Backward Masking是指用錄音室技術，把一些特別的歌詞，用倒轉的方向錄入一首歌中，在正 常播放下是無法聽出，但把錄音帶或唱片以逆轉方向播放，就可聽到有另一把聲音唱另一些歌詞 。這是一種巧妙的方法，把歌詞直接送入人的潛意識中，人用正常意識網是無從發現及過濾。在 不覺間，人就完全吸收了歌詞之內容訊息，其行為、性格及習慣就被扭轉過 來 。
