My View on Job-hopping

Job-hopping seems quite common these days and the concept of jobs for life is falling apart. However, people’s opinions are varied towards this issue.

For those who never change their jobs throughout life, job-hopping can be challenging. It requires time and efforts to get used to a new environment. Since they have already accumulated the skills and experiences qualified for a certain job, what’s the point of quit ting it to start over? Furthermore, changing jobs frequently reflects badly on your loyalty as an employee. However, others in favor of job-hopping hold that it will help to advance one’s career. If you you’re your current job dissatisfying or not as rewarding as expected, you should hop to other ones for a change. By doing different jobs, you will know what you are really good at, and gain various experiences of life.

As for me, I believe that, in this fast-changing era of information, job-hopping has become more than common and acceptable. Hopping from job to job is part of the process of climbing the career ladder, through which we’ll finally find our perfect jobs.

Should the Wealthy Contribute to Charities?

There is a general debate today over the phenomenon that people with deep pockets give away assets to charity business. Different people hold different opinions about the donation. Some people take it for granted that the wealthy should donate. Firstly, as the gap between the rich and the poor widens, it is morally right for the wealthy to take the responsibility to contribute to charity business. Moreover, most of their money was mad e after China’s reform and opening-up policy, and they should therefore do charity work as a return to our society.

However, still others think differently. In their opinions, the rich’s success mainly depends on their individual struggle, and they do not necessarily need to take the responsibility of charity. Besides, donations should be purely voluntary. No pressure should be brought on the wealthy to force them to subscribe.

For my part, charitable donations should be made on a completely voluntary basis rather than on social pressure. If their priorities are all about making quality products，treating employees well, being good to the environment and paying taxes, it is another kind of contribution to the charity cause.
