I.Analysis of the teaching contents:
This is the first period of Module 1.The important points are learning the new words and expressions of P1 and trying to understand how to ask someone’s age. Hopefully the children can learn from the chants games and TPR.
II.Analysis of the teaching aims.
1.Be able to understand the new words and new expressions.
2.Be able to know the drills of asking age.

3.Be able to make sentences with the new words.
III. Teaching procedure.
1.Warming –up
1). Sing a birthday song to Miss Liao
2). Learn to read two chants
a .“My birthday” b. “Candle and candy”
3). To tell the teaching aim
Today we’ll talk about the “age” and “birthday”
2.Pre – task
1). Presentation (point to the candles on the cake)
T: How to ask someone’s age?
P: How old are you?

T: Yesterday was my birthday. Do you want to know what happened in my birthday party?
(板书:birthday party)
4) Teach “birthday party” and practice
5) Presentation (show a picture of “birthday party”)

6) Teach “birthday cake candle balloon candy. party hat” with the objects.
7) Practice (one by one or by groups)

P: Father mother sister and friends.

9) Teach the words above and practice.

The second period
I. Analysis of the teaching contents.
This is the second period of module 1. The important points are learning unit 1 and doing some practice. Hope fully the children can learn from the songs, chants and games.
