We often discussed the development of China’s f utures industry as well as price fluctuation of world’s futures market. The natural orderof the first 12 elements, discovered approximately 450 years ago, made it possible for the elements to be placed on a chart consisting of rows and columns, such that elements sharing a column were discovered to have similar characteristics. This led Russian scientist Dmitry Mendeleyev to predict the existence of the element with the atomic number 32, germanium, as well as its colour, weight, density, and melting point. The predicted elements have since been discovered and I was greatly marvelled at this feat amongst many others. My interest in chemistry has been further stimulated as I have continued to learn more about the characteristics of the individual elements, the nature of their atoms, and how they form familiar chemical compounds that are particularly critical to the existence of life and the practice of medicine.Arriving at the decision to study Applied Chemistry took me quite some time. This was because I was determined to find out where my interests really lie as I excelled in most of my Science subjects. However, I knew that I love experimenting in Chemistry and also that it is one of my favourite subjects. I dutifully attended a number of career sessions and open days for science subjects at various universities, and the ones focussing on Chemistry left a lastingimpression on me. Also, I took time to visit one or two commercial chemistry-oriented laboratories in my area to talk with the chemists there. Their experiences have reinforced my love for the subject. Of course, to realize the goal is not easy and need a long time effort. But, as long as I work hard, this goal will be to near me step by step. Reading a great number of literatures is my first task to makes me standing on the shoulder of others. Thus, I can obtain enough knowledge about the field of my direction, and then make sure that the consequent work is necessary. Mean while, summing up the experimental methods, analytical measure, traditional concept and new idea about experimental phenomenon is more important, which could give me a more systematized and comprehensive insight. To master relevant laboratory equipment is another important thing I should do. Though I can find the operator to assist me, no matter what, he or she can’t be more aware of mine experiment. Only the equipment operated by myself, can I ensure that the experiment to get the best results. Absolutely, only the actual action makes idea reality.
Therefore, after forming idea of myself, doing relevant experiment is necessary to verify, negate the idea or find some new idea and conclusion. When obtain new interesting discoveries and idea, I will write some paper to share with other scientific researcher.
As a young boy, I like sports especially basketball. Plying basketball gives me a lesson that the team cooperation may be most important and no one can do everything. I enjoy being trusted by my team and willing to trust others. Besides, traveling in someplace with beautiful scenery is not a bad choice for it can let me relaxed and happy. I love learning and every acquisition of new knowledge drives me to learn more. Like other child, I dream of becoming a scientist who is standing in the nearest place from the god and leads the progress of science and technology when I was young and I have been toward this goal. With the deepening of the study, my enthusiasm to science has never been reduced. In contrast doing research to find, explain and use the rule of the objective world almost makes me creasy.
However, I realize that just being a postgraduate is far from enough to achieve my goal. Therefore, to further my study in your university as a doctoral student is a good choose. If accepted, my intended professional direction also would be Material science and engineering.
