One of the most memorable scenes in the film was when Tracy's father, Seth Lord, played by John Halliday, confronts his daughter about her resistance to love. The heartfelt conversation between father and daughter revealed the complexities of their relationship and provided an emotional depth to the storyline. It was a poignant moment that reminded the audience of the importance of embracing love and taking risks.Overall, "Philadelphia Story" is a timeless film that continues to entertain audiences to this day. Its rich characters, engaging storyline, and impeccable performances make it a classic in the realm of romantic comedies. The film's exploration of societal expectations, love, and personal growth resonates even in today's world. Whether you are a fan of oldHollywood films or simply enjoy a good love story, "Philadelphia Story" is a must-watch.In conclusion, "Philadelphia Story" is a cinematic masterpiece that showcases the talent of its cast, the elegance of its setting, and the power of a well-crafted story. Its enduring popularity serves as a testament to its universal appeal. If you have not yet experienced the charm of this film, I highly recommend adding it to your watch list.。

This week I saw a film named Philadelphia. The film reflects public attitude towards a social problem---AIDS. The main character Andrew Beckett has left me a deep impression and I really want to say something about him.Andrew is an excellent lawyer who works very hard and a bright future. He is a gay, but he doesn’t tell his boss about this. After the secret that he has AIDS is found by his boss, he is fired in the name of losing an important document. Andrew calls on many lawyers, hoping that they can accept and hear the case. Finally, Joe Miller agrees to be his lawyer. They two fight together and overcome many difficulties. Andrew finally wins the lawsuit and dies peacefully. When he is dying, he says, “I’m ready.”In my opinion, Andrew is a man with great courage. In the first place, when he suffers unfair treatment, he dares to fight against no matter how difficult it is. The real reason why he is fired is that his boss can’t accept him as a gay as well as an AIDS patient. However, he doesn’t think he has done anything wrong and he has the right to choose whom to love, regardlessof gender. In the second place, he doesn’t show his pain even when he is badly ill. He struggles to appear in court and go on with the fierce court debate. People don’t know how much he suffers until Miller lets him take off his clothes. The scars on his body show how cruel AIDS torments him. Painful though he is, he still pretends to be well and fights for his rights, which really needs great courage.Andrew, as a gay, may be discriminated by some people; however, as a fighter, he should be respected by all of us.。

The story of PhiladelphiaPhiladelphia was a city filled with love, and the story about homosexuality and AIDS happened in this city. The name of the leading actor is Andrew, who is acted by Tom Hanks, and he has ever acted Forrest Gump. Andy was an excellent lawyer in a high-grade law firm. And he was prompted and authorized an important case. He paid his effort to prepare the case for nine days. After his effort, he finished the compliant of the case in the tenth day, but the compliant strangely disappeared and it appeared until the last moment. Although he won the case but he was fired due to his incompetence, but in fact, one of the partners found some lesions on his forehead which was the sigh of AIDS. The partners were afraid to be infected, so they found an excuse to frame Andrew and fire him.Andrew knew the reason why he was fired, he wanted to be treated fair and not be discriminated because of his AIDS.So he tried his best to find lawyer to defend him, but no one wanted to help him. Joe was the tenth lawyer he found. When Andrew mentioned his AIDS, at the beginning, Joe was also afraid to be infected, and he also hated Andrew’s sexual orientation. Andrew is a gay, and he has his boyfriend, migul. He refused to help Andrew. But one day, in a library, Joe noticed Andrew trying to find proof to defend for himself. Joe was moved by Andrew, and he determined to help Andrew. The two excellent counselorsworked together to search the law documentary to find proof. They met many difficulties. On the one hand, Andrew suffered physical pain, to make matter worse; Andrew’s private life is exploited before the public, such his homosexual, his AID. But he didn’t afraid anything, he just wants to eliminate the discrimination with AIDS and homosexuality. In the process, Joe gradually understood the homosexuality, and eliminated his prejudice an d wanted to fight for the homosexual’s rights. After conquered many difficulties, they won the case and got a large sum of settlement. But when Joe went to the hospital to tell Andrew the good news, Andrew was going to die. Andrew used his weak voice appreciate his thanks to Joe. At that moment, they understand each other, both of them are the fighters for justice.Fortunately, Andrew’s boyfriend, migul, accompanied Andrew all the time until the last moment. It showed the grateful love of homosexuality, whatever the problem they met, they never get off another’s hands.Andrew’s words impressed me, he said, “It’s every now and again not often but occasional, you get to be a part of justice being done, that’s really quite thrill when