优美英语散文短篇篇1Relish the Moment.Tucked away in our subconsciousness is an idyllic vision. We see ourselves on a long trip that spans the continent. We are traveling by train. Out the windows, we drink in the passing scene of cars on nearby highways, of children waving at a crossing, of cattle grazing on a distant hillside, of smoke pouring from a power plant, of row upon row of corn and wheat, of flatlands and valleys, of mountains and rolling hills, of city skylines and village halls. But uppermost in our minds is the final destination. On a certain day at a certain hour, we will pull into the station. Bands will be playing and flags waving. Once we get there, so many wonderful dreams will come true and the pieces of our lives will fit together like a completed jigsaw puzzle. How restlessly we pace the aisles, damning the minutes for loitering - waiting, waiting, waiting for the station.“When we reach the station, that will be it!” we cry. “When I’m 18.” “When I buy a new 450SL Mercedes Benz.” “When I put the last kid through college.” “When I have paid off the mortgage.” “When I get a promotion.” “When I reach the age of retirement, I shall live happily ever after!”Sooner or later, we must realize that there is no station, no one place to arrive at once and for all. The true joy of life is the trip. The station is only a dream. It constantly out distances us.“Relish the moment” is a good motto, especially when coupled with Psalm 118:24: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” It isn’t the burdens of today that drive men mad. It is the regret over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. Regret and fear are twin thieves who rob us of today. So stop pacing the aisles and counting the miles. Instead, climb more mountains, eat more icecream, go barefoot more often, swim more rivers, watch more sunset, laugh more and cry less. Life must be lived as we go along. Then the station will come soon enough.优美英语散文短篇篇2I was six years old, my sister, Sally Kay, was a submissive three-year-old girl. For some reasons, I thought we needed to earn some money. I decided we should "hire out" as maids. We visited the neighbors, offering to clean houses for them for a quater cents. Reasonable as our offer was, there were no takers. But one neighbor telephoned my mother to let her know what Mary Alice and Sally Kay were doing.Mother had just hung up the phone when we came first into the back door into the kitchen of our apartement. "Girls," mother asked, "why were you two going around the neighborhood telling people you would clean their houses?" Mother wasn't angry with us. In fact, we learned afterwards she was amused that we had came up with such an idea. But, for some reason, we both denied having done any such thing. Shocked and terribly hurt that her dear little girls could be such "boldfaced liars" . Mother then told us that Mrs. Jones had just called and told her we had been to her house and said we would clean it for a quater cents .Faced with the truth, we admitted what we had done. Mother said we have fibed, we have not told the truth. She was sure that we knew better. She tried to explain why a fib hurt, but she didn't feel that we really understood.Years later, she told us that the lesson she came up with for trying to teach us to be truthful would probably have been found upon by child psychologists. The idea came to her in a flash, and a tender-hearted mother told us it was the most difficult lesson she ever taught us. It was a lesson we never forgot. After admonishing us, mother cheerfully begain preparing for lunch. As we monching on sandwhiches, she asked:" Would you two like to go to see the movies this afternoon?""Wow, would we ever?" We wondered what movie would be playing. Mother said:"The Matinee"."Oh, fatastic! We would be going to see The Matinee, would we lucky?" We got bathed and all dressed up. It was like getting ready for a birthday party. We hurried outside the apartment, not wanting to miss the bus that would take us downtown. On the landing, Mom stunned us by saying, "Girls, we are not going to the movies today." We didn't hear her right."What?" we objected. "What do you mean? Aren't we going to The Matinee? Mommy, you said that we are going to the Matinee. " Mother stooped and gathered us in her arms. I couldn't understand why there were tears in her eyes. We still had the time to get the bus, but hugging us, she gently explained this is a fib felt like. "It is important that what we say is true ," Mom said. "I fibbed to you just now and it felt awful to me. I don't ever want to fib again and I'm sure you don't want to fib again either. People must be able to believe each others. Do you understand? "We assured her that we understood. We would never forget. And since we had learned a lesson, why not go to the movie to see The Matinee. There were still time. Not today. Mother told us. We would go another time. That is how over fifty years ago, my sister and I learned to be truthful. We have never forgotten how much a fib can be hurt.优美英语散文短篇篇3If life is a river, it is the most exciting is that a section of |.Flowing a trickle of childhood, life began to restlessness, personality spray, a piece after piece of Pentium the melody of youth. It is surging, it's always a time of the wild and intractable, slap embankment, heaving ship of life.As an individual, water is gentle and weak, often easily conquered by other objects. As group. The water is tough, it can constantly wear stone, without fear of breaking off the mountains. So, water is the most talked about team spirit. Its initial exploration may be blind, but once it determines the future direction of its own, it will not hesitate to rush up, in the earth sketched out a trail of pioneers.A hedge between keeps friendship green. It is not big, it has a strong vitality, with flexible ways of showing the wisdom of waves, Jianxi, lakes, rivers, oceans, and even people's sweat and the eyes are the soul of the container. It corrects the coordinates of human relationships with detachment. So water is a gentleman in all things. We often say that only refers to the negative Fire and water have no mercy., it. As the source of all things, water is the most selfless, no matter where the creator sends it, it has no regrets. It enables life to continue, so that the mountains and rivers full of spirituality, with all things side by side to withstand the sun stillcan consume, together with the air to maintain the human emotions. The water of youth has never been so many scruples and rules and regulations, once the old river bed can not break the outbreak of youth, will break through the shackles, and create a new channel. Its thorough reflection of the world's bright, its simplicity is often easy to cause sediment mixed, its courage to frighten the road ahead of the trip stone, its unruly and often hurt innocent. Simple and complex intertwined, creation and destruction of the same life, this is the youth, a fast and colorful journey of life.Because the vibrant air peiran, so it often makes people worried about the fragile and even collapse. However, the youth of the river is never stop, despite the rapids reefs stop, stop it without determination. Conform to the laws of nature, mercilessly destroy waves after the waves did not figure, and so will most willing to to assist waves together into the distance. Some people love in fact he did not see the placid in smooth water, the role and value of youth, not experienced fighting waves of pleasure. The charm of youth lies in the strong and fierce, without the dynamic world will be stagnant water, life will be insipid.Due to constraints, is not a drop of water can be agitated in the flood, not every river can HAOGE thousands of miles into the sea, have not yet landed was ruthlessly evaporated, some were artificially waste. Even so, it can't change its youthful personality.Jianxi can stay, after all the sea waves are. Because the drops of water to the sea of ambition, only the eternal flow of historical torrential rivers. It will not be small because of its own small drops of inferiority, nor because of the rise of dams and convergence ofpublicity personality. When the energy is slowing down, looking at the waves rolling behind it, it will proudly say: "my youth once was like this."优美英语散文短篇篇4An ancient Hebraic text says:" love is as strong as death". It seems that not everyone experiences this kind of strong love. The increasing probably, crime and war tells us that the world is in indispensable need of true love. But what is true love?Love is something we all need. But how do we know when we experience it?True love is best seen as the promotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based how we feel.Certainly our emotions are involved. But they cannot be our only criteria for love.True love is when you care enough about another person that you will lay down your life for them. When this happens, then love truly is as strong as death. How many of you have a mother, or father, husband or wife, son or daughter or friend who would sacrifice his or her own life on yours? Those of you who truly love your spells but unchildren, would unselfishly lay your life on the line to save them from death? Many people in an emergency room with their loved ones and prayed"please, God,take me instead of them".Find true love and be a true lover as well.May you find a love which is not only strong as death, but to leave to a truly for feeling life.