Discussing media-induced stereotypes
Movies and TV series, and sometimes even news reports, are criticized for inducing or enhancing stereotypes. For example, in many Hollywood movies, black people are often depicted as being good at sports, rapping or dancing, and the audience might believe that’s what black people should be like.
