My View on Whether to Postpone Retirement At present, China is considering whether to push back the retirement age, which has been widely discussed in recent years. People opinions on this issue different sharply.Some people claim that it will be a wise decision to postpone retirement. On one hand, China’s retirement age relatively low from a global stand point. With the increase of people’s quality lives, their working capacities and physical fitness are also improved, which has created good conditions for extending the retirement age. On the other hand, China is a serious aging society and national pension insurance fund has not allowed retire early under existing retirement system.Reversely, many others hold the opposite view. They insist that postpone retirement means that they will not receive pensions until several years later and will have to pay pensions dues for more years.Weighing the two arguments mentioned above, I’m inclined to seek a flexible way to face the problem. Why not let the citizens make chooses at their willing. Since people like teachers or designers whose skills are probably limited by their age, they tend to work for longer time to have higher incomes. However, those manual labors may be unwilling to postpone their retirement age, for they work hard all day but have modest income. A flexible policy will not merely relieve the burden of our society but make contribute to implement it, which will bring us a glittering prospect.Combating HazeRapid development has transformed our country into environmental wasteland. According to a recent report released by China Daily, the haze covered most of South China for 15 days in February 2014. The serious pollution has caused the social tension, raising a question that what should we do to deal with the problem.For my perspective, there exist several facts contributing to the fact. In the first place, the fundamental reason is the continuous emission of pollutants. In order to keep the high increase rate of GDP, many local governments encourage the expansions of high polluted enterprises, regardless of the environment. In the second place, the increasing number of cars in the cities contributed at least 20% of PM2.5 in South China.Several measures should be adopted before the situations getting worse. To begin with, raising the public awareness may be the key to win the war. Citizens should be advised that their lifestyles need to be change, taking buses instead of personal cars, for example, will not reduce not merely the air pollutants but their living cost. Additionally, our authorities had better make and implement relevant laws or regulations to supervise the factories, those which destroy or contaminate the environment should be punished severely. What’s more, subsidies should be offered to widen the use of cleaning technologies.As is stated above, public awareness, economic measures and legislative policyshould be bound to overcome the challenge. There is a long way to go to get a blue sky again, during which not only our authorities but all of us are bound to take actions.Whether we should offer help to the elder who falls over the street It goes without saying that it’s a virtue to help elder people, however, it is reported that some people who offered their assistance found themselves in trouble. According to a recent survey released by China Daily, more than 69.1% people surveyed will think twice before offering help to the old people, which have raised a question that whether we should offer a help to an elder person who falls over on the street.People’s views on this issue differ sharply. Some people claim that we had better not take actions before the policemen arriving so as to avoid the possible troubles. Additionally, since we are not obliged to help others, therefore, to call the police is a good choice.Some other people, reversely, argue that we should offer a help for an elder person, because it’s Chinese traditional virtue to help elder people. And we should not let the traditional virtue disappear in modern China.Weighing the two argument mentioned above, I’m inclined to agree with the latter point. To begin with, it’s dangerous to leave the eld er people who fall over on the street. Therefore, we must take actions at once. Additionally, if everyone think twice before offering helps, our society will become more and more indifferent, which will eventually bring troubles for all of us. What’s more, offering helps to the elder people will show good examples to our next generations.In all, it’s wise for us to offer helps to an elder person who fall over on the street. To begin with, raising the public awareness may be the key road to win the war. Citizens should be told that their alternations of lifestyles will make contribute to an alleviation of traffic jam. Taking buses instead of private cars, for example, means not merely reduce the car use but an economical lifestyle. Besides, the merits of subway should not be ignored. Since travel by subway is inexpensive,convenient, safe and environmentally friendly, speeding up the construction of the urban rail system would attract more white-collar to stop using their cars. What’s more , the management of traffic systems should be improved, Staggered rush hour plan will help reduce the number of cars during rush hours, which will definitely be a good choose.As is stated above, public awareness, construction of subway, more effective management of traffic system should be bound to overcome the challenge. It will be a time consuming process to make an essential difference to the phenomena, during which we are exposed to the plights. Peoples’ views differ sharply to this issue.Some people argue that it’s a good policy to ban firecrackers during Spring Festival. Since air pollution in China is getting worse, setting off firecrackers will make the value of PM2.5 become even higher. Additionally, the noises caused by firecrackers make people feel hard to fall asleep at night.Others, however, claim that we should not ban firecrackers. They do insist that as setting off the firecrackers is a traditional habit during Spring Festival, which will bring about atmosphere of happiness. If people are not allowed to set off firecracker, Not only the atmosphere but our traditional happiness will decline sharply. Weighing the arguments above, I’m inclined to limit the use of firecrackers but not plan to forbid it absolutely. To begin with, to set off the firecrackers is a Chinese traditional during Festival. It’s not a wise choose to ban it totally, for it will not benefit the protection of Chinese traditional culture. At the same time, we should not neglect the drawbacks of the firecrackers. Since it’s not merely one of the main causes of fire disasters during Spring Festival but make contribute to air pollutions, we had better limit the use of firecrackers. Our authorities, for example, should make some laws or regulations to limit the time and place to guide citizens to set off the firecrackers.In sum, it’s wise for us to limit the use of firecrackers but do not ban it totally, only in this way can we better enjoy our Spring Festival in the future.。