优美英语散文短篇篇5During the summer vacation, I went to Beijing with my grandparents to participate in the summer camp for the final composition of the cupOn the evening of July 13, 20xx, as the "persistence" inspirational speech on the theme of the meeting, Zhang Liyongon its own as an example, around the time, courage, adhere to the "six words, with the language of chastity, introduced us to his own journey from a high of two to drop out of school because of poverty students, from a migrant workers, an ordinary chef, in the belief under the support of a few decades to learn English by self-study, English test, TOEFL 630 points made remarkable achievements, completed a life beyond the story is unforgettable.Zhang Liyong teacher said: "when I am studying, the biggest difficulty is someone laugh at my toad. But today seems to be unable to do so, the ears of birds, by twos and threes is sparse, not the style of the past. Get a look at the balcony area with a thin layer of water, it became the hope for a long time, the rain has quietly from the dream of, without a trace of wind, quietly falling in the balcony, garden, give me joy, bring a morning.Standing on the balcony, the habit of looking toward the East sky, in the past, there is the illusion of region, today, was relieved of rain heavy makeup, a rare white makeup. The rain washed Lai mountain, showing a dark green before the ink is dry. A mountain, also learn Qian Tang wave shape, from the sky, turning forward and downward wrapped, will be a mountain as the wye. The largemountains on the southwest side are also connected by clouds and fog. They are running aimlessly around the mountain under the direction of the wind, and they are covered with a thin mass, like a crumpled yarn, which covers the large mountains. Along the ridge, there is a big windmill, with only a faint blade of wind in the clouds, far away, like the artifact that stirs the sea of clouds. The rain was so low-key and soft, but it was very unexpected. In this area the sands Jianggan hot valley, the weather has always been as hot tempered temper upright man, it was a sunny sunny, cloudless; rain, just under the doctrine of the mean, it is never jifengzhouyu! Character, because, in its chest hall, in addition to coal, iron is. But anyway, it's so soft and occasional, it's very good for me.Downstairs banyan tree, for three years, in the M care, now, has returned to the two floor restaurant a window shade, four seasons cool. Yesterday is a tree full of birds, cicadas, today, do they have to run where rain, leaving a window the rain entangles in the ear.Banana, is the ancient rain liangpeng. For those fond memories of childhood, also for the rain beat the rhythm of the banana, last year deliberately from the farmland for a plant, now is already the five son around the knee. Large slender banana leaves, natural long side faces a zithers, spread into the air, as if waiting for such a rainy season, waiting for God's hand to get Xu light bomb. Think of the "rain beat banana" that you've been thinking about, and why don't you listen carefully and see if you can hear a little bit of poetry?. So, I was leaning out of the window, to the ear that a fine rain, tell which is a rhyme from rain, unfortunately, T eana is not easily leaked to the laity. It will be a little closer, distance closer? I put Kampuchea back to theupstream of the palm leaf hat, who came to the tree from the back door close to run a few steps, and this maner is rain in the dry brown leaf on the crackling rain as voiceless, dry Dutch general sounds. It seems that this time can not listen to the rain playing banana. It was close to the edge of the papaya tree wax, palm leaved lace slightly involute, from upstairs to see Ye Fangru, a fine dew plate shape. The crystal raindrops fall, it is a careful income intraday, chest stand as respectful nod, a reception for guests like. The moist night rain garden, lawn, a restless state, become green thrown up. Only pine peony some difficult, wore a bulging buds, no sun, it will be like? I'm a little worried about it for. Out a look, such as his pocket like peony flowers open, decorated by raindrops, it has an indescribable charm, from the flower of love arise spontaneously. Hibiscus and Bougainvillea on the side of the road in the rain is still warm, open, Xingxingdiandeng, became a real Rare Rainy day.I thought, the rain sky, a gray, it is lonely. M two surprise call, but let me see another version. As I look down his fingers over the trees looked at low altitude, some brave bird, through ups and downs in the thick rain. "I don't know why they fly in the rain," M said. "Wait a minute and you'll understand.". Sure enough, the bird flight area, I gradually found that there are some imperceptible insects and also wandering in the rain, to take their own lives to lure birds rather baffling. The birds are also quite appreciate, everyone is smart air hunter, they found that flies in circles, aerial reconnaissance fast chase, a mouth, began to look for the next target, again, never. M is the same way, will be standing in the doorway, with his eyes chasing a kite drifting bird. And I sit at the window, with the rain outside the window, read two pages of books, write two lines of words, the heart is also moist.优美英语散文短篇篇7This morning, when I first caught sight of the unfamiliar whitened world, I could not help wishing that we had snow oftener, that English winters were more wintry. How delightful it would be, I thought, to have months of clean snow and a landscape sparkling with frost instead of innumerable grey featureless days of rain and raw winds.I began to envy my friends in such places as the Eastern States of America and Canada, who can count upon a solid winter every year and know that the snow will arrive by a certain date and will remain, without degenerating into black slush, until Spring is close at hand. T o have snow and frost and yet a clear sunny sky and air as crisp as a biscuit - this seemed to me happiness indeed. And then I saw that it would never do for us. We should be sick of it in a week. After the first day the magic would be gone and there would be nothing left but the unchanging glare of the day and the bitter cruel nights. It is not the snow itself, the sight of the blanketed world, that is so enchanting, but the first coming of the snow, the sudden and silent change.Out of the relations, for ever shifting and unanticipated,of wind and water comes a magical event.Who would change this state of things for a steadily recurring round,an earth governed by the calendar? It has been well said that while other countries have a climate, we alone in England have weather. There is nothing duller than climate, which can be converted into a topic only by scientists and hypochondriacs. But weather is our earth's Cleopatra, and it is not to be wondered at that we, who must share her gigantic moods, should be for ever talking about her. Once we were settled in America, Siberia, Australia, where there is nothing but a steady pact between climate and the calendar,we should regret her very naughtinesses, her willful pranks, her gusts of rage, and sudden tears.优美英语散文短篇篇8People often wonder why historians go to so much trouble to preserve millions of books, documents and records of the past. Why do we have libraries? What good are these documents and the history books? Why do we record and save the actions of men, the negotiations of statesmen and the campaigns of armies?Because, sometimes, the voice of experience can cause us to stop, look and listen. And because, sometimes, past records, correctly interpreted, can give us warning of what to do and what not to do.If we are ever to create enduring peace, we must seek its origins in human experience and in the record of human idealism. From the story of the fortitude, courage and devotion of men and women, we create the inspirations of youth. From stories of the ancient cave dwellers right down to today's environmental activists, history records people's success, intelligence and strength. Surely from these records there can come help to mankind in our confusions and promote and in our desires for peace. The supreme purpose of history is a better world. History gives a warning to those who would promote war. History brings inspiration to those who seek peace. In short, history helps us learn. Yesterday's records can keep us from repeating yesterday'smistakes. And from all these records, we can see the progress of mankind.优美英语散文短篇篇9By the end of the lunar calendar, the supermarket in the city was full of exquisite red lanterns, and all kinds of paper-cut were also displayed on the glass windows, which are the symbols of the year, and also the business cards of the year. I am deeply in taste like a fragile old jars were these symbols and name card suddenly shattered, pouring wine with rich mellow taste ran away. When I was young, I looked forward to the new year. I followed my parents, see the candy seller clamoring to buy candy, seeselling firecrackers clamoring to buy firecrackers, see Apple clamoring to buy apple...... My parents agreed and bought me new socks, shoes, hats and clothes, and made me new from head to toe. Parents usually live frugally, pennies. They usually do not buy fruit, do not buy pork, do not buy clothes, and be generous to the new year. When we go home, just like a kangaroo carrying large bags of special purchases for the Spring Festival on the way home, stumbled. My parents are busy in the fields all the year round, and only by the time of the new year they enjoy a few good days. They always give the best to their children. We are a group of crazy kids to sell this shop to buy guns, guns, pull large firecracker fell in my pocket, playing in the Village Lane ran, a gun will readily fall down on the ground, the sound of a sharp crackling sound, scared the general turmoil. We were tired and dug some small pits in the street and played a game of glass balls. So far, I have forgotten the rules of the