Opening Remarks of a ChairpersonLadies and gentlemen,I am honored to declare the 1st International Climate Chang Conference open. First of all, I will introduce myself, I am Zhao Ruihua, from Cambridge University. I will be the chairman of today’s conference. This conference is organized and sponsored by Tongji University. First, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you who have come from various parts of world to attend this conference. Today, we are lucky to have several internationally acclaimed scholars with us, they are( professor Ge Huangmin, from Bremen University; professor Jiang Zhilv, from National Climate bureau; professor Xu Jiajiong, from Yale University; professor Shen Jingyi, from Harvard University; professor Ma Jinxing, from Beijing University; and professor Wang qiang, from Tongji University.). The goals of this conference are three fold. First, it provides a forum for global climate change to exchange ideas freely. Secondly it is a good opportunity to show our research achievements about climate change. Finally, it is intend to make feasible plans for research and development of protecting our environment.
