《董贝父子》是一部批判现实主义小说，被誉为狄更斯“最有力量的小说”作品。本文将从查尔斯·狄更斯的小说《董贝父子》入手，探索英国的社会文化发展问题。结合时代背景和英国社会现状，分析英国的社会文化出现问题的原因。通过在《董贝父子》小说中重点情节再现的基础上，看英国的社会文化发展应当何去何从。分析了社会存在决定社会意识，社会意识对社会存在具有反作用。人类文化强大的载体在于“以人为本”，打造文化强国的基础在于“正式问题”，最终提出“百年大计，教育为本”的重要命题。

Abstract

Dombey and Son is a critical realism novel, known as "the most powerful novel" of Charles Dickens. This article starts from Charles Dickens's novel Dombey and Son, and explores the British social and cultural development. Combining the time background and the current status of British society, it analyzes the reason why there are so many social and cultural problems. Through Dombey and Son, let’s see where the British social and cultural development should go, on the basis of plot reproduction. Expounding the social existence determines social consciousness, social consciousness has a counteractive effect on the social existence. To keep the development of British society healthy and stable, good social culture can never be absent. And then the powerful carrier of British culture lies in “people-oriented”, building the foundation of cultural power lies in "facing the problem", finally putting forward the important propositions “education is the foundation”.
