大学生要学会独立

College students ought to be independent . Entering college , we are not children anymore. We need to learn how to take care of ourselves instead of hidding under our parents’ shelters. We need to learn how to be independent both physically and mentally.

However, here lies the sad truth, a large number of college students are not capable of taking good care of themselves. Leaving parents and going to school far away from home, they let go of themselves.

They skip classes. They do not know from to wash their clothes and complain about it to their parents. They stay at the dorms and play computer games all day long. They do not know how to keep their desks nice and neat and everything around them is always messy.Above all, they feel homesick and do not know what to do about it and waste off the rest of their college life. These are all signs of being not independent.We can do these when we are still kids. People will forgive us since we are

too”young”. Though as soon as we enter college, everything has changed. We are no langer high school kids. We are, and we shall be, responsible young adults. This is what the society expects from us. This is we should be!

So now, take the wheel, my dear friends.

Be an independent young adult.

Be an independent person!

Be responsible for yourself!

Before you make a decision, think twice. Do not go to your parents all the time and act like a crying baby. Do not call back home a million times a day.

You shall make your own decision and take the responsibility after making the choice. Do not regret if it turns out awful. Do not blame your parents because it’s your decision, your thing, not your parents’ . Feel proud if you did make the correct choice.

Clean your desk, make your bed because your parents are not going to clean it for you anymore.

Most importantly, tell yourself one important thing.

I am an adult !

I am independent !

I make my own decision!

Do not for a time think , I am still a kid and is okay to rely on parents. I can be independent later.
