英语电影观后感（三傻冒闯宝莱坞）

Three Idiots

review by Shorty Three Idiots, the film, adapted from the best-selling novel called Five Point Someone written by Chetan Bhagat, which is a joint product of director Rajkumar Hirani, one of the directors of the decade, a man with immense talent and a knack for storytelling, and equally respected screenwriter Lou Breslow, accomplishes its multiple goals: create a gallery of fascinating, fully realized characters; feature with the typical exotic Indian singing and dancing; expose the audiences to the chronic education problems in the developing country’s society, students suffering from the high-stress and doctrine; and explore the conception of success and fabulous attitude in life. It triggers large amounts of reflections in China, when it first shows up on our computer screen.

Their story is framed as intermittent flashbacks from the present day, beginning with Farhan (R. Madhavan) and Raju (Sharman Joshi) set up the journey to search for their missing friend Rancho (Aamir Khan), under the motivation of Chatur "Silencer" Ramalingam (Omi Vaidya), who is eager to prove his achievement is far more than Rancho after graduating. Farhan, Raju and Rancho are three engineering students who share a room in a hostel at the Imperial College of Engineering (ICE). Farhan has an initial dream of becoming a wildlife photographer and he is as well good at it, however, in the pursuit of his father’s wishes, he chooses to study engineering in ICE. Raju，whose family is in poverty, a father being badly ill and a sister unmarried, often prays and asks for help from God. Conversely, Rancho, driven by his passion for machines and devices, studies the engineer just for joy of it. Rancho’s unique method in studying makes

him different from any other ordinary students, especially from Chatur "Silencer" Ramalingam, a classmate believing in mindless memorizing over understanding, in order to reach his goals to became the top student in the college and improve his social status. The president of ICE, Professor Virus "Virus" Shahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani) is a very severe educator, highlighting the cut-throat competition both in the nature and society, and the pressure from him indirectly causes the suicide of his son and student, which regarded as murder by Ran cho. Rancho’s principles of studying and behavior have contradictions with Professor Virus’s teaching credos, in that Professor Virus labels Rancho and his friends as "idiots" and attempts on a number of occasions to break up Rancho's friendship with Farhan and Raju. By accident, Rancho met with Professor Virus’s daughter Pia (Kareena Kapoor), who gives the three idiots helping hand in the later story, leading her to realize her fiancéis only focus on money and price, and finally falls in love with her. In one important examination, the result turns out to be, Rancho is the first; Chatur, the second; Farhan, the last; Raju, next to the last, because of Rancho’s purely learning for love and passion, Chatur’s ingrained mindless memorizing method, Farhan’s lack of interest and Raju’s insecurity. After a series of turn-and-twist incidents, persuaded by Rancho, Farhan gets the permission of pursuing his dream to become a wildlife photographer, as well, Raju defeats his own insecurity and gains the confidence then employed by a famous company. Without saying goodbye Rancho fades from the scene of graduation ceremony. Ten years later, when they find him, he turns out to be the great scientist Phunsukh Wangdu with large amount of fortune and set up a primary school being the president of it. On the beautiful seaside, friends meet; lovers get together; leaving Chatur defeated.