that happens.” it make me feel the power of justice. The most impressed part of the film is that, Andrew’s family support Andrew fight for his rights. It reminds me to think about the two questions, the homosexuality and AIDS. I have never discriminated the AIDS patient, but I show a little uncomfortable of homosexuality. And now I know more about the problem, and I change my opinion. The gay should be allowed, should be treated fair and should be blessed. Because no matter when, there is nothing wrong with love, and loving somebody who has the same sex with you isn’tan error. So we should give more tolerance to them, and make them feel more comfortable to love and to be loved. The film ends up with a song, and the song tells us Philadelphia is a country filled with love, and it is the place where the Declaration of Independence is published。

As the groundbreaking achievement in Hollywood's first look at AIDS discrimination, the movie is mainly about two sensitive topics: homosexuality and AIDS.To analyze the contradictions in the story from the theory of Structuralism, there are two sets of conflicts: the endless case with Andrew’s former employer, and Andrew’s good fight against sickness. The gay character, Andrew, a social outcast that facing to the death, is still fighting against the serious illness and the discrimination from the society all the way; The black lawyer, Miller, someone doesn't like homosexuals, agrees to take the case forsympathy . In the name of justice and humanity , in the spirit of compassion, Andrew and Miller tried to fight for legal right in a common action. They gradually become friends and come to understandone another during the quarrel. From Miller’s eyes, we can feel And rew’s love to life and live. There is a impressiveness scene in the movie: Listening to the inspiring music, Andrew put on a drip, described to Miller his hunger for affection, and his desire for life.Life is not what you see in the films, it’s much harder. “Philadelphia” was made in 1993, In that time, people’s attitudeto AIDS and homosexual are stern, rigid and unreasonable. Most people still feel a hearty dislike about homosexuality , much more a gay。

Film Review on Philadelphia
Film Review on PhiladelphiaPhiladelphia, directed by Jonathan Demme, featured Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington ,tells a story about a AIDS patients who was fired because suffering from AIDS fight for his rights with legal. The whole story is simple, it seems like a simple civil dispute, but it catch particular attention because of two sensitive topics: homosexuality and AIDS.This film is mainly about AIDS, homosexuality and justice .More than a decade after AIDS was first identified as a disease, "Philadelphia" marks the first time that Hollywood has risked a big-budget film on the subject. The film profoundly shows people’s fear and discrimination for AIDS.At the moment,same-sex love is still considered abnormal and freaks. This kind of discrimination is normal and should be in most people's eyes. But virtually gave party injustice and shame. Homosexuality is equivalent to obscene. But in the film,we can see the true love between Andrew and his partner ,who loved him, support him and accompany him until the end of his life. How can we discriminate against a true love like this? The justice is another theme of this film. In the firm, Andrew was fired because of discrimination. But he fight for his right, and finally win the lawsuit. Just as in the film judge said in the court: "In this court room, justice is blank to race, creed, color and sexual orientation."The musicThe music in this film is very impressive, especially Streets of Philadelphia,La Mamma Morta and Philadelphia. The film is started in the sorrowful melody of Streets of Philadelphia, performed by Bruce Spingsteen .The lyric"the night has fallen, I'm lying awake ,I can feel myself fading away ,so receive me brother with your faithless kiss or will we leave each other alone like this on the streets of philadelphia"implied the unfortunate fate of the protagonist.Another climax of this film appeared in Andrew Beckett’s apartment. Aware of the end of life, Andrew danced in the famous opera ,La Mamma Morta, peformed by the Maria Callas. On the surface, the protagonist is describing the content and the background knowledge of La Mamma Morta, actually,he is showing his eager to life's call. This dance scene, conbined with the elegant opera, is really moving and touching. It is so wonderful processing and perfect acting skills, it make the film beyond discussed AIDS and social prejudice's special proposition and enter human tragedy aesthetic realm. In the end of the film, there is a video about Andrew’s childhood.Everything was so happy and fine,no AIDS ,no discrimination of gays. Just as the singing:I won’t be ashamed of love. The song Philadelphia reveales the fina pupose of this film.In conclusion,I think the law revealed by Philadelphia are linked with free and human kindness. This is not the appurtenance under cold authority and meaningless provision, but so saturated with human nature glory and warmth verdicts. Because it shows not only human established rules, but also the order of the nature. People born to be free. We should respect life, respect human rights, protect every birthright and give each a nondiscriminatory eye. Those are exactly what we can learn from Philadelphia.
