Teaching Aims:

(1) Let the students know the importance of English grammar.
(2) Try to build up the students’ confidence in themselves.
Teaching Important Points:
Help the students recognize the differences between the present perfect tense and the past simple tense.
Teaching Difficult Points:
Help the students use present perfect tense with verbs to describe events happen at a particular point in time and to describe events that can continue over a period of time.
Teaching Aids:
The multimedia, a projector, the blackboard, chalk
Teaching Procedures:

1. The structure of the present perfect tense.
After reading these sentences, ask the students to find the structure of these sentences with the present perfect tense.
1). have/has+done 2). have/has+not+done 3). have/has+been+done
对于2-6这几个任务,学生要通过探究合作的方式总结现在完成时的用法,然后学生代表展示,最后教师点拨。
2. The usage of the present perfect tense. (Read, observe and summarize)
(1) They have put up a lot of high-rise buildings recently.
(2) My wife has just bought a beautiful dress from one of the shops there.
(3) ---Have you had your lunch yet?
---Yes, I have. I have just had it.
(4)The rain has already stopped.
Usage1强调过去发生的动作对现在造成的影响或结果,常用状语有:already, yet, never, ever, just, before等。
(1)She has lived in Beijing since she came to China.
(2)They have been friends for forty years.
(3)How many words have you learned this year?
Usage2表动作或状态从过去开始,一直持续到现在,可能还会继续进行下去,常用时间状语since+时间点, for+时间段, since then, ever since, this year.
3. The present perfect tense in some fixed sentence patterns.
(1) It’s been six years since we last saw each other.
(2) It/This is the third time that I have seen the film.
(3) This is the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten.
学生展示后教师要适当点拨。
4. Check if the sentences are right and tell us the reasons why the sentences are wrong.
①I have bought the new car for a month. ( )

③She has joined the army for half a year. ( )
④She has been in the army for half a year. ( )

5. Read the following sentences and pay special attention to the phrases in bold(黑体,粗体).
(1) It has been very successful, so far.
(2) Up to now, I have understood everything the teacher has said.
(3) We have had very good weather this winter, till now.
Can you sum up the words and phrases appearing in the present perfect tense?
教师点拨:so far=by now=up to now=till now=to date, recently, lately, already, yet, ever, never, just, in/during/over the past few years, ever since, since.
6. Compare the two sentences in each group and tell the differences between the present perfect tense and the past simple tense.
①He has read that book.
②He read that book last year.
①He has gone to America.
②He went to America three years ago.
教师点拨:现在完成时表示某一已经完成的动作对现在造成的结果或影响,强调的是现在的情况,所以不能与表示过去的时间状语连用。
而一般过去时只表示某一动作或状态在过去发生或存在过,与现在不发生联系,它可以与表示过去的时间状语连用。

Step5: Record after teaching
现在完成时是英语中的一种重要时态,是高考的热点时态。
本节课始终以学生为中心,让学生展示对本时态的理解,符合新课程的教学理念。
我基本完成了既定的教学目标和任务,教学重点和难点突出。
这是本节课的两点成功之处。
不过,还有几点不足之处,①语法的教学应该多设置情境,便于学生理解;②学生基础不好,课堂只有20多个学生能跟上教师的节奏,在今后的教学中还应该关注全体学生;③对于一些重点的东西,教师应该多强调,多点拨。
希望今后能多向别的老师学习,多听优秀教师的课,提升自我的综合素质。