glass ball game, but remember that I lost the glass ball to the small partner who won the game. When I grew up, I found that there were many mysterious games in the adult world, which were more brutal and deeper than the children's games. If we fail in the game, losing is not the glass ball so not worth mentioning things may be even Months and years pass by. effort, freedom and happiness for all.Our family sat in the kitchen to make dumplings on the afternoon of the thirty day of the year. The mother and the surface, Ganmian skin. A brother. My father and I sat in front of the pot to make dumplings. My brother looked at me and laughed at the dumplings, and said that some of the dumplings I made were like dead fish, some like a fat pig, some like a dumb duck, so ugly. The father took a one - cent coin out of his pocket and wrapped it into the dumplings and said, "whoever eats thisdumpling tonight is the most blessed one." When dusk, firecrackers bombed the village as one falls, another rises, the air was filled with the smell of gunpowder Cecil strands. The mother wrapped dumplings into the boiling water bubbling in the pot. Father with a shovel and a layer of sand in the yard. The sand is the lunar twenty-five tractors from the village of Sha Gang pull back a little bit, dispersion fresh smell atsumi. I have been puzzling over on the thirty people in the village and a layer of sand. In the yard, probably meaning except new year, blessings and fortunes. I stepped on the fresh and moist sand and picked up a red red firecracker with a bamboo pole. Brother from zaotang took a stick to fire lit firecrackers. After a burst of crackling cannons, the mother has a steaming and smell dumplings filled to a white porcelain bowl. A bowl of pork, pork, cabbage and dumplings are dipped in the old vinegar, which is the annual dinner of our family. After the new year's night dinner, the mother always burned a pot of hot water. One family sat on the bench on the foot into an iron bowl with hot feet, feet side side and laughing. The mother said to wash feet a year on New Year's Eve: evil and evil distress. The new year will add to your happiness and your longevity, peace and prosperity. The mother will also put a few new bills in the pocket of me and my brother. She said that whether adults or children, when the old pocket should be rich, so all the year round does not spend money, we will have a good day off too rich. The past year is more like a ritual of delineation of a good life.We can't be lazy in the morning of the first year of the year. We should get up early and wake up consciously, and parents can't wake us up. When the dawn of the village of firecrackers like thunder. I woke up from the bed, his eyes pulled out a cigarette。

正像卢梭所说的,上帝把您造出来后,就把那个属于您的特定的模子打碎了。
Fame, wealth and knowledge are merely worldly possessions that are within the reach of anybody striving for them. But your experience of and feelings about life are your own and not to be shared. No one can live your life over again after your death. A full awareness of this will point out to you that the most important thing in your existence is your distinctive individuality or something special of yours. What really counts is not your worldly success but your peculiar insight into the meaning of life and your commitment to it, which add luster to your personality.名声、财产、知识等等是身外之物,人人都可求而得之,但没有人能够代替您感受人生。

School was only a background to the supreme delight of lessons in music, dance, and dramatics, and the thrill of sojourns in the country, theaters, concerts. And books, big Braille books that came with me on streetcars, to the table, and to bed.
Then one night at a high school dance, a remark, not intended for my ears, stabbed my youthful bliss: "That girl, what a pity she is blind." Blind! 优美英文散文文章优美英文散文文章(精选8篇)优美英文散文文章篇1Though there is much to be concerned about, there is far,far more for which to be thankful.Though life's goodness can at times be overshadowed,it is never outweighed. For every single act that is senselessly destructive, there are thousands more small, quiet acts of love, kindness and compassion. For every person who seeks to hurt, there are many, many more who devote their lives to helping and to healing. There is goodness to life that cannot be denied. In the most magnificent vistas and in the smallest details, look closely, for that goodness always comes shining through. There si no limit to the goodness of life.It grows more abundant with each new encounter. The more you experience and appreciate the goodness of life, the more there is to be lived.Even when the cold winds blow and the world seems to be cov ered in foggy shadows, the goodness of life lives on.Open your eyes, open your heart, and you will see that goodness is everywhere.Though the goodness of life seems at times to suffer setbacks,it always endures. For in the darkest moment it becomes vividly clear that life is a priceless treasure. And so the goodness of life is made even stronger by thevery things that would oppose it.Time and time again when you feared it was gone forever you found that the goodness of life was really only a moment away.Around the next corner, inside every moment, the goodness of life is there to surprise and delight you.Take a moment to let the goodness of life touch your spirit and calm your thoughts. Then, share your good fortune with another. For the goodness of life grows more and more magnificent each time it is given away.Though the problems constantly scream for attention and the conflicts appear to rage ever stronger, the goodness of life grows stronger still, quietly, peacefully, with more purpose and meaning than ever before.优美英文散文文章篇2We are not born with courage, but neither are we born with fear.Maybe some of our fears are brought on by your own experiences,by what someone has told you,by what you've read in the papers. Some fears are valid, like walking alone in a bad part of town at two o'clock in the morning. But once you learn to avoid that situation, you won't need to live in fear of it.Fears, even the most basic ones, can totally destroy our ambitions.Fear can destroy fortunes.Fear can destroy relationships.Fear,if left unchecked, can destroy our lives.Fear is one of the many enemies lurking inside us.Let me tell you about five of the other enemies we face from within. The first enemy that you've got to destroy before it destroys you is indifference. What a tragic disease this is! “Ho-hum,let it slide.I'll just drift along.” Here's one problem with drifting: you can't drift your way to the to of the mountain. The second enemy we face is indecision.Indecision is the thief of opportunity and enterprise. It will steal your chances for a better future.Take a sword to this enemy. The third enemy inside is doubt.Sure, there's room for healthy skepticism. You can't believe everything. But you also can't let doubt take over. Many people doubt the past, doubt the future, doubt each other, doubt the government, doubt the possibilities nad doubt the opportunities.Worse of all, they doubt themselves.I'm telling you, doubt will destroy your life and your chances of success. It will empty both your bank account and your heart.Doubt is an enemy.Go after it.Get rid of it.The fourth enemy within is worry. We've all got to worry some.Just don't let conquer you.Instead, let it alarm you.Worry can be useful. If you step off the curb in New York City and a taxi is coming, you've got to worry. But you can't let worry loose like a mad dog that drives you into a small corner. Here's what you've got to do with your worries: drive them into a small corner.Whatever is out to get you, you've got to get it.Whatever is pushing on you, you've got to push back. The fifth interior enemy is overcaution. It is the timid approach to life.Timidity is not a virtue;it's an illness. If you let it go,it'll conquer you.Timid people don't get promoted. They don't advance and grow and become powerful in the marketplace. You've got to avoid overcaution.Do battle with the enemy.Do battle with your fears.Build your courage to fight what's holding ou back, what's keeping you from your goals and dreams.Be courageous in your life and in your pursuit of the things you want and the person you want to become.优美英文散文文章篇3Abundance is a life style,a way of living your life.It isn't something you buy now and then or pull down from the cupboard, dust off and use once or twice, and then return to the cupboard.Abundance is a philosophy;it appears in your physiology, your value system, and carries its own set of beliefs. You walk with it,sleep with it,bath with it,feel with it,and need to maintain and take care of it as well.Abundance doesn't always require money. Many people live with all that money can buy yet live empty inside.Abundance begins inside with some main self-ingredients,like love, care, kindness and gentleness, thoughtfulness and compassion.Abundance is a state of being. It radiates outward. It shines like the sun among the many moons in the world.Being from the brightness of abundance doesn't allow the darkness to appear or be in the path unless a choice to allow it to.The true state of abundance doesn't have room for lies or games normally played. The space is too full of abundance. This may be a challenge because we still need to shine for other to see.Abundance is seeing people for their gifts and not what they lack or could be.Seeing all things for their gifts and not what they lack.Start by knowing what your abundances are, fill that space with you,and be fully present from that state of being.Your profession of choice is telling you of knowing and possibilities. That is their gift.Consultants and customer service professionals have the ministrative assistants and virtual assistants have an abundance of coordination and time management.Abundance is all around you,and all within.See what it is;love yourself for what it is,not what you're missing,or what that can be better, but for what it is at this present moment.Be in a state of abundance of what you already have.I guarantee they are there;it always is buried but there.Breathe them in as if they are the air you breathe because they are yours.Let go of anything that isn't abundant for the time being.Name the shoe boxes in your closet with your gifts of abundance;pull from them every morning if needed.Know they are there.Learning to trust in your own abundance is required. When you begin to be within your own space of abundance, whatever you need will appear whenever you need it.That's just the way the higher powers set this universe up to work.Trust the universal energy. The knowing of it all will humble you to its power yet let the brightness of you shine everywhere it needs to.Just by being from a state of abundance,it is being you.