Ethylene is a kind of olefin containing a double bond. It was used to produce polyethylene immensely (largely) though chain polymerization. Now, polyethylene is widely applied in many technology fields and everyday life as indispensable material.
Polyethylene is a widely used polymer, which has good toughness, water resistance, solvent resistance and contaminates resistance. There are three forms of polyethylene, namely low density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene and high density polyethylene. Polyethylene is extensively (immensely ,largely) used to manufacture tube, film, cable and other supplies.
The synthetic polymers play an increasingly important role on a range of domains, which are synthesized by monomers through addition polymerization or condensation polymerization. Polyolefin and vinyl polymer have taken the lead in terms of the world consumption. PE, PP, etc. belong to the polyolefin, while PS, PVC etc. belong to the vinyl polymer. Polymers can be widely applied in plastics, rubbers, fibers, coatings, glues and so on.
