Keep In Touch–To our friendshipsA father is a treasure, a brother is a comfort, but a friend is both. Dear teachers and students, I am Patrick form Dubai Class 1. Today I just bid farewell to a group of exchange students from Hong Kong, that let me down duo to we just had a really harmonious time with each other, I guess some of you are the same as me, however maybe some of you don’tknow much about them, so I will tell you what we just has been these days.On 13 of march, Igot off the bus as normal on my way to school did not know what will come, later when I arrived at my class - Dubai 1,I realized that would be the first day of the exchange students visit our school and they would come to our class for some language communications soon. So we started to prepare the welcoming procedure, I remember that all of our classmates were very warm-hearted,some carried the chairs and some did for the cleaning, we were divided into three groups. In the first period, we started to introduce to each other and at the beginning, our students are little bit nervous so I played the role to be the first and had a great conversation with Jay who is a Korean and also Blarneyfrom Scotland. Therefore, for the first day, the function ofthis activity is try to practice our English and theirmandarin, so it’s could be the foundation of more deep conversation for later days. As for the second exchange day , it’s really interesting for me because we played basketball together and role-played taking order in hotel. For the taking order part I had good time with Georgeas my tutor, he taught me lots’ of the nouns for business use especially in hotel in order to help me increase my vocabulary, I think that could be a really effective way of improve my English, also he let me played the role of seller in bar to serve drinks for customers. And give me as well my other friends some useful comments. At the break time we had a very competitivebasketball match, though all of us are green hand in basketball, and we all did not play very professional,nobody cares because it’s really fun. In addition, my classmates broughtthe Hong Kong students some Chinesela tiao as small gifts, so I thought they will keep as memory. In the end we took some photos and me and my classmates all had a really great time with them.The third day which is the final day, they came to class with the task to have free talkand One of our groups did a fantastic presentation to about the Dream Company, so in my group we also had a discussion of our own company.I was the main boss Ithought we need have a namefirst. And the size of our company and the type ofour company were also very essential.It could be Plc or a ltd maybe partnership.Then what industry that could be suitable to take in and we should try to lower our production costs and add more value to increase the revenue. Therefore our company could be profitable. For other factors , we also need to set the business objectives to be actual,like clean management for instance, the recruitment department which must have the detail of interview.For training parts, our employees must be motivated for good output , and for marketing department, pricing needs to meet the needs of our target customers. We also talked about our competitors and the promotion for advisements or the sponsorships. Finally, we decided that we plan to set a plc for entertainment which involves mixed industries and withdifferent parts inside our company and plans to promote on the some social media like Face book.Unfortunately Ican not keep them. All I can do is just sending them off to their bus and save the memories.To sum up. This exchange program is really colorful and meaningful; for me I learnt not only some knowledgeout of our books but also the friendship and teamwork sprite to cooperate with others in a group to complete a task, and I suggest that our students to have more self confidence when they speak to some native speakers, and don’t be shy do the best that you can be , then yourability of Englishskills would be improved a lot ,and I also see some students who were not very positive when they spoke Englishbecause they were struggling with grammars and played on their sell phones. I hope our teacher could give more supports of opportunity to our students and encourageus to speak English more.I also think we need to be more hard-working and need have a plan whatever it’s in short run or long run , so we can be great and I think I will go to Hong Kong to see my friends if I have a chance in the future , Because friendship needs to be keep in touch.。
