If you make a five-trip across the Atlantic Ocean , your ship come into a different time zone every day. As you come into each zone, the time changes one hour. If you travel west, you set your watch back. If you travel east, you set it ahead. Each day of your trip has either twenty-five or twenty-three hours.

Think about the last time you felt a negative emotion—like stress, anger, or frustration. What was going through your mind as you were going through that negativity? Was your mind cluttered with (充斥) different kinds of thoughts? Or was it paralyzed, unable to think?
The next time you find yourself in the middle of a very stressful time, or you feel angry or frustrated, stop. Yes, that’s right, stop.Whatever you’re doing, stop and sit for one minute. While you’re sitting there, completely immerse yourself in the negative emotion.
Allow that emotion to consume you. Allow yourself one minute to truly feel that
emotion. Don’t cheat yourself here. Take the entire minute—but only one minute—to do nothing else but feel that emotion.
When the minute is over, ask yourself, “Am I willing to keep holding on to this negative emotion as I go through the rest of the day?”
Once you’ve allowed yourself to be total ly immersed in the emotion and really feel it, you will be surprised to find that the emotion clears rather quickly.
If you feel you need to hold on to the emotion for a little longer, that is OK. Allow yourself another minute to feel the emotion.
When you feel you’ve had enough of the emotion, ask yourself if you’re willing to carry that negativity with you for the rest of the day. If not, take a deep breath. As you exhale, release all that negativity with your breath.
This exercise seems simple—almost too simple. But, it is very effective. By allowing that negative emotion the space to be truly felt, you are dealing with the emotion rather than stuffing it down and trying not to feel it. You are actually taking away the power of the emotion by giving it the space and attention it needs. When you immerse yourself in the emotion, and realize that it is only emotion, it loses its control. You can clear your head and proceed with your task.
59. What should you do when you are into negativity according to the article?
A. Listen to some music.
B. Ignore it and do something else.
C. Just do nothing and truly feel that emotion.
D. Think about it and try to deal with it immediately.

61. What’s the best title of this text?
A. Clear Your Mental Space.
B. Deep Breath, Trouble Away.
C. Try to Avoid the Negative Emotion.
D. Keep Holding on to This Negative Emotion as Long as Possible.
62. The author’s opinion towards negative emotion is _____.
A. doubtful

President Barack Obama has complained about the loss of privacy that comes with being leader of the United States, regretting the loss of simple pleasures such as a long walk or a trip to the car wash or supermarket.

Today, kids have more worries and face more pressures than ever before. Here are
a few tips to help your child focus on and do well in school.
●Create a personal schedule
Recording everyt hing that must be done on a calendar or “to do” list will help him to keep track of important dates and deadlines. If he keeps it in a visible place he will have no problem acknowledging upcoming events and will be better able to plan how and where to spend his time.
●Watch the clock
72 I also recommend setting his clock or watch five minutes ahead since it's always easy to run late. When it comes to something like catching a bus, just five minutes can make a significant difference.
●Focus
He should train himself to be able to concentrate alone on one specific task. This is much easier in a noisefree environment. No TV or radio should be on to distract him.
●73
Lack of sleep is proven to harm us physically. The more sleep we get,the more alert we are. We thus have more energy to handle life's daily tasks. The average adult needs at least six hours of sleep a night and the average child needs at least eight.
●Stay in shape
Through spending time outdoors or playing sports with friends,he can “blow off some steam” so to speak,as well as reenergize.74
●Talk through your problems
Be able to share his concerns with you. 75 If you make it clear that you understand him and are willing to help, not only will you contribute to his emotional health but you'll help build an open and honest relationship as well.
A.Sharing feelings often makes them easier to deal with.
B.Help your child work better to realize his aim.
C.Setting an alarm for the morning is a must.
D.Get enough sleep.
E.Help your child do better in school.
F.Encourage your child to be positive.
G.Encourage him to get outside.

21-25 CBCAA 26-30 CACBC 31-35 ABDCB
完型:
36—40 ADCBA 41—45 DACDA 46—50 CBADA 51—55 DACCA
36. A 由下文“A person who is down-to-earth is easy to talk to…”以及上文的“honest, practical and easy to deal with”可以推断:遇到脚踏实地的人是一件令人惬意的事情。
accept…as“认为……是,把……当作”。
39. B “down-to-earth persons”
41. D consider… to be“认为……是”。
其他选项与句意不符。
42. A 句意为:据说那种自以为是的人常常会毫无理由地趾高气扬。
Be said to do“据说,人们说……”。
Has与上文的“wit h a good understanding of reality”和下文的“He may have dreams”相对应。
48. A block
51. D “such a dreamer can be brought back to earth”这句话中的“can(可能会)”表推测的语气,所以与此相对应的应该是D。
53. C be likely to do sth.“很可能做某事”。
54. C 此空的选项与后一句“we are down-to-earth”相对应,故选C。

Dear Sir,
I’m so grateful for your good service during my stay in Beijing for a tour, but I’m writing to ask a favor to find and sent back my pack which I left in your hotel.
I checked in on Oct, 2 and out on Oct, 6. Setting off in a rush for the station, I left the pack in Room 301. It’s a medium-sized, blue, leather backpack which contains some books that are wanted in reviewing NMET, a white iPod of special edition, a credit card and some cash. All in the pack matter to me, especially the iPod, a precious gift from my father on my 18th birthday. So much do I cherish it that I feel upset for its loss.
If you find it, would you please post it to me? The return address is on the envelope.
I’ll appreciate it very much if you can give me your earliest reply and thank you for anything you can do for me.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