For most of the people, movie is basically a way of entertainment, and it won't have an impact on the whole society. However, Jonathan Demme's Philadelphia is one of those exceptions. In the movie, Andrew Beckett is a successful young lawyer who has a bright future, until he discovered he has aids. Soon he was fired by his boss for some unexplainable reasons. This essay is written by Miguel (a.k.a. xy1154). In order to defend himself, Andrew contacted his acquaintance Miller and decided to sue his former boss. After a series of debates, the judge finally ruled in favor of Andrew. The film arouses people's consciousness of AIDS, which is still threatening us nowadays. In my opinion, in order to win this undeclared war against AIDS, both the citizens and the government should react positively. For the citizens, we should learn and spread the knowledge of preventing it. For the government, it's necessary to emphasize the idea of treating those who are infected with love and care. In addition, they need to implement effective programs to stop the spread of AIDS. This essay is written by Miguel (a.k.a. xy1154). Only by combining our efforts, can we make more significant progress in this battle.。

1A few days ago to see a movie for a long time to see the "Philadelphia story", previously heard of it is about homosexuality, but I was not subject to such interest, but the real reason is that it won the Oscar prize and starring Tom. Hanks, I happen to be love watch a movie, so take time to look at the school auditorium, because this movie is specially shown to commemorate World AIDS Day, not many people interested in so many vacancies, pick up a chair to sit down, but this one is 90 minutes......The heroine Drew is one of the most outstanding lawyer in Philadelphia, he graduated from a famous university, quick thinking, proficient in law, originally Everything is going smoothly. in business, but also because he is a homosexual, and other "comrade", from time to time to appear in a variety of exclusive in gay venues, where to find only their own happy. But unfortunately, he suffered from AIDS, we all know that this is a deadly virus, the mortality rate is very high, but in the protagonist's life, because one of their own "bad behaviour" and the incidence of this disease has another meaning: you will be abandoned by the society. So when his boss from the scar on his face until he was suffering from AIDS, he will be expelled from the company using the trick, the night Andrew know the real reason why he was dismissed, can foresee the time of despair, but he does not admit defeat, then visited the 9 law firms havenot been able to find help he called this unlawful dismissal lawyer after he stepped into the Joe (US No. two male) of the firm. Like most other people, however, Joe was disgusted with AIDS (especially because it was caused by homosexuality). He despised homosexuals, think they are social heterogeneous, is not love bugs, refused to fight the lawsuit for the. So Andrew was desperate to leave, but when the camera long time to go to the post in the street like looking around the eyes, I realized that I was wrong, in his eyes is not despair, but "tough", is the hope. This is a film hanging the appetite of the audience, the audience is eager to know how the protagonist will deal with this impasse, not surprisingly, Andrew is indeed a refused to give up easily, he sat alone in the library access to legal provisions relating to the protection of gay rights, perhaps in his heart has always been a the same beliefs: I like other people, not any different. In addition, I think it is set to become Philadelphia - the signing of the "Declaration of independence", should be intentional, and the protagonist is a member of a lawyer, American judicial circles, there is more to the American judicial definition what mean.In fact, the focus of the case is not the manager's dismissal of employees is illegal, but because his boss is because of discrimination against AIDS patients will be dismissed. What really moved me was not that the rights and interests of AIDS patients were finally protected, but that the hero could finally say "I 'm ready"". He knew that he might not live to die at the end of the trial, but he still disdained his efforts to fight for his dignity, a belief and insistence that moved me to the very depths. The film