优美英文散文文章篇4Happiness is universal. It can be found in you,in me,in the simple good fortune of survival.Happiness is a strength that comes from within, the appreciation for the world around us and the love we have for ourselves.Happiness can be found wherever you are.It lies in your bed and sits on your favorite chair.Happiness can be found in life's most simple pleasures like combing your hair or drawing a breath of fresh air.Happiness says she accompanied you to all the placesyou have been and in the future, happiness will pave a splendid path for your journey through life.Happiness is found in all that you have read. All you have learned will emanate from the bottom of your heart.Happiness is an image of this world reflected in your eyes. Its vividness lies not only in the vibrant colors and air but also in the exuberance of your dreams and smiles.Happiness can be found in the love and concern from your parents;happiness can be found in the innocence of your child's eyes.Happiness is the spring swallow's song carried to your ears by a gentle warm breeze.Happiness is a warm smile from a stranger as he passes by.Happiness is the feeling derived from challenges faced and overcome.Happiness is not found in one's destination, but rather on the road to that destination. We are all travelers in life's journey. Our happiness lies not in the future, but in every moment of each day.Happiness is a garden granted by God to every one.You can maintain the garden's beauty as intended by keeping that beauty within your heart.Happiness is derived from our attitude;it is not something that is bought or sold.Happiness is found when we resist temptation, when we maintain our lofty ideals even in the face of adversity.Happiness is a belief in yourself.Happiness is a key with which we open doors to opportunity. It is a code by which we live. You need only reach out to find happiness. With happiness both your heart and soul will be invigorated to achieve more than you ever dreamed and more than you ever thought possible. With happiness in your heart, love blossoms for every one in our life, and the world becomes your home.优美英文散文文章篇5Accustomed to the warm weather in the winter,I always love a sunny day to the sun.Because when there is sunshine,I always feel very good, and I don't know why I'm in a good mood, just see Is there any gauge to measure it? It would be very difficult,of course, trying to advance an absolute standard. However, the significance of one's existence can more or less be rated by examining his attitude toward life and work.Since ancient times all people of accomplishment are very serious about their lives. While they are alive, even if there is only one day left to live, they try to work as hard as they can and learnas much as possible, never letting a single day slip by without any gain. This is true of the working people as well as of the great statesmen and great thinkers in our history. In the chapter “Foods and Goods" of The C hronicles of the Han Dynasty, the great historian Ban Gu states:"In winter people stay indoors.Women get together to spin hemp threads at night. They manage to work forty-five days in a month."”It sounds strange. How come there are forty-five days in a month? Let us look at its annotations given by Yanshigu:"They gain half a day 's time every night and, they have forty-five days in a month."Now it's clear. Our ancestors had, earlier than the westerners, learned how to calculate workdays accurately and reasonably. They had also learned how calculate day shift and night shift as well.It is common knowledge that there are only thirty days in a month.Counting the time of one night for half a day,our forefathers managed to expend the month by fifteen days.In this sense the night time gained amounts to one third of our lives, doesn't it?This one third of life is not only treasured by the working people but also by the great statesmen in our history. In the chapter "Criminal Law" of The Chronicles of the Han Dynasty,Ban Gu also states:"The First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty set a good example in being industrious, disposing of lawsuits during the day and reading at night ,"This is about how he tried to find time to read at night. To some people the The First Emperor of the Qin isn't a pleasant name to recall but there is no denying that he was agreat figure in the history of China.Even BanGu has an impartial opinion of him.Liu Xiang, the great scholar of the Han Dynasty ,cites in his historical Anecdotes many princes of the Spring and Autumn period and Warring States period who paid great attention to learning. Why did the people in the set such great store by the night time? I think this is positive proof of their attitude toward the one third of their lives. This is exactly what we should learn from them.My intention of writing this little essay tonight is to call the readers' attention to the one third of his lifetime so that ,after working for a whole day,he can sit relaxed at home, browsing through and appreciating the useful knowledge of the past and of the present.优美英文散文文章篇7Fame is very much like an animal chasing its own tail who, when he captures it,does not know what else to do but to continue chasing it.Fame and the delighting popularity that accompanies it,force the famous person to participate in his or her own destruction. Those who gain fame most often gain it as a result of possessing a single talent or skill: singing, dancing, painting,or writing, etc. The successful performer develops a style that is marketed aggressively and gains some popularity. And it is this popularity that usually convinces the performer to continue performing in the same style, since that is what the public seems to want and to enjoy. But in time, the performer becomes bored singing the same songs in the same way year after year,or the painter becomes bored painting similar scenes or portraits,or the actor is tired of playing the same characterrepeatedly. The demand of the public holds the artist hostage to his or her own success, fame. If the artist attempts to change his or her style of writing or dancing or singing, etc.the audience may turn away and look to confer changeable fame which is passing quickly on another.I believe that fame and celebrity, influence and power, success and failure, reality and illusion are all somehow neatly woven into a seamless fabric we laughingly call reality.I say to those who desperately seek fame and fortune, celebrity: good luck. But what will you do when you have caught your tail, your success, and your fame? Keep chasing it? If you do catch it,hang on for dear life because falling is not as painful as landing.See you soon famous and almost famous.优美英文散文文章篇8I grew up in a small town where the elementary school wasa ten-minute walk from my house and in an age,not so long ago ,when children could go home for lunch and find their mothers waiting. At the time,I did not consider this a luxury, although today it certainly would be.I took it for granted that mothers were the sandwich-makers,the finger-painting appreciators and the homework monitors.I never questioned that this ambitious, intelligent woman, who had had a career before I was born and would eventually return to a career, would spend almost every lunch hour throughout my elementary school years just with me.I only knew that when the noon bell rang,I would race breathlessly home.My mother would be standing at the top of the stairs, smiling down at me with a look that suggested I wasthe only important thing she had on her mind. For this,I am forever grateful. Some sounds bring it all back: the high-pitched squeal of my mother's teakettle, the rumble of the washing machine in the basement and the jangle of my dog's license tags as she bounded down the stairs to greet me.Our time together seemed devoid of the gerrymandered schedules that now pervade my life. One lunchtime when I was in the third grade will stay with me always.I had been picked to be the princess in the school play, and for weeks my mother had painstakingly rehearsed my lines with me.But no matter how easily I delivered them at home,as soon as I stepped onstage, every word disappeared from my head. Finally,my teacher took me aside. She explained that she had written a narrator's part to the play, and asked me to switch roles. Her word, kindly delivered, still stung, especially when I saw my part go to another girl.I didn't tell my mother what had happened when I went home for lunch that day.But she sensed my unease, and instead of suggesting we practice my lines, she asked if I wanted to walk in the yard.It was a lovely spring day and the rose vine on the trellis was turning green.Under the huge elm trees,we could see yellow dandelions popping through the grass in bunches,as if a painter had touched our landscape with dabs of gold .I watched my mother casually bend down by one of the clumps."I think I'm going to dig up all these weeds,"she said, yanking a blossom up by its roots."From now on,we'll have only roses in this garden.""But I like dandelions,"I protested."All flowers are beautiful-even dandelions."My mother looked at me seriously."Yes,everyflower gives pleasure in its own way, doesn't it?" She asked thoughtfully.I nodded, pleased that I had won her over."And that is true of people too,"she added." Not everyone can be a princess, but there is no shame in that."Relieved that she had guessed my pain,I started to cry as I told her what had happened. She listened and smiled reassuringly."But you will be a beautiful narrator," she said ,reminding me of how much I loved to read stories aloud to her ."The narrator's part is every bit as important as the part of a princess.。

