Student V olunteers Brought Sunshine to the Elderly
On May Day, Li Yue and Zhang Hua, students from Class Three, Grade Two, went to Sunshine Nursing Home and did some voluntary work. Upon their arrival, Li Yue and Zhang Hua were warmly welcomed, and respectfully, they presented the elderly with flowers and fruits. Then, they started working at once, cleaning the windows and sweeping the floor. Everything done, they sat in the yard chatting with the elderly people.
When it was time for the volunteers to leave, the elderly people thanked them for their kindness. They said it was such a

Recently，a survey has been carried out in our school whether the students have adapted to the life in senior high school. As can be seen from the result of the survey, opinions are divided.
About 30% of the students hold the opinion that life in senior high school is far from relaxing. The reasons are as
follows. Firstly, the subjects they are learning now are obviously more difficult. Besides, they have to do endless homework after class, which leaves them little time for exercise and other activities.
On the contrary, others say they have adapted to the new life and have begun to enjoy it. They find the courses are more interesting and the activities are more colorful, which surely benefit them a lot.

Li Hua is a student of Class Two. He has been learning English for about five years. There are various ways to get relaxed for middle school students. Good morning everyone,
In today’s world，being able to master a foreign language will be：helpful in our life．
Here I’d like to share with you my opinions about my English learning. First of all，I think it useful to learn some grammar and remember as many useful sentence patterns as I can．As we all know，the more we read，the better our English will be．So I spend much time reading English newspapers and magazines after class，which helps to improve my English．Besides，TV and radio programmes are of great help for my listening．

Recently our have had a discussion about whether it is
necessary to have daily homework．Different classmates have different opinions．
70％of my classmates are willing to accept daily homework．They think homework helps them review what has been taught in class．Besides，by doing daily homework, they can better understand and memorize their lessons．Furthermore，their skills in managing time call also be improved．
However,30％of the students have different ideas．They believe that homework reduces their amount of time with their families，not to mention the time for other activities．With much homework to do, students feel tired, and will gradually lose interest in their lessons．
