2. Master some useful sentence structures.
(1) I like hamburgers. He/She likes hamburgers.
(2) I don’t like ice-cream. He/She doesn’t like hamburgers.
(3) Do you like broccoli? Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
(4) Does he/she like broccoli? Yes, he/she does. / No, he/she doesn’t.

Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greet students as usual and check the homework.
2. Review what we have learned in the last period.
3. Ask students to work with their partners and make conversations.
4. Give students an example.
A: What's this\that in English?
B: What color is it?
A: It's orange.
5. Students ask and answer freely.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Teach activity 1a
(1) Ask students to read the new words in 1a.
words: hamburgers, tomatoes, oranges, ice-cream, salad, bananas, strawberries, pears, milk, bread.
(2) Ask students to read the conversation.
A: Do you like bananas?
B: Yes, I do.
(3) Ask students to work in pairs and make their own conversation.
2. Teach activity 1b&1c
(1) Ask students to read the three conversations.
(2) Ask students to work with their partners and practice the conversations.
(3) Tell students to listen and number the conversations [1-3].
(4) Check the correct answers with the class.
Answers: 2, 1, 3.
Step 3: Practice
1. Teach activity 2a
(1) Ask students to read the words in the box and try to recite them.
(2) Play the recording for students and ask them to circle the food they hear.
(3) Check the correct answers with the class.
2. Teach activity 2b
(1) Ask students to read the conversation again and make sure they know what the conversation is about.
(2) Play the recording for a second time and ask students to fill in the blanks.
(3) Invite some students to tell their answers.
(4) Check the correct answers with the class.
(5) Ask students to work in pairs and practice the conversation.
3. Teach activity 2c
(1) Ask students practice the conversations above and give answers that are true for them.
(2) Students write down their answers and discuss with their partners.
(3) Invite some students to tell their answers and some groups to act out their conversations.
Step 4: Consolidation
Teach activity 2d
1. Ask students to read the conversation first and make sure they know what is the conversation about.
2. Ask students to work with their partners and role-play the conversation.
3. Explain some main words and language points to students.
4. Invite some students to act out the conversations.