I was just about to pull out my gun when I felt a sharp pain in my torso.I was trying to see where the man was, but ended up seeing nothing but my own blood..."Joey, Joey," said a mysterious voice. I opened my eyes with a struggle."What happened?" I asked."You were shaking and sweating like crazy. And saying something like, 'No, please don't shoot me!' and stuff like that," said Steve."Uh," I groaned as I turned over and belched on Steve's shoes."Hey!" screamed Steve, "Those are my new Nike Air shoes!""where are we anyways?" I asked."We're waiting for our ship to get ready, duh!"I nearly forgot. Both Steve and I were taking a cruise to Iceland."The Great White is to departure to Iceland!" shouted the P.A."That's our cue!" I shouted in excitement, "Iceland, here we come!""Toilet, here I come..." I groaned as I fumbled my way down the aisles of the ship."I told you not to eat too much food and then run around like a lunatic!" shouted Steve. "People these days," he mumbled, "what they do for attention.""Passengers, we are just 1 hour away from reaching Iceland," said the P.A, "would all passengers please stay seated for the nexthour.""I hope they have a built in toilet in each seat," I said nervously, "because I feel another load coming on.""Don't worry Joey, just keep thinking about-," he was cut short by a violent shake."What was that?" I asked."Evacuate! Evacuate! We've just hit an iceberg! Evacuate! Evacuate!" shouted the P.A. And in the blink of an eye, everyone was up on their feet and running towards the lifeboats at the sides of the ship."Come on Joey! Let's get out of here!" shouted Steve. I ran as fast as I could, while dodging all of the flying furniture coming towards me. I huffed and puffed as I ran up the platform of the ship, which was becoming more and more vertical with each passing second. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw several tables tumbling towards Steve."Steve!" I shouted, "Watch out!" But it was too late. By the time Steve had turned around and faced me, the tables had already collided into him and sent him rolling down the platform. "Steve! No!" I shouted as I watched him being sucked down into the water. I stood there, helplessly, just staring after him. And then I remembered that I had to get out of this ship, or else I'd end up like Steve. So I jumped for my last chance at life. I grabbed a pole and held on fast. And then in a flash, my legs pushed me off of the pole and I splashed in the water. I surfaced, and watched as The Great White slowly sank into the unknown secrets of the Waterworld...I grunted with effort as I pulled myself into an abandoned raft. I looked around me in the raft, I see nothing but canned food and mold. "Oh well," I sigh, "at least there's food." I quicklychange my mind when I open a can. It was filled with nothing but mold. I take a look at my surroundings, nothing but endless water, endless oceans, endless nightmares. I just can't place Steve's death out of my mind. It just doesn't seem fair, that he had to die at such a young age. I don't even know how I'm surviving. I don't even know how I'm going to survive.During evening the next day, there was a violent rumble, and a big swooshing sound. I turned and looked through my binoculars. There, in the distance, was a humongous tsunami headed my way. Boom! I jumped. I looked up to see the clouds darkening and the lightning illuminating the endless sky. "Great,"I said, "just like salt can't go without pepper, tsunamis can't go without a storm." I returned my glance to the tsunami, and even though it was still far away, I was terrified of it. I took my paddle and started to move out of the tsunami's path. There it was again, the swooshing noise. I turned my glance towards to where the sound came from. There, dead ahead, was a monster wave taller than Harbor Center, and longer than a train, rushing in my direction. I just watched it, terrified of its massive size, its thundering noise, and, its rushing speed. Fortunately for me, the tsunami didn't crash until about 400 metres away from me. Unfortunately for me, the wave was so powerful that it created an abundance of smaller tsunamis. I was terrified as a tiny tsunami demolished my raft and sent me flying through the air. Splash! I landed in the freezing water, and saw nothing but tsunamis crashing and clashing together. I couldn't move, not because I was numb, but because I was too scared. I couldn't even feel my body anymore. "Oh no," I thought, "I'm getting hypothermia. I'm going to die." I watched the tsunami thunder in my path, "Oh well," I thought, "at least I'll all my problems will goaway when I die." Now the tsunami was only a kilometre away, and was coming closer with each passing second. "Good-bye world, good-bye life, good-bye Steve," I said as the tsunami was only a few seconds from tearing me apart.优秀英语散文作文范文二:Away in a MangerOne afternoon about a week before Christmas, my family of four piled into our minivan to run an errand, and this question came from a small voice in the back seat: "Dad," began my five-year-old son, Patrick, "how come I"ve never seen you cry?"Just like that. No preamble. No warning. Surprised, I mumbled something about crying when he wasn"t around, but I knew that Patrick had put his young finger on the largest obstacle to my own peace and contentment -- the dragon-filled moat separating me from the fullest human expression of joy, sadness and anger. Simply put, I could not cry.I am scarcely the only man for whom this is true. We men have been conditioned to believe that stoicism is the embodiment of strength. We have traveled through life with stiff upper lips, secretly dying within. For most of my adult life I have battled depression. Doctors have said much of my problem is physiological, and they have treated it with medication. But I know that my illness is also attributable to years of swallowing rage, sadness, even joy.Strange as it seems, in this world where macho is everything, drunkenness and depression are safer ways for men to deal with feelings than tears. I could only hope the same debilitating handicap would not be passed to the next generation. So the following day when Patrick and I were in the van after playing at a park, I thanked him for his curiosity. Tears are a goodthing, I told him, for boys and girls alike. Crying is God"s way of healing people when they"re sad. "I"m glad you can cry whenever you"re sad," I said. "Sometimes daddies have a harder time showing how they feel. Someday I hope to do better."Patrick nodded. In truth, I held out little hope. But in the days before Christmas I prayed that somehow I could connect with the dusty core of my own emotions."I was wondering if Patrick would sing a verse of "Away in a Manger" during the service on Christmas Eve," the church youth director asked in a message left on our answering machine. My wife, Catherine, and I struggled to contain our excitement. Our son"s first solo.Catherine delicately broached the possibility, reminding Patrick how beautifully he sang, telling him how much fun it would be. Patrick himself seemed less convinced and frowned. "You know, Mom," he said, "sometimes when I have to do something important, I get kind of scared."Grownups feel that way too, he was assured, but the decision was left to him. His deliberations took only a few minutes."Okay," Patrick said. "I"ll do it."From the time he was an infant, Patrick has enjoyed an unusual passion for music. By age four he could pound out several bars of Wagner"s Ride of the Valkyries on the piano. For the next week Patrick practiced his stanza several times with his mother. A rehearsal at the church went well. Still, I could only envision myself at age five, singing into a microphone before hundreds of people. When Christmas Eve arrived, my expectations were limited.Catherine, our daughter Melanie and I sat with the congregation in darkness as a spotlight found my son, standingalone at the microphone. He was dressed in white, with a pair of angel wings.Slowly, confidently, Patrick hit every note. As his voice washed over the people, he seemed a true angel, a true bestower of Christmas miracles. There was eternity in Patrick"s voice that night, a beauty rich enough to penetrate any reserve. At the sound of my son, heavy tears welled at the corners of my eyes. His song was soon over, and the congregation applauded. Catherine brushed away tears. Melanie sobbed next to me.After the service, I moved to congratulate Patrick, but he had more urgent priorities. "Mom," he said as his costume was stripped away, "I have to go to the bathroom."As Patrick disappeared, the pastor wished me a Merry Christmas, but emotion choked off my reply. Outside the sanctuary I received congratulations from fellow church members.I found my son as he emerged from the bathroom. "Patrick, I need to talk to you about something," I said, smiling. I took him by the hand and led him into a room where we could be alone. I knelt to his height and admired his young face, the large blue eyes, the dusting of freckles on his nose and cheeks, the dimple on one side.He looked at my moist eyes quizzically.。

