求加薪时，其他需要注意的事项：
Asking for a raise requires preparation, skill, timing and a fallback plan. It also demands wrapping your mind around a basic fact many employees miss: A pay increase is based on performance and the market for your skills.
⼤多数⼈对于关键对话的本能是避⽽不谈，所以很少职场⼈⼠，尤其职场新⼈知道如何讨论加薪。

公开课上有位⼩⼥⽣表⽰如果是她会选择在KTV⾥跟⽼板谈加薪的事情，因为觉得这样能够减少尴尬。

这当然取决于个⼈的沟通习惯，跟⽼板的关系等，不过95%以上的加薪会谈都应该预约好时间，在办公室进⾏。

尤其是第⼆点，make sure you understand the company policy. 很多拥有成熟薪酬体系的公司，会在每年的固定1-2个时间段进⾏⼯作评估，决定是否加薪。

It's a standard procedure. 如果你硬是在这以外的时间提出来，难度⾃然增加不少。

good timing:
1) You just completed a major project.
2) You’re given more responsibility or a new position. (⽼员⼯离职，新员⼯接收。
