4Reading is the easiest skill. It is also the most widely found English language skill amongst Chinese student, Writing is a more active skill than reading. However it is still a little easier than speaking, as there is plenty of time to choose the right words look in the dictionary for help, and make corrections. Listening is the third most important language skill to learn. It is far more difficult to listen and understand spoken English than to read English in a book or in a letter. Speaking English may be the most difficult of the four language skills. It is an active skill, and requires the student to put words together into sentences without much time to prepare, and with no time for correction, yet it is the most exciting skill to have, as it opens up wonderful channels of communication with people of others cultures and countries. But this is just what we lack.More often than not I found some of the students who get high marks in their exams showed an inability to communicate with people in English. And this enabled me to understand deeper what my first English teacher has always emphasized: listening and speaking keeping ahead; reading and writing following up. I believe this is the rule of learning a language because we learn a certain language to communicate. As weconquered the most difficult parts: listening and speaking, we would easily master the writing and reading skills. 5Since the theme of this year’s competition was “globalization”, we have enjoyed various visions from contestants on thinking of what we young people should do to meet the challenges and the opportunities posed by globalization. But there’s one thing for sure: good English and communication skills are the gateway to the world arena. I hope some of man and woman in China who have conquered English to hold hands together to build up the bridge between China and the rest of the world with the world’s most widely used language! 6Then how can we make it? I have seen lots of diligent students in the early morning reading aloud their English texts without paying any attention to their nearly unacceptable pronunciation. I feel sorry for those students because their hard work deserves a much better English level if they improve their method of learning.I found that my way of learning English that I formed from middle school still works today. By listening to tapes and imitating the speakers one can improve his pronunciation within a short time. By reciting classic essays one can enrich their language as well as enlarge their vocabulary. As a non-English major, I like to set aside a certain period of time for English learning everyday, usually an hour or at least half an hour. I utilize this precious time by listening to tapes and imitating their content and then reciting the short passages I like. To be frank, “Crazy English” has always been my favorite. This is definitely not intended to flatter. Instead of dividing my attention between too many materials, I’d rather concentrate on one particular resource at a time such as CE, not onlybecause of its abundant content and native English, but also because of the benefits it has brought to me through intensive reading, listening and reciting, I believe that studying English by using these intensive methods will help you to get twice the result with half the effort. 7Three mirrors reflect the way I learn English After I came back from the “21st century-Ericsson cup”7th national English Speaking competition with the award of the “Most Promising Speaker”, people kept asking me the same question over and over again. “How did you learn English, especially as a Non-English major?” Actually I believe that a hundred people would have a hundred of ways to learn English well. However, I would like to share my personal experience of English learning with those who have the enthusiasm for improve their English. Since I have set up three mirrors in my prepared speech in hoping that they would guide our young generation on the way to globalization, I would like to maintain three mirrors here to reflect how I learned English. The first mirror, I assume, should reflect a steady foundation. This involves my first few years of English learning, which I consider as the key factor of all my achievements in the years to follow. At that time I entered the middle school attached to Xi’an Jiaoton University, I could only say my ABCs while others in my class could at least communicate in simple English. All the tales about the frightfulness of learning English then popped up in my mind and made me feel scared. Fortunately my first English teacher was very experienced in enlightening her students on English learning. She was a kind woman with a charming smile. But her homework assignments were not easy task: They required us to read after the tape for 20 times and recite the whole text. So it was quite natural that most of my classmates only recited the short essay within a short time and then went to play. But my fear of not being able to say a single word, made me sit down and immerse myself in what the teacher had asked me to do. 8Before every English class we would have an on duty report to let the students say something according to what they had learned .My first presentation in class was to recite a dialogue. But to my great surprise, my teacher praised me for my pronunciation. I tittered because I had imitated the readers in the tape for at least 20 times until finally I couldn’t find any differences between our pronunciations. And I did not realize that this little prize given by my teacher began to influence my English learning magically.I believe the first three years of English learning guaranteed the possibility of my further achievements because by means of imitation I built a foundation of good pronunciation and by means of reciting I restored the basic element of English language. On the whole, I would like to show my sincere thanks to my first English teachers. Yu Zhiling, who is now still caring for my growth. The second mirror I would like to mention here reflects an effective way of English learning. I still stick to my point of view that different people have different techniques to learn English well. But there are some methods that seem to be obviously ineffective.Let’s first have a look at the four important skills for students to master: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I have placed them in order of difficulty. 9As we all know the english language more and more important inour daily study and life。