The autumn leaves were floating in measure down to the ground, recovering the lake, where we used to swim like children, under the sun was there to shine. That time we used to be happy. Well, I thought we were. But the truth was that you had been longing to leave me, not daring to tell me. On that precious night, watching the lake, vaguely conscious, you said: Our storyis ending. The rain was killing the last days of summer. You had been killingmy last breath of love, since a long time ago. I still don’t think I’m gonna make it through another love story. You took it all away from me. And there I stand, I knew I was going to be the one left behind. But still I’m watching the lake, vaguely conscious, and I know my life is ending.有关英语美文散文(精选篇4)When I entered junior high, I met a really good English teacher. Her English is beautiful and her lessons are interesting. Whats more important, she always encouraged us to practise more. She made everyone of us read English newspapers in class. We often did pair work, group work, discussions and reports. She also brought us a lot of really nice English songs and chants. We never found it boring to learn English. Her classesalways seemed to be too short. There were always games, competitions and laughter in our English class. As a result, everyone in our class loves and does well in English. I began to read simplified English novels even when I was in junior three. I just enjoy learning and improving my English. My biggest wish is to be an English teacher in the future. 英语现代散文

英语现代散文英语现代散文I'm sure you have all heard the story of Cinderella. You know the beautiful girl with the two mean step-sisters, and wicked step-mother. Well you already know the ending, the beautiful girl marries the handsome prince, and they live happily ever after. Well that was the fairy tale, this is the real story. My name is Oscar and I am a mouse.I am not related to Mickey, Minnie, or Mighty, (even though there is a small resemblance to that super-hero Mighty mouse). I live in the attic in Cinderella's house. You might say Cindy and I were roommates. When she was small, and her father was alive, we shared a beautiful room downstairs. But after her father died, she was put in the attic. I naturally followed, because I knew she would need my company. And need me she did. At first, she thought of me only as a common ordinary mouse. Night after night she would throw me crumbs. (I thought she was very kind). Then one night, after her step-mother locked the door, she began to cry. I climbed up on Cindy's lap. She talked to me and gave me my name. I thought at the time it was a nerdy name, "Oscar", but I am used to it now. I even kind-of like it.Everyday I watched Cindy work sooo hard. Finally one day, quite by accident, I found a way to help her. You see, her step-sisters were ordering her around, and they made her cry. Cindy cried a lot. ( I never knew a girl could hold so much water!.) Anyway, I ran to Cindy and they saw me.Boy, you should have seen them clear the room!. Faster than a speeding bullet-- they almost broke their necks as they ranscreaming from the room. You should have heard them! "Eeeek...a Mouse!","Mother!!", "Help". Cindy and I laughed so hard. It was a really good moment. Then there was the time when I hid on a plate of food that was meant for Cindy's step-mother. When she saw me, first she fainted, then she had hysterics for three days!. Three days of peace!, that was really nice!.The only other person who was not afraid of me was Esmerelda. She was Cindy's fairy God-Mother. We called her Essie for short. She just popped up on the day of the big ball. Poor Cindy had run herself ragged waiting on those step-sisters, trying to do the impossible, and make them.. not beautiful..but just presentable. I mean they were sooo ugly... it wasn't skin deep, it was all the way to the bone!.Anyway, Cindy was talking to me in the garden, when this strange looking woman walked through the gate. Most people think she magically appeared in a beautiful white light, but she didn't.She just walked in the yard with a brown Foodtown shopping bag in her hand. I really thought she was here for a hand-out. Cindy must have thought the same thing, because she offered her a glass of milk and some cookies. She didn't look much like a fairy God-mother, either. Her dress was torn, her shoes had holes, and her hair... well, let's just say I've seen a better hair-do on a horse I used to know.。
优美的双语散文十六篇

优美的双语散文十六篇1、What I Have Lived For Bertrand Russell Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed mylife: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearablepity for the suffering of mankind. These passions, like great winds, have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a deepocean of anguish, reaching to the verge of despair. I have sought love, first, because it brings ecstasy --- ecstasyso great that I would have sacrificed all the rest of life for a fewhours of this joy. I have sought it, next, because it relievesloneliness --- that terrible loneliness in which one shiveringconsciousness looks over the rim of the world into cold unfathomablelifeless abyss. I have sought it, finally, because in the union oflove I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision ofthe heaven that saints and poets have imagined. This is what Isought, and though it might seem too good for human life, this iswhat --- at last --- I have found. With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished tounderstand the hearts of men, I have wished to know why the starsshine. And I have tried to apprehend the Pythagorean power by whichnumber holds away above the flux. A little of this, but not much, Ihave achieved. Love and knowledge, so far as they were possible, led upwardtoward the heavens. But always pity brought me back to earth. Echoesof cries of pain reverberated in my heart. Children in famine, victims tortured by oppressors, helpless old people a hated burdento their sons, and the whole world of loneliness, poverty, and painmake a mockery of what human life should be. I long to alleviate theevil, but I cannot, and I too suffer. This has been my life. I have found it worth living, and I wouldgladly live it again if the chance were offered to me. 我为何而活 伯兰特.罗素三种简单却极其强烈的情感主宰着我的生活:对爱的渴望、对知识的追求、对人类痛苦的难以承受的怜悯之心。

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder's children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy十五世纪时,在德国的一个小村庄里,住了一个有十八个孩子的家庭。

英语散文篇一A light drizzle was falling as my sister Jill and I ran out of the Methodist Church, eager to get home and play with the presents that Santa had left for us and our baby sister, Sharon. Across the street from the church was a Pan American gas station where the Greyhound bus stopped. It was closed for Christmas, but I noticed a family standing outside the locked door, huddled under the narrow overhang in an attempt to keep dry. I wondered briefly why they were there but then forgot about them as I raced to keep up with Jill.Once we got home, there was barely time to enjoy our presents. We had to go off to our grandparents house for our annual Christmas dinner. As we drove down the highway through town, I noticed that the family was still there, standing outside the closed gas station. My father was driving very slowly down the highway. The closer we got to the turnoff for my grandparents house, the slower the car went. Suddenly, my father U-turned in the middle of the road and said, "I cant stand it!""What?" asked my mother."Its those people back there at the Pan Am, standing in the rain. Theyve got children. Its Christmas. I cant stand it."When my father pulled into the service station, I saw that there were five of them: the parents and three children - two girls and a small boy.My father rolled down his window. "Merry Christmas," he said."Howdy," the man replied. He was very tall and had to stoop slightly to peer into the car. Jill, Sharon, and I stared at the children, and they stared back at us."You waiting on the bus?" my father asked. The man said that they were. They were going to Birmingham, where he had a brother and prospects of a job."Well, that bus isnt going to come along for several hours, and youre getting wet standing here. Winborns just a couple miles upthe road. Theyve got a shed with a cover there, and some benches," my father said. "Why dont yall get in the car and Ill run you up there."The man thought about it for a moment, and then he beckoned to his family. They climbed into the car. They had no luggage, only the clothes they were wearing.Once they settled in, my father looked back over his shoulder and asked the children if Santa had found them yet. Three glum faces mutely gave him his answer."Well, I didnt think so," my father said, winking at my mother, "because when I saw Santa this morning, he told me that he was having trouble finding all, and he asked me if he could leave your toys at my house. Well just go get them before I take you to the bus stop."All at once, the three childrens faces lit up, and they began to bounce around in the back seat, laughing and chattering. When we got out of the car at our house, the three children ran through the front door and straight to the toys that were spread out under our Christmas tree. One of the girls spied Jills doll and immediately hugged it to her breast. I remember that the littleboy grabbed Sharons ball. And the other girl picked up something of mine. All this happened a long time ago, but the memory of it remains clear. That was the Christmas when my sisters and I learned the joy of making others happy. My mother noticed that the middle child was wearing ashort-sleeved dress, so she gave the girl Jills only sweater to wear.My father invited them to join us at our grandparents for Christmas dinner, but the parents refused. Even when we all tried to talk them into coming, they were firm in their decision.Back in the car, on the way to Winborn, my father asked the man if he had money for bus fare. His brother had sent tickets, the man said.My father reached into his pocket and pulled out two dollars, which was all he had left until his next payday. He pressed the money into the mans hand. The man tried to give it back, but my father insisted. "Itll be late when you get to Birmingham, and these children will be hungry before then. Take it. Ive been broke before, and I know what its like when you cant feed your family."We left them there at the bus stop in Winborn. As we drove away, I watched out the window as long as I could, looking back at the little gihugging her new doll.天上下着毛毛细雨,我和姐姐吉尔跑出卫理公会教堂,满心只想着快点回到家玩圣诞老人给我们和小妹妹莎伦准备的礼物玩具。