is not too much ink on the protagonist's personal feelings, not too much about how to win this lawsuit for compensation,on the contrary, the plot is just a passing, the focus is to highlight the reason for Andrew to sit down.So where does Andrew's faith come from? The answer is simple: love. Not only from his "companion", but also from his family, his parents, brothers and sisters......Without their support and encouragement, Andrew would not have the courage to go to court to pursue his own rights and interests. Love is the theme of the film, but also the director want to integrate him into the social problems of the reasons, AIDS is not terrible, terrible is sick after being abandoned, lost love feeling. When the world ignores you, when you lose your job and when you are misunderstood, the feelings of your family and spouse will support you towards the end. At the end of the film, "Philadelphia" and the background of childhood play when Andrew, the mood is far away, meaning profound......Then believe in the power of love, for it gives you courage to live.Have love, will eventually become the thoroughfare; loss of love, you will can't do anything......费城故事英文观后感2There are many new movies every year, and there aren't many movies that really appeal to people. After years of precipitation down the old film, always so intriguing. Such as tea, after the entrance of fragrance curl. The Philadelphia story begins with a gay man with AIDS fighting for his rights.Discriminated whites, AIDS patients and respected black lawyers. There is a strong contrast between the role settings. At the beginning of the film, Andrew and Miller appeared for the same case. Two young people were perhaps not soon after inhigh and vigorous spirits, affinity.Andrew, formerly owned by the company, was laid off because of homosexuality. In order to fight for his rights, he stood up, not afraid of strange eyes, just to recover their rights. He's looking for lawyers everywhere. The level of medical science and technology developed now, in the face of AIDS patients, people still fear, fear spread ordinary contacts caused the virus, not to mention at the time, people in fear of AIDS patients is now opposite is necessarily better than ever before. Miller is he seeking ninth lawyers, of course, that the Miller did not immediately decided to help him, although Miller is a highly anticipated respected lawyer, but also the same as ordinary people fear of contagion, plus Miller discrimination against homosexuals. Andrew was refused again and again, eyes despair, helpless, but through a strong and persistent, moving people, impressed. After seeing Andrew encounter discrimination in the library, after his wife explained that there was no lack of homosexuals, Miller decided to step forward and help Andrew. There is always such a figure in American movies and TV dramas, but it is still stubborn and persistent. Like the scene of the opera in the movie. Andrew describes the opera by Maria Karas: "it begins with sorrow, and then with hope.". Reminds me of a sentence, the key to life is not to take a good card, but to play a bad card.In the song of Maria and Callas, the film reached a brief climax. Andrew know your life soon, perhaps cannot see themselves in this case victory in the face of Miller do not understand the rest of life, the world of homosexuality, discrimination against homosexuals, but he hopes to rediscoverthis gay social groups of others. While talking to Miller about the case, he shifted the subject, and Andrew said, "did you listen to the opera?" This is Maria Karas's.. Then holding the bottle bracket, immersed in music. Light and shadow, bright and dark, as if the lights of fate, obviously secretly. Andrew said, "I am life, and I am sacred. To this world, I am forgotten, and I am love."! In Maria Karas's song, Andrew was boiling with blood. The music stops, Andrew eyes are filled with tears.Indeed, people should live with faith, should be persistent. Everyone has the right to love and be loved, then the love of the same sex or the opposite sex should not be prescribed. Don't be afraid to insist on what you love, not to shrink, to pursue your rights. The film wins in Miller, and Andrew dies at ease. At the end of the film, everyone hugged Andrew and said goodnight,. Miller initially contacted Andrew and later embraced Andrew. All this development seems to reflect the attitude of the movie to AIDS and homosexuality.Like the face of AIDS patients such as Andrew, there is sympathy, contempt. The different positions of sympathy and disdain. Andrew died, homosexuality, AIDS still exists, discrimination and sympathy still exist. Andrew characters reflect a life attitude.。