The Importance of confidenceWhatever one does, one should do it with confidence. If one has no confidence, there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything, especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships. This truth seems to be evident. However, in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome. For someone, this might be true. But for many others, this only shows that they have lost heart. Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something? There are, among others, two main reasons. First, these people do have a correct estimate of themselves. Second, they overestimate the difficulties. It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one;s abilities. We should never underestimate one;s abilities. But believe in the proverb: Where there is a will, there is a way. Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully. I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English.I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday ,it will love me too.I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!Thank you! Chinese New Year has a lot of fun, such as eating reunion dinner, setting off firecrackers, people giving lucky money, watching the Spring Festival gala... In so much fun, the most memorable thing in my mind was the reunion dinner, which was prepared by me and my mother. In our country, the reunion dinner is to eat jiaozi, my mother and I began to pack. I asked my mother, is it hard to wrap dumplings? Mother said, it is not difficult to learn anything. Listen to the mother I increased a lot of confidence, so my mother began to explain to me, listen to the mother#39;s explanation, I know how to make dumplings, but although I know how to package, but I have bad package a half a day. I asked my mother curiously: how can you pack as well as you do? Mother said: like you learn bicycle, it is not difficult to learn, you bag is not normal, because you are the first bag. Listen to the mother of comfort, I still so I try to wrap but I didn#39;t mom bag well, but I have invented many new varieties, have a little rabbit sample, puppy, little monkey, but good.A bowl of delicious dumplings on the end of the table, I quickly eat a mouthful, ah really sweet! The grandfather was surprised to say: this dumpling how strange, have a lot ofappearance oh, is not you this trouble demon bag. Everyone laughed, and my mother and I laughed. This year, the most interesting thing to eat is a reunion dinner, because I did it with my mother. Let me begin my speech with a replay of scenes familiar to most, if not all, of those present here today.Mum, I#39;m sorry, but I need 3,000 yuan for my tuition this year.Mum, it is my friend#39;s birthday tomorrow, I must buy her a present.Mum, this jacket was out of fashion long ago, would you do me a favor?Take. Take. Take. The relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. I know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything I need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. I never thought twice about all she did until one day she said, Will there be a time that you#39;ll say you have taken enough from me?Like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer#39;s floods. we cannot continue our carelessness. Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? How much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start, I firmly believe, that our children, and our children#39;s children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

Good morningeveningafternoon, ladies and gentlemen :Today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.First, i'd like to define the word"talent" in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say, they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ?because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more and more people go to university, more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return, talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games……To sum up, talents will play a more and more impoetant role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all, thank you.

Good morning everyone,I am honored to stand here today and speak to you about my passion – environmental conservation. As we all know, the planet we live on is facing tremendous challenges, from climate change to loss of biodiversity and environmental pollution. But I believe that it is not too late to turn things around, and that each and every one of us has a role to play in creating a more sustainable and livable future. To begin with, we need to recognize the interdependence of all living beings, and the delicate balance that exists in our ecosystems. We cannot continue to exploit natural resources without regard for the long-term consequences, or to pollute our air and water without taking responsibility for the harms we cause. As individuals, we can make a difference by reducing our own carbon footprint, by recycling and conserving resources, and by supporting policies and practices that protect the environment. But we also need to work together, as communities, businesses, and governments, to address the systemic causes of environmental degradation. This means investing in renewable energy, protecting wildlife habitats, and reducing the use of harmful chemicals in agriculture and industry. It means promoting sustainable tourism, designing cities with green spaces and public transportation, and promoting education and awareness about environmental issues. Most importantly, it means recognizing that environmental conservation is not a luxury or an afterthought, but a fundamental aspect of our survival and well-being. We cannot thrive on a planet that is dying, and we cannot achieve social justice and equity without addressing the environmental crises that disproportionately affect the most vulnerable communities. We must prioritize environmental conservation as a core value in our economy, our politics, and our daily lives. In closing, I urge everyone here today to take action in support of environmental conservation. Whether it is by recycling a bottle, volunteering at a local park, or advocating for policy change, every action counts. We owe it to ourselves, to future generations, and to the planet we call home. Thank you.2. Ladies and gentlemen,It is an honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to speak to you today about such an important topic: diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As we all know, a diverse workforce is not only a moral imperative, but also a business imperative. Studies have shown that diverse teams outperform homogenous ones, and that companies with a diverse workforce are more innovative, adaptable, and profitable. But what does diversity and inclusion in the workplace actually mean? It goes beyond simply hiring people of different races, gender identities, and backgrounds. It means creating a workenvironment that is safe, respectful, and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their identity or background. It means valuing and respecting the unique perspectives, skills, and experiences that each person brings to the table.Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go before we can say that diversity and inclusion are the norm in the workplace. Too often, individuals from underrepresented groups face obstacles in recruitment, retention, and promotion, due to bias, discrimination, and lack of access to opportunities. This not only harms those individuals, but also limits the potential of the entire organization to achieve its goals and mission. So, what can we do to promote diversity and inclusion in our own workplaces? I believe that there are several strategies that can make a difference. First, we need to acknowledge and address implicit bias. This means recognizing the ways in which our own unconscious biases may affect our decisions, and taking steps to mitigate their impact. It also means increasing our own cultural competence, by learning about different cultures, identities, and experiences.Secondly, we need to ensure that our recruitment and hiring processes are fair and inclusive. This means seeking out diverse candidates, widening the pool of applicants, and using objective criteria to assess qualifications. It also means providing support and training to new hires, to ensure that they feel valued and included from the start. Finally, we need to create a workplace culture that is supportive ofdiversity and inclusion. This means providing opportunities for all employees to learn, grow, and advance, regardless of their background or identity. It means fostering a sense of belonging and community, and encouraging open communication and dialogue. And it means holding ourselves and each other accountable for creating a workplace that reflects our values of respect, equality, and justice. In conclusion, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace is not only the right thing to do, but also the smart thing to do. By creating a work environment that welcomes and values diversity, we can unlock the full potential of our workforce, and achieve greater innovation, productivity, and success. So let us commit ourselves to this cause, and work together to build a future in which diversity and inclusion are not just buzzwords, but a reality. Thank you.3. Dear friends,Today, I want to talk to you about a topic that is incredibly close to my heart: mental health. Mental health is an issue that affects us all, whether directly or indirectly. It is estimated that one in four people will experience mental health problems at some point in their lives, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated this trend, with rates of depression, anxiety, and stress on the rise around the world. The reasons for this are complex and varied. They include socialand economic inequality, discrimination and stigma, trauma and abuse, and pressures from work, school, and family. But whatever the cause, the impact on individuals and society is profound. Mental health problems can lead to reduced quality of life, impaired relationships, and even suicide. They can also have negative effects on physical health, productivity, and social cohesion. So, what can we do to promote mental health and well-being, both for ourselves and for those around us? First and foremost, we need to recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that seeking help for mental health problems is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. We need to break down the barriers of shame and silence that prevent people from seeking support, and create a culture of openness, acceptance, and empathy.Secondly, we need to promote mental health literacy, by increasing awareness and understanding of mental health issues, and by providing education and training to help individuals and communities recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, and know how to respond. We also need to ensure that mental health services are accessible, affordable, and effective, and that they are integrated with other health and social services. Finally, we need to work together, across sectors and disciplines,to address the root causes of mental health problems, and to create environments and policies that support mental health and well-being. This means investing in social determinants of health, such as housing, education, and employment, and promoting policies that reduce inequality and discrimination. It means providingadequate resources for mental health research, prevention, and treatment, and involving people with lived experience in all aspects of mental health care.In conclusion, mental health is a fundamental aspect of human well-being and dignity, and it is our collective responsibility to promote it. Let us work together to build a future in which mental health is valued, respected, and prioritized, and in which everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Thank you.4. Dear fellow citizens,As we approach the next election, it is important that we reflect on the current state of our democracy, and consider the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Democracy is not a static or fixed system, but a dynamic process that requires constant vigilance and engagement from all of us. We must recognize that democracy is not just a set of institutions and procedures, but a way of life, based on shared values of freedom, equality, and justice. Unfortunately, our democracy is facing a number of serious threats today. We are witnessing the erosion of democratic norms and values, the rise of authoritarianism and populism, and the delegitimization of the institutions and principles that underpin our democracy. We are also facing significant social and economic challenges, from inequality and polarization to racism and climate change, that require collective action and political will to address. But despite these challenges, I believe that there is reason for hope.I believe that we can strengthen our democracy and build a better future, by working together and engaging in meaningful dialogue and debate. I believe that we can address the root causes of social and economic inequality, and create a more just and equitable society. And I believe that we can recommit ourselves to the values of democracy, by defending the rule of law, promoting civil discourse, and respecting the rights of all individuals. To achieve these goals, we must begin by engaging in open and honest dialogue, across political and ideological divides. We must listen to each other's perspectives, and seek common ground and solutions that reflect the diversity and complexity of our society. We must also work to increase democratic participation and engagement, by promoting voter registration, expanding access to voting, and supporting civic education and awareness. We must also hold our elected officials accountable to the principles and values of democracy, and demand transparency, honesty, and integrity in governance. We must resist attempts to undermine the rule of law, and protect the independence and integrity of our institutions, from the judiciary to the media to the civil service. And we must promote policies and practices that promote social and economic equity, and ensure that all individuals have the opportunity to participate fully in our democracy. In closing, I urge all of us to recommit ourselves to the values and principles of democracy, and to work together to create a future that is just, equitable, and democratic. We owe it to ourselves, to our children, and to the generations that will follow, to protect andstrengthen this precious and fragile system. Let us honor the memory of those who fought for democracy before us, by continuing their work, and ensuring that democracy thrives for generations to come. Thank you.5. Dear graduates,As you stand here today, on the cusp of a new chapter in your lives, I want to reflect on the importance of perseverance and resilience. Between the challenges of the past year and the uncertainties of the future, it is easy to feel discouraged, overwhelmed, or lost. But it is precisely in these moments of difficulty and adversity that our true strength and character are revealed.Perseverance is not just about gritting your teeth and pushing through tough times, although that is certainly part of it. Perseverance is about having a clear sense of purpose, and a deep commitment to your goals, even when the road is rocky or the destination seems far away. It means being flexible and