英语散文范文

英语散文范文英语散文样本:1. A Day at the BeachIt was a perfect summer day, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze blowing. The sand felt warm beneath my feet as I walked along the beach, enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. Children were building sand castles and splashing in the water, while seagulls flew overhead, searching for food. I found a spot to lay my towel and sat down to relax. The waves crashed against the shore, creating a soothing rhythm. I closed my eyes and listened to the sound, feeling at peace in that moment. The beach was a place of tranquility and joy, a place where the worries of everyday life melted away. I spent the entire day there, basking in the sunshine and swimming in the refreshing ocean. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the water, I knew it was time to leave. But I made a promise to myself to return to the beach, to experience that same sense of serenity and happiness again.2. The Power of MusicMusic has a unique ability to touch our souls and evoke emotions like no other art form. Whether it's a joyful melody that makes us want to dance, or a melancholy tune that brings tears to our eyes, music has the power to stir something deep within us. It can transport us to different times and places, and connect us with people from all walks of life. There is no language barrier when it comes to music; it speaks to us on a primal level. It has the ability to heal, to comfort, and to inspire. I have personally experienced the transformative power of music in my own life. When I am feeling down, I can always turn to my favorite song and instantlyfeel uplifted. When words fail me, music can express what I cannot put into words. Music is a universal language that has the power to bring people together and create a sense of unity. It is a gift that should be cherished and celebrated.3. The Beauty of NatureThere is something inherently beautiful and awe-inspiring about the natural world. From the vibrant colors of a sunset, to the intricate patterns of a snowflake, nature is full of wonders that can take our breath away. Spending time in nature has a way of grounding us and reminding us of our place in the universe. Whether it's taking a hike through the mountains, or simply sitting in a park and watching the birds, being in nature rejuvenates our spirits and brings us a sense of peace. The beauty of nature is all around us, if only we take the time to notice it. It is a reminder that there is so much more to life than the hustle and bustle of everyday existence. Nature has the power to calm our minds and lift our spirits. It is a source of inspiration and a reminder of the incredible diversity and wonder of the world we live in. Let us not take it for granted, but instead, let us protect and preserve it for future generations to enjoy.这些散文样本都能向读者传达一些重要的信息或感触,并且在语言和结构上都符合散文的特点。
优美的英语散文5篇

优美的英语散文5篇英语精美的散文篇1Touch Me is a soliloquy(独白)composed by Hank Miller, about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. also known as “The Wall”. This monument is one of the most visited sites in the city of Washington.-----By Hank Miller(California professional photographer, freelance writer, former Naval Aviator, and a Vietnam veteran)Touch me. Don’t be afraid. I can’t hurt you. Go ahead and touch my smooth surface. Feel the cold, glass-like smoothness and the crevices and lines that make me what I am. Use both hands if you wish. We are more similar than you dare to believe.Touch my face. Yes, I have a face like yours. It has weathered the centuries as yours has the years. My face portrays my evolution. Yours, the birth and death of a generation. My face has aged like yours as we have endured together the testimony of earth elements.I have eyes like yours. My inscriptions stare out at you as I search for the meaning of why we are here. I look into your eyes and see who you are. Who am I? I was formed millions of years past and now you see the results of my evolution.I can feel your hands and the sweat from your palms flow into thecountless combination of the letters that make me. I know you. I have known you since I was able to breathe in the air as my smoothness began to take shape and my color matured along with natural flaws. You have known me since the days when you came to take me from my mother. You cannot hear me. I am static and unmoving. But, I can hear your murmurs and your cries of pain and sadness. Your sons and daughters ask why? There are no answers. I am very old. I have seen everything and I am none the wiser for the pain and suffering and I have witnessed since I rose from the bowels of the earth. I have witnessed the conflict, the death, the civilizations, and the societies that have come before you. Yet I remain mystified about this day.I feel sad yet alive with a purpose. I have come to know those who are now an integral part of the reason for my being here at this place and time. That purpose has become apparent as I stand before you on this day while your brethren gather to witness my reflections and the changes of light that mirror your soul.I am a reflection of you…I am all of you…I am your spirit..I am The Wall.英语精美的散文篇2Sometimes I have thought it would be an excellent rule to live each day as if we should die tomorrow. Such an attitude would emphasize sharply the values of life. We should live each day with a gentleness, a vigor, and a keenness of appreciation which are often lost when time stretches before us in the constant panorama of more days and months and years to come. There are those, of course, who would adopt the epicurean motto of “Eat, drink, and be merry,”most people would be chastened by the certainty of impending death. Most of us take life for granted. We know that one day we must die, but usually we picture that day as far in the future, when we are in buoyant health, death is all but unimaginable. We seldom think of it. The days stretch out in an endless vista. So we go about our petty task, hardly aware of our listless attitude towards life. The same lethargy, I am afraid, characterizes the use of our faculties and senses. Only the deaf appreciate hearing, only the blind realize the manifold blessings that lie in sight. Particularly does this observation apply to those who have lost sight and hearing in adult life. But those who have never suffered impairment of sight or hearing seldom make the fullest use of these blessed faculties. Their eyes and ears take in all sights and sound hazily, without concentration, and with little appreciation. It is the same old story of not being grateful for what we conscious of health until we are ill.I have often thought it would be a blessing if each human being were stricken blind and deaf for a few days at some time during his early adult life. Darkness would make him more appreciative of sight; silence would teach him the joys of sound. Now and then I have tested my seeing friends to discover what they see. Recently I was visited by a very good friend who had just returned from a long walk in the woods, and I asked her what she had observed. “Nothing in particular,”she replied. I might have been incredulous had I not been accustomed to such responses, for long ago I became convinced that the seeing see little. How was it possible, I asked myself, to walk for an hour through the woods and see nothing worthy of note? I who cannot see find hundreds of things to interest me through mere touch. I feel the delicate symmetry of a leaf. I pass my hands lovingly about the smooth skin of a silver birch, or the rough shaggy bark of a pine. In spring I touch the branches of trees hopefully in search of a bud, the first sign of awakening Nature after her winter’s sleep I feel the delightful, velvety texture of a flower, and discover its remarkable convolutions; and something of the miracle of Nature is revealed to me. Occasionally, if I am very fortunate, I place my hand gently in a small tree and feel the happy quiver of a bird in full song. I am delighted to have cool waters of a brook rush through my open fingers. To me alush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug. To me the pageant of seasons is a thrilling and unending drama, the action of which streams through my finger tips. At times my heart cries out with longing to see all these things. If I can get so much pleasure from mere touch, how much more beauty must be revealed by sight. Yet, those who have eyes apparently see little. The panorama of color and action fill the world is taken for granted. It is human, perhaps, to appreciate little that which we have and to long for that which we have not, but it is a great pity that in the world of light and the gift of sight is used only as mere convenience rather that as a means of adding fullness to life.Oh, the things that I should see if I had the power of sight for three days!