Do not use solvents or synthetic fluids that will adversely affect the operation of the pump.1.1Standard AccessoriesThe standard accessories are as follows:∗Carrying case∗G 3/8 (3/8" BSP) plug to blank off the connection for an optional pressure gauge or module.∗G 3/8 (3/8" BSP) to G 1/4 (1/4" BSP) adapter for connecting the optional pressure gauge or module.∗ A Pressure Measurement Hose for PPP-700 with two 1215 Special female connectors.∗ A G 1/4 (¼ BSP) male / 1215 Special male connector to connect the Pressure Measurement Hose to the PPP-700.∗ A 1/4" NPT male / 1215 Special male connector to connect the Pressure Measurement Hose to the instrument to be calibrated.∗ A filling bottle.1.2Optional AccessoriesThe optional accessories are as follows:∗Service kit containing a set of seals, code 8003200∗Relief valves for over-pressure protectionmax. pressure10 to50 bar, code7230600max. pressure50 to200 bar, code7231600max. pressure200 to400 bar, code7232500max. pressure300 to700 bar, code723600022OPERATION1.Connect the optional external pressure module or gauge to the pump (refer to thepicture on page 1) using the appropriate seals. Ensure the measurement range of the connected module is appropriate.2.Remove filling plug and fill reservoir with the appropriate fluid (don t exceed themaximum level) and replace plug.3.Connect the instrument to be tested to the Pressure Measurement Hose andattach it to the pump. Be sure that all the output connectors are properly plugged or connected to an instrument to avoid leakage.4.Adjust the fine control to fully-out . Make sure the stroke selector is set to prime.If not, squeeze handles fully in and turn the selector counterclockwise.5.Ensure that PPP-700 s vent valve is open (turn fully clockwise then one turncounterclockwise).6.Operate handles several times to expel air from the pump (ensure that the liquidinlet tube remains immersed in fluid at all times).7.Make sure no gas is left in the measurement system during the calibration proce-dure. Keep for example a valve connected to the measurement system open while priming the system until all gas is removed or temporarily connect a vacuum pump to remove gas from the measurement system. Remember to remove the vacuum pump from the system before increasing the pressure.8.Close PPP-700 s vent valve fully clockwise.9.Prime the system by squeezing handles together and then releasing, allowingthe fluid to enter the pump cylinder. Repeat as necessary until system is fully primed and low pressure is indicated on either a calibrator or the test instrument. 10.Test how much pressure increase can be done using the fine control. If it is enough,continue to step 12.11.With handles fully squeezed in, select the high pressure position on the strokeselector and operate handles to generate approximate pressure. The rate of the pressure increase depends on the volume of the measurement system. Carefully follow the reading of the pressure indicator in order to avoid exceeding the maxi-mum pressure of the measurement system. NOTE: Smaller handle strokes en-able easier pressure generation at high pressures.12.Adjust pressure to required value using the fine control. Immediately after pres-sure generation, the pressure may fall slightly due to the stretching of the pres-sure measurement hose. Thermodynamic effects may also cause pressure varia-tion. In that case, adjust the pressure back to required value using the fine con-trol.13.The principal tool for releasing pressure from the measurement system is3PPP-700 s fine control. Use of PPP-700 s vent valve is also possible, but re-quires caution in order to avoid pressure shocks to the measurement system.14.To totally release pressure from the system, turn PPP-700 s vent valve one turncounterclockwise. Return the stroke selector to prime position after first squeez-ing handles fully in.A full list of warnings is on page 11.2.1Reservoir Fluid LevelIf the fluid level in the reservoir falls considerably during use, a partial vacuum can be created in the reservoir which may affect the pump performance. To avoid this, simply allow air to enter reservoir by partly unscrewing the filling plug.43TROUBLESHOOTING/MAINTENANCEIf the pump assembly fails to indicate a pressure increase after considerable pump-ing action of the handle, the following items should be examined:•The pump unit may have been mistakenly opened by rotating the handles coun-terclockwise. Correction: Squeeze the handles fully in and rotate clockwise to retighten the pump unit.•Check to assure that the connections between the pump, the hose end and the attached instrument(s) are tight and repeat operating instructions items 6 and 7.Check to assure that all the unused output connectors are properly plugged.If a pressure increase still cannot be obtained, it s possible that one or more of the seals in the Pressure Pump is leaking and needs to be replaced.Do not continue pumping if the functionality of the pump is not normal. Locate the fault before you continue using the pump.3.1About Bonded SealsBonded seals are metallic rings with an elastic material attached to the inner side ofthe ring. They are used in several places in PPP-700. When tighten-ing a connection sealed with a bonded seal, keep in mind that firm hand tightening is recommended. Other tightening methods mayresult in leakage, and possibly broken seals or threads.53.2Seal ReplacementDepending on the frequency of use, the Main Piston Seal (and others) will eventu-ally need replacing. Although the replacement seals are an optional accessory, the same instructions for fitting the seals are included in this manual as in the replace-ment package.3.2.1Main Piston SealWithdraw handle/piston assembly from cylinder by removing the two M5 socket head screws shown in the picture.Clean the piston and the cylinder and remove the old piston seal and the backup ring.Fit the new piston seal (o-ring) and the backup ring. Lightly grease piston seal and the piston using silicone grease. Reassemble.3.2.2Fine Control SealPlace a 19 mm A/F spanner on the flats (see the picture on the adjacent page) anda 27 mm A/F spanner on the large nut and unscrew the piston assembly.Clean the piston and the cylinder and remove the old piston seal and backup ring.Fit the new piston seal (o-ring) and the backup ring. Lightly grease the piston seal and backup ring using silicone grease. Reassemble.3.2.3PPP-700 Vent Valve SealTurn vent valve knob fully counterclockwise and pull out the valve screw from its body. From time to time the pressure media used in the pump should be re-newed.The maximum total volume of the measurement system may not exceed 100 ml(6.1 cubic inches). The volume inside PPP-700 is less than 1 ml (on the pressur-ized side, not the reservoir, with maximum volume in the fine control). The vol-ume of the unpressurized Pressure Measurement Hose is 3.5 ml per meter.Ensure that there always is a reliable pressure indicator connected to the pump when the pump is used.If the pump is accidentally dropped, it may be damaged. Do not use the pump before it is inspected at Omega s service.Please include information on used pressure media when sending the pump for service.106WARNINGS1112A more detailed picture of PPP-700 s output connectors is on page 9.WARRANTY/DISCLAIMEROMEGA ENGINEERING, INC. warrants this unit to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 13 months from date of purchase. OMEGA’s Warranty adds an additional one (1) month grace period to the normal one (1) year product warranty to cover handling and shipping time. This ensures that OMEGA’s customers receive maximum coverage on each product.If the unit malfunctions, it must be returned to the factory for evaluation. 【KCB/2CY型齿轮油泵】工作原理:2CY、KCB齿轮式输油泵在泵体中装有一对回转齿轮,一个主动,一个被动,依靠两齿轮的相互啮合,把泵内的整个工作腔分两个独立的部分。

