• For hundreds of years, Africans were taken from their homes to be slaves in the New World. Even George Washington and Thomas Jefferson had slaves. The phrase "all men are created equal" didn't apply to blacks in their day. The end of the Civil War finally brought freedom to the slaves in 1865, but blacks still had a lower position in society. Blacks and whites went to different schools, ate at different restaurants, even drank from different water fountains
• In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white man. Martin Luther King Jr. encouraged black people to use nonviolent means to achieve their goals of equal treatment. Finally, Congress passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to stop discrimination in all public places.

Housing inequality
Housing inequality is another manifestation of racial discrimination.
In the United States, residents of different races have significant differences in housing choices, rent, and housing prices. Black and Latinx Americans often live in less ideal communities, facing higher housing costs and fewer opportunities.

用英语反击种族歧视演讲稿
用英语反击种族歧视演讲稿As we gather here today, I want to address a topic that has plagued our society for far too long – the issue of racial discrimination. It is a topic that has caused pain and suffering for countless individuals, and it is time for us to take a stand and speak out against it.Racial discrimination is the belief that one race is superior to another, and it often leads to unfair treatment and opportunities for people of certain races. This kind of discrimination can take many forms, from subtle microaggressions to blatant acts of violence and hate. It is a problem that affects people of all races, but it disproportionately impacts marginalized communities, particularly people of color. We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to this issue. We cannot continue to allow racial discrimination to fester and grow within our society. It is our responsibility to confront it head-on and work towards a more inclusive and equitable world for all.So how can we fight back against racial discrimination? It starts with education and awareness. We must educate ourselves and others about the harmful effects of discrimination and the importance of embracing diversity. We must also be willing to have difficult conversations about race and privilege, and be open to learning from the experiences of others. In addition to education, we must also take action to address systemic inequalities. This means advocating for policies and practices that promote equality and justice for all. It means holding individuals and institutions accountable for their discriminatory behavior. It means standing up for those who are being oppressed and marginalized. But perhaps most importantly, we must lead by example. We must strive to be allies and advocates for those who are facing discrimination. We must use our voices and our platforms to amplify the voices of those who are being silenced. We must actively work to create spaces that are inclusive and welcoming for people of all races. In conclusion, the fight against racial discrimination is a collective effort that requires all of us to do our part. It is not enough to simply be non-racist – we must actively work to be anti-racist. We must be willing to challenge our own biases and prejudices, and we must be committed to creating a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race.Together, we can and must work to create a future free from racial discrimination. Thank you.。
