Nowadays many young people inwork force change their jobs or careers every few years. What do you think arethe reasons for this? Do the advantages out-weight disadvantages?

当下社会,持续并且快速的社会变革使得年轻人经常更换工作,甚至尝试不同种类的工作。究其原因,是技术的变革,以及年轻人对于生活的态度所共同导致的。

Theconstant change of the world has led to the alteration in terms of people’sjobs and occupation life. The multi-career even gains increasing popularityamong Young adults. From the in-depth observation, this trend is triggered bothby the technology innovation and work philosophy hold by the new generation.

首先,社会发展带来了更加灵活的工作方式。当代年轻人很难理解终身只做一份工作。相反,他们更倾向于通过频繁的跳槽来尝试各种新鲜事物,并且从中获得不同的感受. 尤其是在互联网技术,交通技术等变革使得年轻人有很高程度的自如度。我们甚至并不局限于在一个地方工作。我们早上在东京吃早饭,还能按时参加下午在北京的公司会议。

Inthe first place, social developments have brought about a more flexible workstyle. It will be really demanding to imagine any point of getting retired fromthe place where their career got initiated.

Instead, they are more eager to trynew things and gain fresh experience from frequent job-hopping, from whichtheir life could be made more colorful and diversified. Specifically, the rapidprogress of internet and transport technology makes it possible for people to possessa high degree of mobility. In other words, we are not confined to working inone place as we did in the past. Indeed it is not a rarity that we havebreakfast in Tokyo but conference punctually in the afternoon in Beijing.

另一个重要的推动力来源于人们对于生活,对于金钱的追求态度的变化。正如通常在职场中原则“人往高处走”。在一个低福利保障的国家,人们换工作的首要动机是为了更高的薪水。对那些企业忠诚度不高的员工看来,如果其他公司给出更诱人的薪酬,就是要离职的时候。

Inthe second place, another imperative motivation to the changing jobs or careersderives from the attitudes towards money and life. In most cases, change theirjobs for higher salary as long as striving forward forever is the most acceptedoccupational principles. As for the employees in the poor welfare countries, ifone can get a more appealing offer from some other employer, what is the pointof staying in the original one.

通过跳槽,员工可以形成更加准确和成熟的职业态度,也不容易在日益变化中被随意影响。尽管不断的跳槽一部分是由于过度的迷茫

所导致,但是这是朝着一个更加自由和更加高质量的生活的趋势,通过更加市场和商业化的手段来进行调节而实现的社会进步。Onlyby job-hopping, people may form a more precise and mature attitudes towards thecareer and thus not being carried away by this ever-changing fickle world. Althoughjob-hopping can be partly attributed to temporary confusing and perplexing, itis mainly heading for a highly mobilized and high-qualified lifestyle which canbe accomplished by marketing and commercial methods.

企业也可以获益颇多。因为员工的离职也能反映出公司的福利待遇的欠缺竞争力。因此可以通过建立清晰透明的上升阶梯,相关的职业培训尤其是职业伦理和责任感的培养。企业要通过不断调整才能获得更强的市场竞争力。

Asfor companies, they can benefit a lot as well. Frequent

job-hopping byemployees indicates the incompetence in the corporation welfare. ThereforeCompanies should take up an inescapable responsibility through providing alltheir employers with a clear and transparent ladder of promotion, training injob ethics and a sense of responsibility, as well as sufficient benefits inorder to alleviate employee’s impulse s of leaving. By doing so, corporationshave achieved high competence in marketing through continuous adjustment.
