Preface

The purpose of the NVIDIA®CUDA™roll is to install and configure the device driver and full tool chain necessary to run and develop CUDA programs on a Rocks+™cluster.

This release includes the CUDA toolkit version3.2.16,SDK version3.2.16,and driver version260.19.26.

Notes:

a.Default value created using rocks add appliance attr{compute,login}name value and only affects the compute,login appliances.

b.Default value created using rocks add appliance attr compute name value and only affects the compute appliances.

cuda_dev

If TRUE then install the NVIDIA CUDA compilers,libraries,and SDK.The cuda_exec attribute must also be set to TRUE to enable the CUDA driver.

cuda_exec

If TRUE then install the NVIDIA CUDA driver.

Chapter3.Requirements and Compatibility

3.1.Hardware

Using CUDA requires CUDA capable devices be installed in the compute nodes.CUDA capable devices include the graphics cards in the NVIDIA G8x series and beyond and all NVIDIA®Tesla™products.Please visit