adaptable to change, and being willing to learn and grow from setbacks and failures.Resilience is not just about bouncing back from adversity, although that is certainly part of it. Resilience is about having a strong sense of self, and a deep belief in your own worth and potential, even in the face of challenges or criticism. It means cultivating positive relationships and support networks, and drawing on your strengths and resources to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.Together, perseverance and resilience are the foundation of success and fulfillment. They enable us to overcome the obstacles that stand in our way, and to achieve our dreams and aspirations. But they are not just individual traits – they are also collective values, that we can cultivate and support in each other, as friends, family members, colleagues, and members of a larger community. As you move forward to the next phase of your lives, I encourage you to reflect on your own values, goals, and aspirations, and to cultivate your own sense of perseverance and resilience. Surround yourself with people who support and challenge you, and seek out opportunities to learn and grow. And remember that setbacks are not the end of the road – they are just temporary detours on the journey of life.In closing, I want to congratulate you on your achievements, and to wish you all the best in your future endeavors. May you continue to persevere and thrive, and may you make a positive difference in the world. Thank you.。

It is spoken all over the world. But a few students don’t learn English well. So they want to drop English. I suggest that you shouldn’t give up English, because English is used in many countries as the first or second language. Most business letters are written in English. It is helpful for youto work in the future. If you don’t know English, you will fall behind others in future. How can you learn English well First, you should persevere. It’s true that English is sometimes really very difficult for us. But if you have a good method of learning, I think you will be good at it. Both English listening and speaking are the most difficult for almost every beginner. Sometimes, it seems impossible to learn. But I thinkif you do a lot of practice, you will make progress, you should speak more and listen more often. You’d better speak English with your classmates as often as possible not only in class but also out of class. I advise you to buy a radio, so you can listen to some English programmes over the radio. Then you will travel in the world of English. If you do that, you’ll be able to learn English well easily, and you’ll like English very much.I hope all of you will become good at English step by step. And you can study English in some advises:1. Listen to BBC news persistently to improve your English hearing.2. Read more and more English books, especially those written by English native speakers to e_pand your vocabulary as well as readingcapability.3. Try to speak in English when it s need to get rid of shyness and your spoken English will improve greatly.4. Of course, to chat with native speakers, if possible, is a good method for learning English. Or you may chat with them on-line since you ve time to log onto the Internet.5. To watch English movies or TV plays is another option for learning English. 5Here are some tips which may help you to master the English Language!Speak without FearThe biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear. They worry that they won’t say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don’t talk at all. Don’t do this. The fastest way to learn anything is to do it – again and again until you get it right. Like anything, learning English requires practice. Don’t let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.Use all of your ResourcesEven if you study English at a language school it doesn’t mean you can’t learn outside of class. Using as many differ ent sources, methods and tools as possible, will allow you to learn faster. There are many different ways you can improve your English, so don’t limit yourself to only one or two. The internet is a fantastic resource for virtually anything, but for the language learner it s perfect.Surround Yourself with EnglishThe absolute best way to learn English is to surround yourself withit. Take notes in English, put English books around your room, listen to English language radio broadcasts, watch English news, movies and television. Speak English with your friends whenever you can. The more English material that you have around you, the faster you will learn and the more likely it is that you will begin “thinking in English.” .Listen to Native Speakers as Much as PossibleThere are some good English teachers that have had to learn English as a second language before they could teach it. However, there are several reasons why many of the best schools prefer to hire native English speakers. One of the reasons is that native speakers have a natural flow to their speech that students of English should try to imitate. The closer ESL / EFL students can get to this rhythm or flow, the more convincing and comfortable they will become.Watch English Films and TelevisionThis is not only a fun way to learn but it is also very effective. By watching English films (especially those with English subtitles) you can e_pand your vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors. If you listen to the news you can also hear different accents.Listen to English MusicMusic can be a very effective method of learning English. In fact, it is often used as a way of improving comprehension. The best way to learn though, is to get the lyrics (words) to the songs you are listening to and try to read them as the artist sings. There are several good internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time. And if you like to sing, fine.Study As Often As Possible!Only by studying things like grammar and vocabulary and doinge_ercises, can you really improve your knowledge of any language.Do E_ercises and Take TestsMany people think that e_ercises and tests aren t much fun. However, by completing e_ercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots ofe_ercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with. Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or si_ months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many e_ercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you ve learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English.Record YourselfNobody likes to hear their own voice on tape but like tests, it is good to compare your tapes from time to time. You may be so impressed with the progress you are making that you may not mind the sound of your voice as much.Listen to EnglishBy this, we mean, speak on the phone or listen to radio broadcasts, audiobooks or CDs in English. This is different than watching the television or films because you can’t see the person that is speaking to you. Many learners of English say that speaking on the phone is one of the most difficult things that they do and the only way to improve is to practice.FinallyHave fun!

1How to Be PopularMost people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to popularity? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. Its also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.