A 为入吸腔,B为排出腔。

泵运转时主动齿轮带动被动齿轮旋转,当齿化从啮合到脱开时在吸入侧(A)就形成局部真空,液体被吸入。

被吸入的液体充满齿轮的各个齿谷而带到排出侧(B),齿轮进入啮合时液体被挤出,形成高压液体并经泵的排出口排出泵外。

【KCB/2CY型齿轮油泵】结构特点:1.2CY、KCB齿轮式输油泵是卧式回转泵,主要有泵体、齿轮、轴承座、安全阀、轴承及密封装置等机件组成。

2.泵体、轴承座等为灰铸铁件,齿轮用优质碳素钢材制作,亦可根据用户特殊需要用铜材料或不锈钢材料制作。

What is happening?Generally "short cycling" indicates the motor is drawing too much current from the power source forsome reason, and the thermal relay is opening to protect the insulation from the resulting heat build up.If this is what is happening, the thermal relay will reset after 10 to 20 minutes and the motor will again operate. The causes of high current are many. The pump is designed for low viscosity fluid, like diesel or gasoline, and will overheat if used to pump oil orother higher viscosity fluids. The inlet filter screen could be clogged. Bearings could be defectiveresulting in a drag on the armature shaft rotation.See the Troubleshooting Guide in your Owner's Manual packed with your unit or the copy available in the eLibrary for things to check.2. There is fluid leaking out of the small hole in the bottom of the pump body. How do I stop it?This small hole is described as the "weep hole" and is positioned to drain fluid that has leaked passed the dynamic seal between the pump and the motor. It is important that the leak be corrected as soon as possible to avoid damage to the front motor bearing. A new shaft seal will be needed to stop the leak.See the Troubleshooting Guide in your Owner's Manual packed with your unit or the copy available in the eLibrary for things to check.3. What can I do to avoid my pump losing prime when it sets for a time?Maintaining "prime" or keeping fluid in the inlet piping of your pumping system requires that no air leak into that piping. You can depend on there being a check valve in your pump preventing air from entering your system through the nozzle, should it be opened while the pump is off. If your pump is consistently losing prime, check all joints and fittings paying particular attention to the suction tube to pumpconnection, and the various covers and plugs in the pump itself. Teflon® type sealing tape or a sealing compound noted as resistant to fuels is recommended at all threaded pipe connections.4. When it gets hot outside my pump will not pump gasoline but my diesel pump works great,what is going on?A suction pump works by developing a vacuum above the fluid being pumped and depends on atmospheric pressure to force the fluid into that vacuum. The higher the fluid is being raised, the more vacuum is required. If the fluid turns to a gas at a lower vacuum than that required to raise the fluid out of the container, the system is said to be vapor locked. In other words, rather than enough vacuum being developed by the pump to raise the fluid, the pump is instead vaporizing the gasoline and only gas vapor is being pumped. Diesel has a very low vapor pressure at even relatively high temperatures so there is no danger of vapor locking at practical temperatures. Gasoline is blended to have different vapor pressures to aid in winter starting (high vapor pressure) or avoid vapor locking in the summer (lower vapor pressure). The unit of measure used in the industry for this characteristic is Reid's Vapor Pressure. Having winter gas (high Reid's Vapor Pressure), still available in your tank in a hot spring, is a common cause of vapor locking pumps.Once the situation exists, there are a limited number of options. Decrease the "lift" needed to raise the gasoline by filling the tank to the top is the easiest and quickest. This has the added benefit of mixing in a new blend of gasoline with a lower vapor pressure which will average the blended Reid's Vapor Pressure down. Another option is to decrease the temperature by shading and/or cooling the piping and pump in some fashion. In an emergency spraying water on the piping could drop the system temperature sufficiently to allow gasoline to be pumped. Use extreme caution when spraying water around electrical connections and components to avoid the shock hazard.In new systems make sure the suction pump is installed at the lowest position possible as that decreases the lift, and always install the pump and piping out of the hot sun if at all possible. Know what the Reid's Vapor pressure is of the gasoline you buy. Your supplier has, or can get, that characteristic of the gasoline for you. The Reid's vapor pressure should be 9 to 8, or lower, in the summer and 11 to 12 in the winter.。
