Westlife was an Irish boy band formed in 1998. In 2012，after finishing their farewell tour, they disbanded.The group's line-up was Shane, Mark, Kian, and Nicky. Brian was part of the group until 2004. Shane is my favorite singer, and I think Nicky is the most handsome boy in this group. Westlife has sold over 45 million records worldwide. I think they are the greatest singers in the world.Westlife's first break came in 1998 when they opened for Boyzone and Backstreet Boys in Dublin. In April 1999, the group released their first single, "Swear It Again" which immediately topped the charts in Ireland and in UK for two weeks.The group have accumulated 14 number-one singles in the United Kingdom, the third-highest in UK history, and 26 top ten singles over their 14-year career. Despite their worldwide success, Westlife had been unable to break into the US market, having only one U.S. hit single, "Swear It Again", which peaked in 2000.Westlife's music evolved from teen pop to a pop sound, with an emphasis on ballads. Westlife was known for their teen pop songs during their early days. Some of their famous albums are Westlife, Coast to Coast, World of Our Own and Turnaround. Some of their famous songs are “Flying without wings”,” You raise me up”, and “home”.I am the biggest fan they will ever have. Saying 'I like their songs' would be an insult to them. I would rather say that I live for their songs. Their songs encouraged me when I was thinking about leaving home. I wish they could continue to inspire people like me with their touching songs. The one thing I wish to do before I die is to take a group photo with them. • However, things are not always easy. In 2004, just two weeks before their forthcoming tour, one of members Brian decided to leave the band, so that he could have more time to spend with him family. It was such a shock, both to other boys and fans, but they all respected his decision and were appreciated his contribution. After a short press conference, Brian was officially, publicly, no longer in Westlife.T
There was a huge pressure on the rest four members, and the rumors that Westlife would break up were all around. Obvious, it’s a tough time for them, but the boys didn’t give in, didn’t want it to end and stuck to the tour, which was one of the most brilliant tours of Westlife. They weren’t satisfied with that, still recorded the songs and held more tours.

About Brian’s leaving
Bryan McFadden left the band on 9 March 2004 to devote more of his time to solo projects as well as his family life. If the loss of a member usually means the beginning of the end for pop bands, this was not the case with Westlife.