英语精美的散文篇3One day, an expert in time management was speaking to a group of students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration those students will never forget. As he stood in front of the group of overachievers he said, "OK, time for a quiz." He pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouth jar and set it on the table in front of him. He also produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, heasked, "Is this jar full?"Everyone in the class yelled, "Yes." The time management expert replied, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. He dumped some gravel in and shook the jar, causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. He then asked the group once more, "Is this jar full?"By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not," one of them answered. "Good!" he replied. He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all of the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?""No!" the class shouted. Once again he said, "Good." Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then he looked at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?" One eager student raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things in it!""No," the speaker replied, "that‘s not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is if you don‘t put the big rocks in first, you‘ll never get them in at all. What are the ‘big rocks‘in your life? Time with your loved ones, your education, your dreams, a worthy cause, teaching or mentoring others? Remember to put these big rocks infirst or you‘ll never get them in at all."英语精美的散文篇4My grandfather died when I was a small boy, and my grandmother started staying with us for about six months every year. She lived in a room that doubled as my father‘s office, which we referred to as "the back room." She carried with her a powerful aroma.I don‘t know what kind of perfume she used, but it was the double-barreled, ninety-proof, knockdown, render-the-victim-unconscious, moose-killing variety. She kept it in a huge atomizer and applied it frequently and liberally. It was almost impossible to go into her room and remain breathing for any length of time. When she would leave the house to go spend six months with my Aunt Lillian, my mother and sisters would throw open all the windows, strip the bed, and take out the curtains and rugs. Then they would spend several days washing and airing things out, trying frantically to make the pungent odor go away. This, then, was my grandmother at the time of the infamous pea incident. It took place at the Biltmore Hotel, which, to my eight-year-old mind, was just about the fancies place to eat in all of Providence. My grandmother, my mother, and I were having lunch after a morning spent shopping. I grandly ordered a salisbury steak, confident in theknowledge that beneath that fancy name was a good old hamburger with gravy. When brought to the table, it was accompanied by a plate of peas.I do not like peas now. I did not like peas then. I have always hated peas. It is a complete mystery to me why anyone would voluntarily eat peas. I did not eat them at home. I did not eat them at restaurants. And I certainly was not about to eat them now."Eat your peas," my grandmother said."Mother," said my mother in her warning voice. "He doesn‘t like peas. Leave him alone."“My grandmother did not reply, but there was a glint in her eye and a grim set to her jaw that signaled she was not going to be 14)thwarted. She leaned in my direction, looked me in the eye, and uttered the fateful words that changed my life: "I‘ll pay you five dollars if you eat those peas."I had absolutely no idea of the impending doom. I only knew that five dollars was an enormous, nearly unimaginable amount of money, and as awful as peas were, only one plate of them stood between me and the possession of that five dollars. I began to force the wretched things down my throat. My mother was livid. My grandmother had that self-satisfied look of someone who has thrown down an unbeatable trump card. "I cando what I want, Ellen, and you can‘t stop me." My mother glared at her mother. She glared at me. No one can glare like my mother. If there were a glaring Olympics, she would undoubtedly win the gold medal.I, of course, kept shoving peas down my throat. The glares made me nervous, and every single pea made me want to throw up, but the magical image of that five dollars floated before me, and I finally gagged down every last one of them. My grandmother handed me the five dollars with a flourish. My mother continued to glare in silence. And the episode ended. Or so I thought. My grandmother left for Aunt Lillian‘s a few weeks later. That night, at dinner, my mother served two of my all-time favorite foods, meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Along with them came a big, steaming bowl of peas. She offered me some peas, and I, in the very last moments of my innocent youth, declined. My mother fixed me with a cold eye as she heaped a huge pile of peas onto my plate. Then came the words that were to haunt me for years."You ate them for money," she said. "You can eat them for love."Oh, despair! Oh, devastation! Now, too late, came the dawning realization that I had unwittingly damned myself to a hell from which there was no escape."You ate them for money. You can eat them for love."What possible argument could I muster against that? There was none. Did I eat the peas? You bet I did. I ate them that day and every other time they were served thereafter. The five dollars were quickly spent. My grandmother passed away a few years later. But the legacy of the peas lived on, as it lives on to this day. If I so much as curl my lip when they are served (because, after all, I still hate the horrid little things), my mother repeats the dreaded words one more time: "You ate them for money," she says. "You can eat them for love."英语精美的散文篇5An ancient Hebraic text says:" love is as strong as death". How many of you have a mother, or father, husband or wife, son or daughter or friend who would sacrificehis or her own life on yours? Those of you who truly love your spells but unchildren, would unselfishly lay your life on the line to save them from death? Many people in an emergency room with their loved ones and prayed"please, God,take me instead of them".Find true love and be a true lover as well.May you find a love which is not only strong as death, but to leave to a truly for feeling life.。

英语唯美散文篇一I love to be alone. We are for the most part more lonely when we go abroad among men than when we stay in our chambers.A man thinking or working is always alone, let him be where he will.Solitude is not measured by the miles of space that intervene between a man and his fellows. The really diligent student in one of the crowded hives of Cambridge College is as solitary as a dervish in the desert. We meet at the post-office, and at the sociable, and about the fireside every night; we live thick and are in each other’s way, and stumble over one another, and I think that we thus lose some respect for one another.Consider the girls in a factory---never alone, hardly in their dreams. It would be better if there were but one inhabitant to a square mile, as where I live. The value of a man is not in his skin, that we should touch him.I am no more lonely than the loon in the pond that laughs so loud, or than Walden Pond itself. And yet it has not the blue devils, but the blue angels in it, in the azure tint of its waters.I am no more lonely than a single mullein or dandelion in a pasture, or a bean leaf, or sorrel, or a horse-fly, or a bumblebee.I am no more lonely than the Millbrook, or a weathercock, or the north star, or the south wind, or an April shower, or a January thaw, or the first spider in a new house.我发现人若大部分时间用于独处,将有益身心。

Near the horizon it is always less bright, while in the region immediately around the sun it is more or less yellow. The reason of this is that near the horizon we look through a very great thickness of the lower atmosphere, which is full of the larger dust particles reflecting white light, and this diluter(稀释剂) the pure blue of the higher atmosphere seen beyond, and in the vicinity(邻近,附近) ofthe sun a good deal of the blue light is reflected back into space by the finer dust, thus giving a yellowish tinge to that which reaches us reflected chiefly from the coarse dust of the lower atmosphere.

Some people love in fact he did not see the placid in smooth water, the role and value of youth, not experienced fighting waves of pleasure。
The charm of youth lies in the strong and fierce, without the dynamic world will be stagnant water, life will be insipid。
Due to constraints, is not a drop of water can be agitated in the flood, not every river can HAOGE thousands of miles into the sea, have not yet landed was ruthlessly evaporated, some were artificially waste。
Even so, it can't change its youthful personality。
Jianxi can stay, after all the sea waves are。
Because the drops of water to the sea of ambition, only the eternal flow of historical torrential rivers。
It will not be small because of its own small drops of inferiority, nor because of the rise of dams and convergence of publicity personality。
When the energy is slowing down, looking at the waves rolling behind it,it will proudly say: "my youth once was like this。
"。