Philadelphia Story ReviewI recently had the pleasure of watching the classic film "The Philadelphia Story," directed by George Cukor and released in 1940. As an avid film enthusiast, I was drawn to this timeless romantic comedy due to its reputation as a humorous and sophisticated piece of cinema. Having now viewed it, I can confidently say that "The Philadelphia Story" lives up to its reputation and more. The film revolves around the privileged and glamorous Tracy Lord, played brilliantly by Katharine Hepburn. Tracy is a wealthy socialite who lives in a beautiful estate in Philadelphia. As her wedding day to the well-established George Kittredge approaches, her life takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of two intriguing men: her ex-husband C.K. Dexter Haven, portrayed by Cary Grant, and a charming tabloid reporter Mike Connor, portrayed flawlessly by James Stewart. The dynamic between the three central characters is skillfully crafted by the screenplay, which was adapted from a play by Philip Barry. Hepburn's portrayal of Tracy showcases her remarkable talent for portraying strong-willed and independent women. Tracy's intelligence and wit are evident throughout the film, making her an instantly likable and relatable character. Cary Grant brings a charming and debonair presence to the role of Dexter, subtly revealing the complexities of his character's emotions. And James Stewart's performance as Mike Connor adds a touch of vulnerability and sincerity to the story, balancing out the high society world Tracy inhabits.Aside from the incredible performances, "The Philadelphia Story" also excels in its sharp dialogue and humorous situations. The script is filled with delightful banter and sharp one-liners that keep the audience engaged and entertained. One memorable scene involves Tracy, Dexter, and Mike engaging in a hilarious and drunken game of "Who Is On First" with Tracy's younger sister Dinah, played by Virginia Weidler. The comedic timing and chemistry between the actors in this scene is absolutely impeccable, leaving the audience in stitches. The film also showcases the opulence and extravagance of high society in the 1940s. The lavish sets and glamorous costumes add to the overall visual appeal of the film, transporting the audience to a world filled with elegance and grandeur. However, beneath the surface of this glamorous facade, "The Philadelphia Story" uncovers the complexities of human relationships and the struggles of personal growth. Through Tracy's journey, the film explores themes of love, forgiveness, and acceptance. One of the standout moments in the film is when Tracy confronts her own vulnerabilities and learns to embrace her flaws. Hepburn's performance in this scene is a testament to her acting prowess, as she beautifully conveys the emotional turmoil experienced by her character. It is in these moments of vulnerability that "The Philadelphia Story" transcends being a mere romantic comedy and becomes a poignant exploration of human nature. In conclusion, "The Philadelphia Story" is a true gem of classic cinema. Its refined humor, exceptional performances, and insightful storytelling make it a timeless masterpiece. From the stylish costumes to the clever dialogue, every aspect of the film is meticulously crafted and executed. It is no wonder that "The Philadelphia Story" continues to be celebrated and appreciated by audiences around the world. If you are a fan of romantic comedies or simply appreciate exceptional filmmaking, I highly recommend watching this iconic film.。

JOE: Are you a good lawyer?ANDREW: I'm an excellent lawyer.JOE: What makes you an excellent lawyer?ANDREW: I love the law. I know the law. I excel at practicing it. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to do.JOE: What do you love about it?ANDREW: Well... many things. But I think the thing I love the most, is that every once in a while, not that often, but occasionally... you get to be part of justice being done. It's really quite a thrill when that happens.