1i started a company called blueblood. this is for you. i created an online marketplace for professional truck drivers when they are in need of work to match with a motor carrier who needs a driver. we are just rolling out. my concern is the regulations. my concern is for all industries, what can we do with the regulationissued to help us through these phases?you heard the president when he started off. he has rolled back already so many regulations to make it possible to move forward. he was only less than a dozen days in office when the executive order stated for every new regulation you want tocreate youve got to get rid of 2. i think that is bringing down theregulatory environment. i feel -- i hear the same message when imtouring the country. im visiting every district office. theres 68 of them. i hold business roundtables. the regulatoryenvironment is clearly one that is crippling a lot of small businesses as well as large businesses. i believe that it is a trillion dollars a year a cost for all businesses to comply with regulations. that is a time of money. a little example, just now i was in portland and seattle, and alaska. then i came back tomilwaukee. when i was at a small brewery, the owner said theregulations that bothers him, let me give you one example. he saidi want to launch a new beer. we had the bodyin the formula. hesent in the label and it was kicked back. the label was wrong. we resubmitted. it kicked back again. i finally found out it was a,missing in the text on the label of the description of the product. we were delayed six months launching our product. you are a small business person trying to reclaim that six months.those regulations we dont need. 2good afternoon. im the president and ceo of pda drywall. we are based in raleigh, north carolina. one of the biggest setbacks in the last 12 years has been tax regulations. as we are embarking on tax forms discussions, what are you going to do for small businesses to help change those regulations in favor of small businesses?many of the same things we have beendiscussing, comprehensive tax reform. mr. gary co. in the here has beenspearheading this charge at the white house. you can definitely pick his brain about tax reform. it is high on his mind these days.lowering the corporate rate, encouraging business to grow, encouraging businesses based here to stay here, bring theircapital back that has been trapped overseas will have anenormously positive impact within our country and free updollars that can be reinvested. in conjunction with regulatoryreform, we have come out of the gate swinging. its a major focus. my fathers particular sensitivity to this issue is havingbeen a successful person in business himself. he understands thelimitations, whether businesses he was looking to buy or grow, dealing with suppliers and smaller businesses that services companies. he very much understands how the regulatory environment, while important has grown to a place where it is the unintended consequences is stifling entrepreneurial spirit. we are going to bring that back. we havestarted doing it. tax reform is going to be incredibly important for every american. we are optimistic about those things. and continued progress.i would like to add, small businesses will say to me any tax reduction will be great. just let me know what it is. what is going to be my percentage. tell me what the rate is going to be so i can plan. without fail, every single one of those businesses tell me they will take that money and reinvest it in their business and hire more people. that will grow our economy. we will see that growth when we see tax rates go down. especially those in thellcs, all that money flows through. you know exactly how that works. we are working on it. 3my name is richard daphne. i have over 30 years in different sizebusinesses, with many ups and downs. my question is for ivanka.what do you feel has been your biggest challenge, most exciting success? mrs.as an entrepreneur you try to balance yourown time, energy, focus, especially when you think big. you sometimes have to slow yourself down. so, to not -- to impose thediscipline on yourself to enable you to achieve the growth youwant, especially in the early days, you have limited people. you arejust launching a product or a service. you hopefully feel thatearly momentum. when you are an entrepreneur you have to be a visionary. we also have to be an secured her. successfulentrepreneurs are both. they dream big. they think big. they also are highly pragmatic, able to execute at the task at hand.sometimes there is an imbalance. i think for anyone to besuccessful, they have to reconcile those things. ultimately we were talking about it, in terms of recruitment, you are as good as your people.investing in your teams, your employees, making sureyou have cultivated a group that complements you, that pushesyou , that will enable you to succeed. for me, success that is scaled and done tremendously well is because they have a great team and great people.thank you for doing this work today. we are a marketing publicengagement firm. we are a serviced a bold veteran small business. we have been based in northern virginia for many years. virginia is the number one state for veteran owned businesses. our right to pursue the american dream is something i hold dear to my heart.im curious, im sure you have had the opportunity to meet greatentrepreneurs. is there one story that is the most inspirational story?it is been incredible to hear so many stories.during the two years prior campaigning, traveling around the country. one of the unique things about this experience, my father was running for president. people would come up to youwherever you were and tell you their stories. with suchtremendous detail, and tell you of their hardest challenges, and share with you things in a way they neither -- never would have.they would never open themselves up to you in the same way theydo during the process of a campaign. now today, being part of this administration. i feel blessed for the candor in which people share their ideas and personal stories. linda and i were together in baltimore just days after the inauguration. we did a roundtable with small business owners, predominantly female, hosted by the national urban league. one of those women who actually i brought her to the white house a few months later is named lisa phillips. she had a smalls ness. she told me her storyand i think -- we were all crying. it was so amazing. she started out homeless. she is now engaged. this spring she got her mastersdegree. she has a small but thriving small businessand party planning. she is volunteering with homeless youth in baltimore. so this is -- these types of stories forever change you. it is unbelievable to hear the purser variants, the grant, the energy. i know she is going to make an enormous impact not just in her business but her community. we talk about small business, how it is going to grow our economy and benefit american workers, butthe amount of philanthropy being done on the local level by small business is a norm is enormous. im sure each of you can share your own stories just about how you are able to give act and you do in such a tremendous way. lisa