Maybe you still feel lucky that your information has not been leaked or at least you haven't suffered from it. But have you ever received crank calls(骚扰电话)? Have you ever received text messages telling you won a big lottery(彩票)? I have, and I feel anxious about it.
Well, this is only the beginning.
You might be broadcast live online without knowing it when you are dinning or shopping. Different decorating companies call you right after you bought a new house. Insurance(保险)companies call you nonstop right after you had a new baby. Sending an original picture on WeChat to others might leak your locations. Flight information leakage might lead to targeted fraud(欺诈).
"The moment we log in, we start to run naked online." This joke reflects the reality that personal information is excessively collected, illegally used and traded at the age of big data. Sometimes we have nothing to do but to close the web pages or hang up the phone in danger. We even try to tell ourselves that the situation is still in control because we are saying No. However, there are unlucky people. In August 2016, Xu Yuyu, a girl from a poor family in Shandong, received a phone call and was swindled(诈骗)9,900 yuan, which was her college fee, and then died from a sudden heart-attack because of the fraud.
Protecting privacy is our way of protecting the civilization(文明)and our dignity(尊严)both in online world and realistic society. Instead of stepping back again and again, we should step out and defend our privacy.
(1)What does the writer think of the information leaked?
A Lucky.
B Worried.
C Eager.
(2)What does "it" in Paragraph 2 refer to?
A Dinning.
B Shopping.
C Broadcast live.
(3)What does the underlined word "excessively" mean?
A 过多地.
B 适量地.
C 少量地.
(4)Which of the following is NOT true according to the passage?
A The website you browsed last time could be pushed on your phone all of a
sudden. B Sometimes we have no choice but to close the web pages or hang up the phone in danger. C We often tell ourselves that the situation is still in control because we are saying Yes.
(5)What is the best title of the passage?
A Broadcast live online is very popular
B Your privacy is running "naked"
C Say No to civilization

Rowing is a good sport for people. The sport is not so commonly played in China, but almost half of all American high schools have rowing teams. Recently, the school where I study had a rowing season that gave me many great experiences.
During the season, we practiced rowing a lot. We got up at six every Saturday morning and practiced for three hours on the river. Each one of us had an oar(桨), and we each rowed one with both hands. Together we pulled the oars, and the oars pushed the water back so the boat would move forward. After three hours of practice, we often felt very tired, because rowing is a very physical sport. When you row, you do a lot of work with your thighs(大腿)and back.
Though the practices were very hard, I chose to do them because I like the joy hard work brings. At every practice, I always did my best. Even when the coaches were not three, I kept rowing hard with my hands because I wanted to find out how well I could do. In order to move the boat fast, everyone on the team must keep the same pace(速度), so we needed
to work together.
The hard work I did during the rowing helped me develop my teamwork qualities. The experience also taught me that if you want to get something, you need to pay something first. As Americans like to say, "No pains no gains!"
(1)We can infer that the writer is ______.
A a Chinese student studying in America
B a rowing coach from America
C a sports newspaper reporter
(2)How often do the students practice rowing?
A Every three hours.
B Once a season.
C Once a week.
(3)In order to row fast, the team members had to ______.
A use their hands to push the water
B row at the same speed
C use their thighs and backs less
(4)From the story, we know that the writer ______.
A doesn't like hard work
B likes to challenge himself
C is not good at physical sports
(5)What does the writer want to tell us in the last paragraph?
A There is no pain in hard work.
B A strong body is very important for our
dreams. C We don't achieve success if we don't work hard.

Life is not perfect. It has never been and never will be. We often complain(抱怨)about the weather, the traffic, and the weeds in our yard. We complain about tight clothing, misplaced keys, and late planes.(1)______ Here are some useful steps to help you complain less: Consider the importance of accepting the change.(2)______ But when given the choice, most of us would prefer to give life rather than drain(耗尽)life with our words.(3)______ Life
is not always going to serve up what we would like(or even except)at every turn. There
will be trouble. Again, this is okay. And the sooner we stop holding out for a world around us, the sooner we can embrace the fact that our contribution(奉献)is far more needed than our pleasure.
Avoid beginning conversations with a complaint. Take notice of how often we begin conversations with a complaint. Often, when we talk with a complaint, well begin complain too. So, try not to begin conversations with a complaint. And try spreading some cheer with your opening line instead.
Notice your triggers(触发).(4)______ Morning, evening, or late afternoon? When you are drinking coffee or having lunch with your friends? Maybe it is around the water cooler with your coworkers? Take notice. Then, avoid triggers if possible.
Complaining serves little purpose in our lives. We'd live happier without it. Moving forward, let's embrace the positive instead.
A. Embrace(拥抱)an imperfect world.
B. Many of us complain only because we never consider there may be a better way.
C. Is there a time period of the day you want to complain more than others?
D. It isn't enjoyable to spend time around people who often complain.
E. How might we begin to overcome the habit of complaining?

Do you know something about the Akuapem people? They live in eastern Ghana(加纳), where the sunshine hugs all the time. They are very friendly. Now let's have a look at how the Akuapem people receive a visitor.
A visitor is often welcomed warmly in a family of Akuapem. After the visitor is welcomed
into the house, he is offered a seat and water at the very beginning, for the host(主人)thinks that the visitor must have come from a very long trip and is in need of water. Then the host family greet the visitor by saying "Akwaaba. "More interestingly, if there is a group of visitors, the host will greet the visitors from right to left. And the host shakes only with his right hand, because the left hand is regarded dirty according to the Akuapem people.
Next, the visitor is asked how his trip was and why he has come. While the conversation is going on, the wife and children, especially girls, are cooking food for the visitor. The visitor can choose the food. After the visitor has finished eating, the host and the visitor continue their conversation. Usually this is a short one since the visitor is getting ready to say goodbye. When the visitor is leaving, he is often given some food to take along. He is also accompanied (陪伴)by one of the children to the nearest station. The child who accompanies the visitor will not come back home until the visitor leaves safely.
No matter if he is a close friend or just a passer-by(过路人), this is always the way that the friendly Akuapem people receive a visitor.
(1)What is the visitor offered at first by the family of Akuapem? ______
(2)Why does the host shake only with his right hand? ______
(3)Who are cooking food while the host is chatting with the visitor? ______
(4)When will the child who accompanies the visitor to the station come back home? ______ (5)What does the article mainly talk about? ______