The review of PhiladelphiaJane 11108200210 In modern society, the people with AIDS or HIV have been everywhere in the world. Many of their rights have been disfranchised. People are afraid of them. According to professional theories, people may be infected AIDS by three methods: blood-borne transmission, sexually transmission, and maternal-neonatal transmission. If we associate with them in normal way, it’s impossible for us to get infected. So we can not look down upon them and should treat them equally just like normal people. The homosexual is another problem emerging in recent years. In the past, the homosexual is regarded as a kind of mental illness. With the social development, people treat the problem more open. However, a large number of people still can not stand this phenomenon. They can not accept these people. The worst case is a homosexual is infected with AIDS, just like the main character Andrew Beckett in the film Philadelphia. He was a homosexual, and got AIDS at the same time, which were known by his colleagues. The company dismissed him unfairly. When he wanted to fight for his rights, no one wanted to help him. He was rejected by everyone. I think it was a kind of invasion to him. He was just ill. When he was healthy, he made great contribution to the society. When he was ill, he needed help from the society, rather than the cold treatment. We should be tolerant to everyone. More people will be happy and the society will be more harmonious. The director is brave enough to reveal the truth and is on their side. So the rating is 4 stars.。

Set in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, the film is a classic romantic comedy that beautifully explores themes of love, social status, and personal growth. The plot revolves around the charismatic Tracy Lord, played by the incredibly talented Katharine Hepburn. Tracy is a wealthy socialite who is about to marry for the second time. However, her seemingly perfect life is turned upside down when her ex-husband, C.K. The exchanges between Tracy, Dexter, and the charming journalist Macaulay Connor, played by James Stewart, are particularly captivating and serve as the backbone of the movie. The cinematography of "Philadelphia Story" is also worth mentioning. The settings are beautifully captured, showcasing the grandeur and elegance of the affluent society Tracy belongs to. She grapples with her own insecurities and learns valuable lessons about love, acceptance, and the importance of being true to oneself. The character development is masterfully done, as Tracy evolves from a seemingly shallow and privileged socialite into a woman with depth, compassion, and a better understanding of her own desires. The performances in "Philadelphia Story" are simply outstanding. Katharine Hepburn delivers a tour de force performance as Tracy Lord, effortlessly capturing the complexities of her character. Her portrayal is both charismatic and vulnerable, showcasing her remarkable range as an actress. James Stewart delivers a stellar performance as Macaulay Connor, perfectly balancing his character's cynicism with moments of genuine warmth and sincerity. The supporting cast, including Ruth Hussey as the witty and insightful photographer Elizabeth Imbrie, and John Howard as Tracy's fiancé George Kittredge, also deserve praise for their excellent performances. Each actor brings their own unique energy and contributes to the overall success of the film.Furthermore, "Philadelphia Story" beautifully addresses social issues such as class distinctions and the constraints imposed by societal expectations. The story of Philadelphia
Philadelphia was a city filled with love, and the story about homosexuality and AIDS happened in this city.
Although he won the case but he was fired due to his incompetence,
but in fact, one of the partners found some lesions on his forehead which was the sigh of AIDS. The partners were afraid to be infected, so they found an excuse to frame Andrew and fire him.
Andrew knew the reason why he was fired, he wanted to be treated fair and not be discriminated because of his AIDS.
So he tried his best to find lawyer to defend him, but no one wanted to help him. The two excellent counselors worked together to search the law
documentary to find proof. They met many difficulties. On the one hand, Andrew suffered physical pain, to make matter worse; Andrew’s private life is exploited before the public, such his homosexual, his AID. But he didn’t afraid anything, he just wants to eliminate the discrimination with AIDS and homosexuality. In the process, Joe gradually understood the homosexuality, and eliminated his prejudice and wanted to fight for the homosexual’s rights.
After conquered many difficulties, they won the case and got a large sum of settlement. But when Joe went to the hospital to tell Andrew the good news, Andrew was going to die. Andrew used his weak voice appreciate his thanks to Joe. At that moment, they understand each other, both of them are the fighters for justice.
Fortunately, Andrew’s boyfriend, migul, accompanied Andrew all the time
until the last moment. It showed the grateful love of homosexuality, whatever the problem they met, they never get off another’s hands.
Andrew’s words impressed me, he said, “It’s every now and again not often but occasional, you get to be a part of justice being done, that’s really quite thrill when that happens.” it make me feel the power of justice. Because no matter when, there is nothing wrong with love, and loving
somebody who has the same sex with you isn’t an error. So we should give more tolerance to them, and make them feel more comfortable to love and to be loved.
The film ends up with a song, and the song tells us Philadelphia is a country filled with love, and it is the place where the Declaration of Independence is published。
And the Philadelphian can easily tolerate differences. So this is the beautiful story happened in this beautiful country, and this is the film--- The story of Philadelphia.