story was moving to me. 4last year,, this year, during national small -- smallbusiness week there was a company just outside of austin, texas.their company was all about electronics and small circuit boards. you have a warehouse of all of these intricate circuit boards and electronic equipment. the river flooded and came in and just flooded their entire operation. water was deep. med. ithink it destroyed a third of their inventory. everybody they hadnot processed. the gentleman who was the proprietor of thiscompany said what was so amazing, sba was able to come in with a $2 million disaster relief loan. he talked about how his employees would come and work all hours. they had to take cloths andwhite down all of the wires and cables and clean the circuitboards that were salvageable. they spent hours doing this. in six weeks they were back up and running. many couldnt come in and work during that time. he continued to pay his employees andtheir benefits through that entire time and helped with donations in the community as well. it lets you know the heart ofentrepreneurs. they are risk takers but they are on 24/7. that is why they will always have a special place in my heart .i know what that is like. we all started small.wonderful stories just like many in this room. we have time for one more.im the owner of the newtown athletic club in pennsylvania. imalso cochair of the largest trade organization for fitnessindustry, and an advocate through my business of the right to try bill. i would like to ask both of you, what are the experiences you have had that you would like to share, some of the dos anddonts that would be beneficial to us today?every entrepreneur goes into business knowing they are taking a risk. you have to manage the downside risk. one of the ups and downs, i have been bankrupt. my house was auctioned in my car repossessed. seven months pregnant with our second child. when i talked to entrepreneurs with failing businesses, some referred to it as a bad patch. they are determined to come back. one of the most inspirational things to me is to listen to entrepreneurs, how they get through thetough times. ive often said it is not how you fall, it is how you get back up. mrs. 5ive had an interesting experience. im an entrepreneur, having started my own business, also worked in the context of a family business that was highly entrepreneurial.ive had both, working in a large family business, that grew to be arather large business. i think for me, one of the challenges wasmanaging the competing demands of raising a family and, and running a business, working in a family business. and then politics got layered on top of that. then i got pregnant with my thirdchild in the midst of that. one of the things, there is no right answer. people ask about balance a lot. i dont think you can plan for balance. you can structure your schedule toavoid worktravel, coming home and having an event or you have to be out.you can manage things like that. we are one kid illness away from losing balance. theres no way you can plan for certain things. i have found every time i think a challenge is large and will behard to overcome that has been put in my path, if you grindthrough it, you look back in retrospect and it feels much more manageable than it was in the moment. this perspective, staying in the moment, keeping a laser focus on what your priorities are. i tell people not to architect their life for balance, but aligned with what their priorities are. and fully measure yourself againstpriorities to ensure you are where you needed to be in the long term. give yourself a little slack in the short term. i will say as anadministration, we are focused on thinking about how weempower the american working family and empower people to achieve a balance through policies around making child caremore affordable and accessible, advocating strongly for paid family leave. to support the reality of of the dual income modernworking family. thinking through policies that support the family is informed by what i have seen and what i have witnessed.。

1All of you, and judge teachers and classmates: good morning, I am very glad to attend the speech contest, today I'm going to give you a speech topic is "how to learn English well"...English is important in the modern world. It is spoken all over the world. But a few students don’t learn English well. So they want to drop English. I suggest that you shouldn’t give up English, because English is used in many countries as the first or second language. Most business letters are written in English. It is helpful for you to work in the future. If you don’t know English, you will fall behind others in future. How can you learn English well? First, you should persevere. It’s true that English is sometimes really very difficult for us. But if you have a good method of learning, I think you will be good at it. Both English listening and speaking are the most difficult for almost every beginner. Sometimes, it seems impossible to learn. But I think if you do a lot of practice, you will make progress, you should speak more and listen more often. Read more and more English books, especially thosewritten by English native speakers to expand your vocabulary as well as reading capability.3. Try to speak in English when it's need to get rid of shyness and your spoken English will improve greatly.4. Of course, to chat with native speakers, if possible, is a good method for learning English. Or you may chat with them on-line since you've time to log onto the Internet.5. To watch English movies or TV plays is another option for learning English. 2:How To Learn English! Here are some tips which may help you to master the English Language!Speak without FearThe biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear. Using as many different sources, methods and tools as possible, will allow you to learn faster. There are many different ways you can improve your English, so don’t limit yourself to only one or two. The internet is a fantastic resource for virtually anything, but for the language learner it's perfect.Surround Yourself with EnglishThe absolute best way to learn English is to surround yourselfwith it. By watching English films (especially those with English subtitles) you can expand your vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors. And if you like to sing, fine.Study As Often As Possible!Only by studying things like grammar and vocabulary and doing exercises, can you really improve your knowledge of any language.Do Exercises and T ake TestsMany people think that exercises and tests aren't much fun. However, by completing exercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots of exercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with. Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or six months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many exercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you've learned. This is different than watching the tel evision or films because you can’t see the person that is speaking to you. Many learners of English say that speaking on the phone is one of the most difficult things that they do and the only way to improve is to practice.FinallyHave fun!

