小学英语教师外出学习心得体会
As an English teacher at a Chinese elementary school, I recently had the opportunity to go out and attend a teacher training program abroad. The experience was both rewarding and challenging, providing me with invaluable insights into modern teaching methods, and pushing me to reassess the way that I approach my teaching.
The training program took place in the United States, and it was a real eye-opener for me. I was able to engage with English-language experts, and I learned about their approaches to teaching young students. Of course, English is a global language, and teaching it in China is slightly different than in the United States. For example, many of my students are starting to learn English at a very young age, and they need basic language communication skills.
During the training, I learned about many innovative and contemporary teaching methods such as the use of interactive technology, storytelling, and games in the classroom to promote language acquisition. I was also able to see how creativity can be used to help students learn grammar and vocabulary, in ways that are engaging and not boring.
One aspect of the training that was particularly impactful for me was the emphasis on critical thinking skills. In China, there is often a focus on rote memorization and repetition, and I found that this tended to stifle my students' ability to think creatively and critically. However, through the training, I learned about fun activities and games that can be used to encourage students to ask
questions and come up with their own ideas.
Another significant takeaway for me was the importance of communication between the teacher and the students. I found that building a strong relationship with my students was crucial for successful learning. Just like every student is an individual in their learning, they also have a unique personality and communication style. As a teacher, it is important to recognize and appreciate these differences and communicate accordingly.
Overall, attending the teacher training program was an enlightening experience. It gave me a fresh perspective on teaching, and it enabled me to bring new ideas and techniques into my classroom. I am grateful for the opportunity to have attended the training, and I am excited to use what I have learned to inspire my students and help them become confident, competent English speakers.。
