OMEGACARE SM covers parts, labor and equivalent loanersPRESSURE MODULES (INT & EXT) (Optional, ordered with base unit or field installable)CL561 can have up to three (3) internal pressure modules. All the internal pressure modules, up to INT6C,are equipped with relief valves as overpressure protection. This together with the possibility to also use external pressure modules, gives CL561 a unique pressure calibration capability.A unit fitted with the barometric module allows all other pressure modules to also measure absolute pressure. The pressure modules incorporate advanced pressure measurement technology, whichmeans that only a few modules are needed to cover a very wide pressure range with excellent uncertainty.CL561 supports more than 30 different pressure units as standard.Electrical Module (Included With All Models)The electrical module (E), which is galvanically isolated from all the other modules, measures electrical quantities including frequency. Additionally it counts pulses and detects the state of switches (opening and closing values). It includes a +24V DC loop supply and also generates current. The E module hosts the optional Hart ®modem which allows digital communications with instruments which support the Hart ®protocol. CL561 automatically includes an internal modem plus 250 Ohm resistor needed for Hart ®communication when the +24V DC loop supply is used.for mentioned period. The combination of gauge and stand will create a high-precision, compact load tester for a wide range of applications. In addition, any model can be converted to any other model by following procedures in this manual.Model DFG-TS-C , the factory standard configuration, is for a compression application. When you pull the lever arm down and toward you, the gauge will also come down and compress.Model DFG-TS-T is config-ured for tension. When you pull the lever arm down and toward you, the gauge will move up and create tension.Mounting the Gauge1.Mount digital gauges to the stand using the screws supplied with the stand. (FIG.2)When mounting mechanical gauges to the stand, hold the gauge firmly and unscrew the 4 screws in back, making sure the case does not separate. Hold gauge up to the AP-002adapter plate (supplied), align plate and gauge holes and insert the 4 long screws supplied to attach gauge.

The front target plate is heated by a resistance heater, embedded in the refractory material of the bottom plate. The plates are made of aluminum to aid in uniform surface tem-perature distribution. The temperature of the plate is controlled by a bimetallic thermostat sensor. The case supports the aluminum plates, and also serves to house the electrical connections and the temperature control components. See Figure 1 for the overall shape and the general features of the unit.4-1Section 4 - Operation4.1 Setting Temperature:Prior to connecting your BB-2A hot plate to your electrical supply, be sure the rocker and the dial switches are in the OFF position. The power is turned ON or OFF by means of the rocker switch. Push the rocker switch to turn the unit ON. The hot plate will start heating up when the pointer is beyond the OFF mark on the dial plate. Turn dial clockwise to set desired temperature. Dial mark indicate approximate surface temperature in °C. The green cycle light will illuminate when the pointer on the dial passes the OFF mark on the dial plate. When the temperature for a given dial setting has been reached, the light will cycle OFF and ON to hold that temperature. If the cycle light is off, hot plate may still be hot. To turn OFF hot plate, turn dial switch to the fully counterclockwise position and push the rocker switch down to off position.4.2 Measuring Temperature:The 5 1⁄4” target area of the plate is a near ideal blackbody source. The emissivity of the plate is 0.95. When calibrating an IR pyrometer, hold the pyrometer perpendicular to the target plate for optimal perfor-mance. The proper distance between the IR pyrometer and the target plate depends on the field of view of the pyrometer. If the pyrometer is too far away it will scan unwanted surfaces outside of the perimeter of the target plate. Holding the pyrometer too close could introduce unde-tures. Exercise extreme caution when operating the unit. Keep hands and fingers away from the target plate area. Keep flammable products such as paper, plastics and clothing far from the unit.• The BB-2A is a Class II instrument. It is intended to be oper-ated in a laboratory environment only. Never operate the unit outside or around children.• Nothing should come in contact with the target plate.Even when the unit is off.• Never unplug the unit while it is on. Let it cool down to lower temperature before turning it off.5-1Section 5 - Maintenance5.1 CalibrationThis unit has been fine tuned at the factory and calibrated to give opti-mum performance of its full temperature range. It is recommended that the unit be returned annually for re-calibration.Remove all electrical connections and power before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.5.2.1 Main BodyOnly a damp soft rag with a mild cleaning solution should be used when cleaning the main body of this unit.5.2.2 Target PlateDo not attempt to clean the target plate.

