Analysis of Teaching Materials (教学内容分析)This is the second period of unit 3, and I will teach close reading, First Impressions. The reading article, in the form of an email, tells that a boy named Li Qiang won a prize to take a time travel trip to the world in 3008 and talked about his impressions on the future. It is full of imaginary things about the changes of people’s daily life in the future, which include the traffic, housing, and so on, leading students to ponder on the differences between the present world and the future. In addition, the grammar and language points are focused on making predictions and the past participle as the adverbial and attribute.II. The Learners(教学对象分析)1. This is period 2, close reading class. After the warming up section and key words study in period 1, students are familiar with the topic and the key words and expressions in the article.2. Life in the future is an interesting topic that would encourage students to be concerned about the problems that we are facing today and inspire them to think of some creative ways to solve the problems.3. Most of my students are senior students with medium-level and low-level knowledge of high school English grammar and vocabulary, but they are lack of opportunities to practice their speaking skills, so it would be hard for them to talk about their thoughts in full English sentences.III.