Hill, and I am a professor of law at the University of Oklahoma. I was born on a farm in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, in 1956. I am the youngest of 13 children. I had my early education in Okmulgee County. My father, Albert Hill, is a farmer in that area. My mother#39;s name is Irma Hill. She is also a farmer and a housewife. My childhood was one of a lot of hard work and not much money, but it was one of solid family affection, as represented by my parents. I was reared in a religious atmosphere in the Baptist faith, and I have been a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since 1983. It is a very warm part of my life at the present time. For my undergraduate work, I went to Oklahoma State University and graduated from there in 1977. I am attaching to this statement a copy of my resume for further details of my education.I graduated from the university with academic honors and proceeded to the Yale Law School, where I received my JD degree in 1980. Upon graduation from law school, I became a practicing lawyer with the Washington, DC, firm of Ward, Hardraker, and Ross.In 1981, I was introduced to now Judge Thomas by a mutual friend. Judge Thomas told me that he was anticipating a political appointment, and he asked if I would be interested in working with him. He was, in fact, appointed as Assistant Secretary of Education for Civil Rights. After he had taken that post, he asked if I would become his assistant, and I accepted that position. In my early period there, I had two major projects. The first was an article I wrote for Judge Thomas#39; signature on the education of minority students. The second was the organization of a seminar on high-risk students which was abandoned because Judge Thomas transferred to the EEOC where he became the chairman of that office.During this period at the Department of Education, my working relationship with Judge Thomas was positive. I had a good deal of responsibility and independence. I thought he respected my work and that he trusted my judgment. After approximately three months of working there, he asked me to go out socially with him. What happened next and telling the world about it are the two most difficult things --experiences of my life. It is only after a great deal of agonizing consideration and sleeplessnumber -- a great number of sleepless nights that I am able to talk of these unpleasant matters to anyone but my close friends.I declined the invitation to go out socially with him and explained to him that I thought it would jeopardize what at the time I considered to be a very good working relationship. I had a normal social life with other men outside of the office. I believed then, as now, that having a social relationship with a person who was supervising my work would be ill-advised. I was very uncomfortable with the idea and told him so.I thought that by saying no and explaining my reasons my employer would abandon his social suggestions. However, to my regret, in the following few weeks, he continued to ask me out on several occasions. He pressed me to justify my reasons for saying no to him. These incidents took place in his office or mine. They were in the form of private conversations which would not have been overheard by anyone else.My working relationship became even more strained when Judge Thomas began to use work situations to discuss sex. On these occasions, he would call me into his office for reports on education issues and projects, or he might suggest that, because of the time pressures of his schedule, we go to lunch to a government cafeteria. After a brief discussion of work, he would turn the conversation to a discussion of sexual matters. His conversations were very vivid. He spoke about acts that he had seen in pornographic films involving such matters as women having sex with animals and films showing group sex or rape scenes. He talked about pornographic materials depicting individuals with large penises or large breasts involved in various sex acts. On several occasions, Thomas told me graphically of his own sexual prowess.Because I was extremely uncomfortable talking about sex with him at all and particularly in such a graphic way, I told him that I did not want to talk about these subjects. I would also try to change the subject to education matters or to nonsexual personal matters such as his background or his beliefs. My efforts to change the subject were rarely successful.Throughout the period of these conversations, he also from time to time asked me for social engagements. My reaction to these conversations was to avoid them by eliminating opportunities for us to engage in extended conversations. This was difficult because at the time I was his only assistant at the Office of Education -- or Office for Civil Rights.During the latter part of my time at the Department of Education, the social pressures and any conversation of his offensive behavior ended. I began both to believe and hope that our working relationship could be a proper, cordial, and professional one. When Judge Thomas was made chair of the EEOC, I needed to face the question of whether to go with him. I was asked to do so, and I did. The work itself was interesting, and at that time it appeared that the sexual overtures which had so troubled me had ended. I also faced the realistic fact that I had no alternative job. While I might have gone back to private practice, perhaps in my old firm or at another, I was dedicated to civil rights work, and my first choice was to be in that field. Moreover, the Department of Education itself was a dubious venture. President Reagan was seeking to abolish the entire department. For my first months at the EEOC, where I continued to be an assistant to Judge Thomas, there were no sexual conversations or overtures. However, during the fall and winter of 1982, these began again. The comments were random and ranged from pressing me about why I didn#39;t go out with him to remarks about my personal appearance. I remember his saying thatsome day I would have to tell him the real reason that I wouldn#39;t go out with him.分钟英语演讲稿篇三we have heard time and time again that the evidence reflects the payment to defendants money. the president had knowledge that these funds were being paid and these were funds collected for the 1972 presidential campaign. we know that the president met with mr. henry petersen 27 times to discuss matters related to watergate, and immediately thereafter met with the very persons who were implicated in the information mr. petersen was receiving. the words are: if the president is connected in any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to believe that he will shelter that person, he may be impeached.justice story: impeachment is attended -- is intended for occasional and extraordinary cases where a superior power acting for the whole people is put into operation to protect their rights and rescue their liberties from violations. we know about the huston plan. we know about the break-in of the psychiatrist#39;s office. we know that there was absolute complete direction on september 3rd when the president indicated that a surreptitious entry had been made in dr. fielding#39;s office, after having met with mr. ehrlichman and mr. young. protect their rights. rescue their liberties from violation.the carolina ratification convention impeachment criteria: those are impeachable who behave amiss or betray their public trust.4 beginning shortly after the watergate break-in and continuing to the present time, the president has engaged in a series of public statements and actions designed to thwart the lawful investigation by government prosecutors. moreover, the president has made public announcements and assertions bearing on the watergate case, which the evidence will show he knew to be false. these assertions, false assertions, impeachable, those who misbehave. those who behave amiss or betray the public trust.