如何写好英语作文评语

笔者有一次和一位学生谈心,她告诉笔者,她以前几乎不写英语作文,但有一次心情好,写了一篇,老师给了她一个excellent的评语,自从那以后她对英语作文产生了极大的兴趣。她的话语对笔者的启

发很大,事实上评语是一种批阅的方式,也是提高英语写作能力中

的一个重要环节,它便于学生更加清楚地了解自己在英语作文中的

优缺点,有利于沟通师生之间的情感,调动学生的写作积极性,促

进学生养成良好的写作习惯。

教师在写英语评语的时候,总是一成不变地使用综合类评语,如“great”,“good”等。起始阶段对学生有一定的激励作用,但若千篇一律的话,就会使学生无法正确认识自己的写作水平,并最终导致

学生对教师的这类评价视而不见。

那么如何写好英语作文评语?笔者就英语作文评语方面谈一点自己

的看法。

第一,和谐民主性评语

评语是写给学生看的,所以必须使用学生能看得懂的英语来写,要

切合学生的实际,符合学生的个性和心理发展。每个学生在思想意识、行为标准等方面都很具有个性化色彩的成分,他们最想得到教

师的认同和尊重。教师要让学生在评语中能领悟出教师对他是否关心、有信心和责任心。如“you can do better now than you did before.”“the content of your writing is great, but i hope you can pay attention to the use of punctuations.”“you are a smart girl/ boy. if you put all your heart into study, you will succeed.” “you are a boy/girl full of ambitions, so i hope you can have a bright future.” 因此教师要充分利用作业评语,加深师生情感交流。评语应言辞恳切,切中要害;或热情鼓励、或委婉告诫……通过评语,教师尽可把祝福、问候、关切、激励、真诚、信任之情化作甘

甜的泉水,去滋润学生的心田,引起师生教与学的共鸣,达到教与

学两者的和谐与统一。

第二,激励沟通性评语

鼓励性评语的作用主要是保护和培养学生的英语作文兴趣和自信。教师们都知道,大多数学生害怕英语写作,但一旦学生得到了被尊重、被表扬、被认可的需要时,他们的写作热情就能倍增。希望得到教师的表扬和鼓励,这是学生精神上的需要。作文较差的学生,很容易在这方面心灰意冷,而丧失进取心,所以他们更需要鼓励性的评语。这就要求教师要善于发现局部的闪光点,只有大到全篇的审题立意、构思和过渡,小到开头结尾、一句话、一个词,甚至一个标点,去寻找值得表扬学生的点点滴滴。值得注意的是,这些表扬必须是真实的、准确的,如果让学生看出有一点勉强,就会挫伤其自尊心,就适得其反了。

一、宏观性评价

1. 整体印象类评语

super!excellent!perfect!wonderful!fantastic! marvelous!采用整体印象类评语对于起始阶段的学生有较好的激励作用,但若千篇一律德使用此类评语,就会使学生无法正确认识自己的写作水平,最终导致教师的评语失去应有的作用。

2. 规范导知类评语

beautiful.clear. wonderful.good hand-writing.

youer careful of using pronounciation.

glad to see your improvement in handwriting.

im expecting clearer/more beautiful hand-writing from you next time.

youd better pay more attention to word order.

better be more careful of your spelling.

its important to compose a draft beforhand.

3. 情感调控类评语

i appreciate your handwriting.

you have a good knowledge of english proverbs.

you are quite aware of making meaningful sentences.

you are richer than others in collecting and using typical sentences and idioms.

im expecting greater progress from you in writing. come on. if you need my help, never hesitate to come to me.

警句:

hard work leads to success.

not to advance is to go back.

no one is without faults.

keeping is harder than winning. keep it up.

二、微观写作技能方面的评语

1. 专项点拨类评语

its proper to use the proverb in para.2 quite clever.

you are good at using attributive clauses in your writing.

the struck sentence is perfectly used.

youd better use third person in the first para.

its good to use the past tense in your writing.

2. 佳句欣赏类评语

教师可以在句尾统一标注赞美性的符号(如e--excellent)或标识不

同星级等。

what a wonderful sentence using cover.

its really clever of you to use this beautiful sentence.

the inverted sentence is well written.

3. 谋篇布局类评语

a good beginning. a perfect ending. well-organized.perfectly-expanded.

the first para. makes a good beginning.

the last para. makes a perfect ending.

all the points have been covered.

its clever of you to use a topic sentence at the beginning of a para.

its wonderful to use proper conjunctions between sentences.

you are good at developing a para.

you have made great progress in developing a passage.

i am glad to see the sentence conherence in your last para.

better pay more attention to the relationship between sentences.

its really wonderful to start/end your sentences with adverbials.

在起始年级应侧重对学生写作行为规范的引领,重在对学生进行词

句方面的引导;对高年级学生则应侧重对文章的结构、行文的逻辑、句子的变化等方面的指点和引导。
