教材分析:本单元的中心话题是“奥运会”――世界上最重要的体育盛会,通过本单元的学习,使学生了解奥运会的起源、宗旨以及比赛项目,同时介绍了一些古代希腊神话传说和其中的一些著名人物。

本节课是对本单元进行教材重组之后的第2课时,阅读课――an interview 通过一个虚拟的采访向学生介绍了古代和现代奥运会的异同及奥运会的一些基本情况。

教学目标:本课为阅读型课,主要是通过阅读材料让学生抓住要点获取(1)知识目标:熟悉并掌握一些新词及短语的用法。

(2)能力目标:通过本节课的学习培养学生快速寻找文章细节、归纳和总结的阅读能力。

(3)情感目标:让学生熟悉奥运会的有关知识,并引发其兴趣,从而培养其民族自豪感和参与竞争的意识,增强其民族荣辱观,激发起强大的爱国主义精神。

1.2 Pre-Reading通过学生对三个问题的讨论与交流,使他们了解奥运会有关知识。