Omega PCL432

PCL432Voltage CalibratorOperator’s ManualM1891/0994GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe OMEGA®PCL432 Hand-Held Voltage Calibrator is designed to be a complete process voltagecalibrator delivering high accuracy in a small, easy to use package. Its microprocessor based circuitrygives the user a large number of input/output options and operating modes without unnecessarycomplexity.Commonly used outputs (up to 3) can be stored in the PCL432’s non-volitile memory for quick recall. In addition, an auto-step mode allows the calibrator to step through the selected setpoints at a user defined dwell time of 5 to 60 seconds.INSTALLATIONUNPACKINGRemove the Packing List and verify that you have received all equipment. If you have any questions about the shipment, please call the OMEGA Customer Service Department at 1-800-622-2378 or (203) 359-1660.When you receive the shipment, inspect the container and equipment for any signs of damage. Note any evidence of rough handling in transit. Immediately report any damage to the shipping agent.NOTE: The carrier will not honor any claims unless all shipping material is saved for theirexamination. After examining and removing contents, save packing material and carton in theevent reshipment is necessary.Check to see if your calibrator kit is complete. It should include:1. Carrying case (Qty=1)2. T est leads (Qty=1 set)3. 9V battery (Installed)4. Operator’s Manual (Qty=1)SET-UPBefore beginning, become familiar with the keypad layout and the configuration of the input/output jacks.Remember, these jacks are used in multiple configurations so pay careful attention to how the test leads are connected for the specific application.CJS0994RAF2BAOPERATING PROCEDURE1. Turn on power and select the desired range by depressing the “RANGE SELECT” key, then place theslide switch in the desired position (Read or Source).2. Connections are made as follows:Red Jack - Positive Input/OutputBlack Jack - Negative Input/Output3. The and keys adjust the output value up or down. Holding the ramp keys continuously forseveral seconds will increase the scroll rate. Going beyond the endpoints will cause the output to wraparound, thus allowing a quick return to either end of the scale.4. Three calibration points can be stored in non-volatile memory by scrolling to the desired output, depressing the Store key, and then the desired setpoint key.5. The auto step will automatically step through the stored setpoints at pre-defined intervals. When theauto-step key is first depressed, the display will indicate the dwell time (in seconds) between steps. The factory set value is 15 seconds but you can set this value, from 5 to 60 seconds, by usingthe and keys when the dwell time is being displayed. Once you have scrolled to the desireddwell time, release the or key and wait approximately 3 seconds until the calibrator begins toautomatically step through the 3 setpoints. The calibrator will continue the stepping process until anykey is pressed. Your chosen dwell time will remain in a non-volatile memory location until you chooseto change it.OPERATING CONSIDERATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS1. When operating in the voltage source mode, the PCL432 has the capability to drive loads up to 20 mAas shown in Figure 1.Minimum Resistance:200 mV Range - 10 ohm20 V Range - 1 KohmFigure 1 - Voltage Source Mode2. When reading a voltage, the PCL432 can measure over a range of 0-200 mV or 0-20 Volts.Connections are shown in Figure 2.Figure 2 - Voltage Loop ReadingsACCURACYThe PCL432 is checked against an NIST traceable reference before shipment to verify that each range falls within the 0.05%, ±1 count, of full scale accuracy specification. Long term accuracy should remain within 0.1%, ±1 count, of FSR. All of these ratings are based on a 25°C ambient temperature. A change of 10°C will cause approximately a 1000 ppm change (based on 100 ppm/C temp.) in the output or the equivalent of a 0.1% output change. Therefore, allowances must be made for error caused by wide temperature variations.SPECIFICATIONS Input/output Ranges0 to 200 mV 0 to 20 Volts Accuracy±0.05% ±1 LSD Maximum Load Driving±20 mA Operating Modes ReadorSource Operating T emperature0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F)Storage T emperature-20 to 60°C (-4 to 140°F)T emperature Stability0.01% F .S./°C Setpoints3 user programmed calibration points stored in non-volatile RAM.Power9V alkaline battery Auto Step FunctionT oggle through SP1, SP2 and SP3 with user defined display.Case Size1.43” x 3.15” x 5.7” (36.3 x 80.0 x 144.8mm)Weight 12 oz (340g)MAINTENANCEGenerally, with normal usage, this calibrator should hold its rated specifications for at least 6 months.Beyond this, it should remain within 0.05% of FSR over its useful life, provided it is not abused or tampered with. If after the stated warranty period, the device falls out of calibration, it can be returned to OMEGA Engineering, Inc. for re-calibration.}0-200.0 mV 0-20.00 V。
