一.教学对象分析

Passage 1
(2019省质检·七选五)
1Some people put their bicycles away once they learn how to drive a car. For many
2people, bicycling is not just an easy way of getting around town but also an exciting sport.
3(36 )Serious cyclists often arrange to take part in races.
4One kind of race is the time trial. Each racer leaves the starting line at a different time
5and heads hard for the finish line. The cyclist who covers the distance in the shortest
6amount of time wins the race. (37)A time trial is a very s afe race for beginners, because 7the bicycles are spread out and are not likely to run into each other.
8Another kind of race is more difficult. A few city blocks are closed to traffic. Then all 9the racers line up in a tight pack and begin racing at the same time. (38)They cover many 10laps, going around and around the city blocks. The race requires more than speed. It also
11 requires skillful handling of the bicycle as it runs at full speed around other bicycles. The
12 racer who completes all the lap s firs t is the winner.
13(39)Road races are usually the longest cycling contests. Racers have to cover
14 anywhere from 35 miles to almost 3,000 miles. The race course may be a straight stretch
15of road or a long series of roads across the country. The prize goes to the first person who
16crosses the finish line.
17Between races cyclists stay in condition by doing exercise that builds their strength
18 so that they can keep riding for long periods of time. (40)As cyclists become more
19 experienced, they often join bicycling groups and become licensed racers. Then they can
20enter special races all over the country. If you’re a cyclist, keep practicing. You could
21 become a star.
Passage 2
(2013全国Ⅱ卷·完形)
1①Michael Greenberg is a very popular New Yorker. He is
2not famous in sports or the arts, but people in the streets know
3about him, especially those who are poor.
4②For those people, he is "Gloves" Greenberg. How did he
5get that name? He looks like any other businessman, wearing a
6suit and carrying a briefcase (公文箱). But he's different. His
7briefcase always has some gloves。
8③In winter, Mr.Greenberg does not act like other New
9Yorkers, who look at the sidewalk and hurry down the street. He
10 looks around at people. He stops when he sees someone with no
11 gloves. He gives them a pair and then he moves on, looking for
12 more people with cold hands.
13④On winter days, Mr.Greenberg gives away gloves. During
14 the rest of the year, he buys gloves. People who have heard about
15 him send him gloves, and he has many in his apartment.
16⑤Mr. Greenberg began doing this 21 years ago. Now, many
17 poor New Y orkers know him and understand his behavior. But
18 people who don't know him are sometimes surprised by him.
19 They don't realize that he just wants to make them happy.
20⑥It runs in the family. Michael's father always helped the
21 poor as he believed it made everyone happier. Michael
22 Greenberg feels the same. A pair of gloves may be a small thing,
23 but it can make a big difference in winter.
