What’s New in the IC 5.1.41USR2 Release
Following enhancement has been made to OSS in the IC 5.1.41 USR2 release.
s Enhanced support for inherited connections and supply sensitivity information
A new SKILL environment variable simPrintInhConnAttributes allows you to
prevent the creation of pseudo ports thereby preserving the inherited connections information in the netlists.

s Support for lxRemoveDevice property to remove parasitic devices. For more information, see Open Simulation System Reference, topic Removing Parasitic Devices.
What’s New in the IC 5.1.41 Release
There are no new changes to Open Simulation System (OSS) in the 5.1.41 release.
What’s New in the IC 5.0.33 Release
This section covers the enhancements and problems fixed for Open Simulation System (OSS) in 5.0 release.
Enhancements
Improved Inherited Connection Support
Beginning in 5.0, users may control whether or not to have an error message issued in the event that an inherited connection resolves to a default. This is useful in situations where circuit blocks with inherited connections are being reused by designers that may not know to define the net property that defines the global connection. Defaulting to a connection in this case may cause a design error. This new capability safeguards against such mistakes. CDF support of the netset property
Beginning in5.0,CDF parameters of type netset are now supported.This means that default inherited connections can be stored with a cell,and users can be prompted to provide netset values when placing a cell.
Support of schematic pcells
The OSS netlisters now support schematic pcells.
Improved Documentation
Documentation of SKILL functions included in the OSS Simulation Environment has been added/upgraded in this release.
Several improvements were made to OSS in order to enhance overall product quality.Please refer to the table below for details.
