We watched an amazing 3D movie about deep sea exploration that made me want to be a marine biologist when I grow up.On our second-to-last day at the beach, we signed up for a kayaking tour into the salt marsh estuary. It was so peaceful and quiet out on the glassy water, with herons and egrets wading in the shallow pools. Our guide taught us about the delicate marsh ecosystem and how important it is for baby marine animals. We didn't see any dolphins this time, but we did spot a harmless shark pup swimming under our kayaks! That evening, I insisted we have a beach campfire and make s'mores. There's nothing quite like a fire-toasted, gooey marshmallow sandwich!All too soon, it was our last morning at the beach. I woke up early to watch the sunrise, treasuring my final quiet moments of taking in the salty sea breeze and crashing waves. As much as I complained about leaving, I knew I'd have the memories andphotos to look back on until next year's trip.
