To second child or not? It is a question!
Parenthood comes with a price too high to pay: wenku.baidu.com citizen said "Diapers, milk powder, clothing it’s all about money. And prices continue to go up as they grow up. It’s stressful to raise a second child today." Some of grandparents disagree that, they wish to see a large families prevails. An senior citizen said "It would be nice to have two children in a family. They could grow up together and take care of each other. In our generation, my parents raised several kids. Young parent nowadays think too much of themselves, they just don’t want to shoulder more responsibilities."
Introduce the second-child policy
A researcher for the Chinese government announced that all couples in China will be allowed to have a second child in two years if either parent is an only child. The change will allow about 15 to 20 million people to expand their families, but only about half of them are willing to do so, according to research by the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
• The necessity:
• 1. Ageing society is also an unavoidable result of a one-child policy. If the current population policy continues, there will be a decrease of 100 million in the labor force aged 18 to 50. By then, China's society will become less active, and the strong momentum in economic growth will slow down.

The necessity of changing the policy
Introduce the second child policy
Mother's troubles
For working Chinese mothers, a second child means an interruption or even an end to their career. And for many job-seeking women, even entertaining the idea risks losing their chance of landing a job. Under Chinese law, women are entitled to maternity leave of at least 90 days with full pay, and the period will double if she wants a second child, a horrible intimidation for most employers.
My opinion
In fact, there are more choice for young couples, but also a necessity for some cities. The relax to China´s family planning policy is a positive response to the current population structure. But as long as other supporting policies don’t change, rearing children remains an expensive undertaking in China, which may prevent qualified couples from having a second child. And, as everywhere in the world, we all want the very best for our children. So here we call for more complement policies to help to build ideal-sized family in the future
2.Parents' love for an only child is a "double edged sword": the strong love will probably spoil children and encourage children's laziness and capriciousness. Many of today's children growing up in a one-child family are somewhat indifferent, selfish and fragile in character, and this is only the first generation following the adoption of the onechild policy. What will happen in the second and third generations?