分钟优秀英语演讲稿篇四i#39;m jim.i#39;m 13 years old and i study in no.1 middle school.my school is very beautiful.every morning i get up at seven and have breakfast.and then i go to school at half past seven.lessons begin at eight o#39; clock. we have four lessons in the morning and chinese is my favourite lesson.we usually have 10 minute#39;s break between two lessons and at about 12 o#39;ciock we finish our morning lessons.i have lunch at school at twelve thirty.i like schooi lunch and i always have rice with meat and vegetables.after lunch i often talk with my friends or play basketball with them.in the afternoon lessons start at half past one and finish at four o#39;ciock.i play games after school with my friends and then go home at half past four.in the evening i do my homework and then watch tv.at ten o#39;分钟英语演讲稿篇五My hometown is in Shaanxi, where there are many specialties and scenery.Although Shaanxi cuisine has not entered the eight major cuisines of China, themutton paomo and Qishan saozi noodles in Shaanxi are very good. My favorite moment of the year. It’s a genuine day of dreams: in the student section, dreams of new careers, marriage, children, new adventures. In the parents’ seating, dreams of what to do with that disposable income they’re no longer sending to West Lafayette. All in all, a day like no other. My own dreams about today sometimes are more like nightmares. What to say that’s fitting – that’s meaningful but still concise enough to get us on to the main event quickly? Hardest of all, what to say that’s the least bit original? While dreaming, or daydreaming, about today, I found myself thinking about Purdue Pete. Again, this year, Pete was ranked among the most identified college mascots in the country, and the favorite in our Big Ten Conference.A few years before your class arrived on campus, someone tried to redo Pete and turn him into some new symbol of our school. I wasn’t here, either, but as told to me, the idea started an immediate backlash, a near-riot, and died within days. I got to thinking about "why?"Maybe part of it was his uniqueness. At my last count, there were 64 Eagles, 46 Tigers, and 33 Wildcats among college mascots. But there’s only one set of Boilermakers. But I think our attachment to Pete stems mainly from the way he personifies our self-image of strength. When our up-and-coming football program chose its slogan for this year, it was "Only the strong." One of the year’s YouTube sensations featured a five-foot-nine Purdue player squatting 600 pounds. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.Always put yourself in the other#39;s shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless. The happiest of people don#39;t necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you#39;re the one smiling and everyone around you is crying. There was once a guy who suffered from cancer, a cancer that can?#39;t be cured. He was 18 years old and he could die anytime. All his life, he was stuck in his house being taken cared by his mother. He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once. So he asked his mother and she gave him permission. He walked down his block and found a lot of stores. He passed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked. He stopped and went back to look into the store. He saw a beautiful girl about his age and he knew it was love at first sight. He opened the door and walked in, not looking at anything else but her. He walked closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk where she sat.。

Confucius the famous educatorin ancient China also said: if I learn the Classical literature "Yi" from the age of 50 I would never make so many mistakes. To sum up Necessity of lifelong learning is mainly based on the following reasons: First of all the knowledge of modern society changes so quickly if not to learn new knowledge in time you will soon fall behind the times. For example using the mobile Internet technology we can using a mobile phone to book a taxi pay various fees buy all kinds of goods etc. if a person may not grasp the knowledge especially senior people they will not use the convenience brought by Internet.Secondly diligent in thinking can effectively prevent the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease. 英语演讲稿:英语学习演讲稿3篇【英语学习演讲稿】good afternoon ,everybody! i’m very happy to stand here ,are you happy?
但是我相信大家一定能成功的走完这一段路,而且会走的更远!have you been frustrated about english ? have you been sad because of your terrible grades? have you made a decision to study english ? if your answer is yes ,all right, congratulation on the first step that you go. 的确啊,提到这个问题,我也能理解大家的心情,看着那么多的单词,一篇篇的英语课文,的确是很难,难道我们真的会被它难住吗?yes or no ? no!!ok,very good, you must believe you are the best !
毕竟 no pains, no gains。
最后我要告诉大家一个英语考试得高分的法宝,下次想考好的同学注意啦,学好英语的秘密就是:坚持,坚持,再坚持!thank you !《英语学习的痛苦或快乐》英文演讲稿英语学习演讲稿 | 返回目录in the modern society study english is becoming more important and popular. but when i was young, i didn’t know of this and prefer to play outside rather than learn english. but my mother said :“english is the necessary tools to talk with foreigners, so you should study in an english class. believe yourself, you can certainly study english well!”finally i agreed my mom’s opinion and began to study ladder english when i was five.at the beginning i was happy to study, because it was fun in the english class. we played games, and only studied five words, sentence a time. we also learned to sing a lot of english songs. in this studying environment, i was interested in english for the first time.when i was in grade two, my mother thought that i should study english formally, so she let me study in the class of teacher ye of young palace of beijing. in her class i began to learn the new concept english and touched the grammar for the first time. teacher ye let us practice the oral english, listening and writing.although i should remember much more words than before and had to practice listening and writing every day, and must take the crowded bus to school for two hours every week, i was very happy because i could learn much knowledge that not taught in school.with my mother and teacher’s encouragement and teaching, i studied very hard and won many prize in the competition. when i was in grade four, i passed pets 1 with the score of 88 of writing, and 5 of oral english, and i passed pets 2 in grade five. i was very happy and excited because i had the experience of talking with foreigners, and even used english to help some people when they met the communication problem. i was also very proud when the foreignup till now, i have been studied english for about 6 years. i deeply realize the importance of learning english. i will continue to study in the future, and i really appreciate my mother and my english teacher, too. this year beijing will host the XX olympic games, i believe that master english well will certain help me to do some useful work for this olympics.
