Role-Playing Skit

Background: After taking Kevin’s English class, A decided to live in America. He found a great job in a good city, and life was wonderful. However, he just lost his high-paying job and will have to move out of his expensive house and move into a small apartment with someone else. After searching online, he found two people who have an extra room. He will interview these two people to decide if you want to live with him.

A : Oh , my god! It is not easy to live abroad . I just find a high-paying job ,but unfortunately I get fired . I have to move out of my big and comfortable house and move into a small and poor apartment.（叹息，沮丧看着电脑打电话询问。) A : Excuse me , do you have a house to rent? I see the advertisement on the Internet

B : Yes.

A: Can I come to see it?

B: Of course! You can take a bus to Black Apartment. I will wait for you in that. A: O k , I will be right over.

(在路上的对话)

A: Hello , is that you have a room to rent?

B: Yeah .

A: Which country are you from? You don ’t like a native.

B: I come from Australia . I have live there 3 years.

A: Is there any people live with you ?

B: A university student ,a friend and a pets pig. But that student just moved out. So

there is a vacant room.

A: What is your job?

B:

I work at home as a freelance ,doing job for several people at the same time .

A: Oh,that’s sounds interesting! Can you tell me some of your daily life ?

B: I always sit in front of my computer , my friend often calls me a computer derivate.

So you can imagine what I do .

A: Do you have any sleeping or annoying habits?

B: I often stay up late to watch football games and complete my work.

A: Yeah , I like watching football games ,too . I think I can do that with you .

B: Great!

（刚进房间的对话,c正在听音乐哼唱）

B: This is my friend , Mike .

A: Hello , Mike .I am Bob. Nice to meet you .

C: Nice to meet you , too .

A: Which country are you from?

C: I am from Canada .and you?

A: I am from China .

C: Oh , China is an old mysterious land.

A: Mike ,can I talk to you for a second？

C: Of course .

A: What is your job ？

C: I work as a singer.

A: Could you tell me some of your daily life ?

C:I often practice singing songs at home in the day time and go to work at night.

Sometimes, I go on travelling for a week.

A: Pretty good ! I can listen to wonderful music . Do you have any annoying habit?

C: I usually take my friends to my house and sing songs together . Some people may think it’s a noise.

A: Yes , it’s specially when people are at rest.

Could you please take me to see my room ?

B:Ok.

A: my god ! what’s that ?

B: It is my pets pig , Do du. This is vacant room , so he lives there temporarily .

A:Why he sleep in bed?

B:He often sleeps with me , but sometimes , he likes sleeping with someone else .

D:Yes , I like sleeping with people ,if you live there , maybe I sleep with you .

Why can’t I sleep in bed?

A: Sorry , I didn’t mean to offend you .

D: Don’t you think I look so lovely and cute?(夸张些)

A: Maybe.

D: So you would like to share room with me and help me do something .

(想把A气走，不霸占他的房子。)

A: I will consider it .

D: hahha~~, when my master is busy, Can you take me go out for a walk , can you make meal for me , can you clean my pighome ,can you ~~~?

A: O h, I just want to rent a small house .

D: But my pigroom is in this room , you have to care me .

A: But I don’t want live and sleep with animal, too .

D: You can’t occupy my room .(大声叫！)

B: Hey , cut it out ! Cut it out ! Do du you shouldn’t ask him to do these, Mike just want to rent a room , We clean the sitting-room by turns and I will take after you .
