DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE: Vishay Siliconix announces the qualification of alternative die attach solder
Pb92.5Sn5Ag2.5 for commercial High Voltage MOSFET products manufactured at the Vishay Siliconix factory in Xian, China. The addition of this alternative die attach solder will improve manufacturing flexibility. CLASSIFICATION OF CHANGE: Change in direct material
REASON FOR CHANGE: Alternative direct material for commercial High Voltage MOSFETs to improve manufacturing flexibility.
EXPECTED INFLUENCE ON QUALITY/RELIABILTY/PERFORMANCE: There will be no effect on electrical performance; no changes to data sheets specifications. Long-term reliability and quality will also be unaffected. PRODUCT CATEGORY: Commercial High Voltage Power MOSFETs
PART NUMBERS/SERIES/FAMILIES AFFECTED: See page 2 of this PCN.
Additional High Voltage MOSFET part numbers released to production at Vishay Xian in D2PAK, FullPakTO220,
TO220, Super TO247, TO247 packages after the effective date of this PCN will be covered by this announcement. VISHAY BRAND(s): Vishay Siliconix
TIME SCHEDULE: Shipments from Vishay Xian will start in March 2012.
SAMPLE AVAILABILITY: Samples will be available starting January 2012. Please contact your regional Vishay Sales office to place sample orders.
PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION: High Voltage MOSFET products manufactured in Vishay Xian with alternative die attach solder will have part marking in the form of Y23xxx where the Y is the factory designator for Vishay Xian. QUALIFICATION DATA: Qualification data is available upon request
This PCN is considered approved, without further notification, unless we receive specific customer concerns before March 20, 2012 or as specified by contract.
