2) absent adj. 缺席的,不在场的(+from) Three members of the class were absent
this morning. 今天早晨该班有三人缺席。
He is absent on business. 他因事缺席。
He is absent from Hong Kong. 他不在香港。
embarrass sb. with sth. / by doing sth. 做……使某人尴尬/害羞/窘迫
Be careful not to embarrass others by asking embarrassing questions. 注意不要问令人尴尬的问题,那样会使人难堪。

辨析:especially 和specially especially adv.强调尤其、特别地、格外地 specially adv. 强调专门地、特意地 I bought a present specially for you. The ring is of especial importance to their marriage.
