Unit 8 Our dreams 单元解读一、单元内容体现的课标理念本单元在英语核心素养的育人价值下进行,围绕单元主题“人与社会”范畴,并基于“我的职业理想”话题展开教学。

1.语言能力:跟读音频,关注语音的连读,模仿跟读,关注语音语调;基于职业理想的对话式故事学习,引导学生关注want to do和want to be中的表达对将来的期许的含义及其用法。

通过Grammar time的学习,掌握want to be和want to do的基本用法。

在进行语法操练时将控制性训练和非控制性训练相结合,引导学生学以致用。

2.文化意识:能通过学习Story time,引导学生要为了实现自己的梦想而不懈努力。

同时引导学生了解职业及其所承担的责任。

有关职业理想的讨论贯穿了单元的整体,教师需要在教学过程中,积极引导学生树立正确的职业观:职业无贵贱,但想要达成自己的职业理想是需要学生脚踏实地,努力奋斗的。

3.思维品质:基于Story time的学习,学生已经初步明确,首先要有自己的理想,没有理想的人是缺乏内驱力的,也就难以有所成就。

同时,要逐步推进自己实现理想,就需要不断奋斗努力。

在有关给予故事主要人物的建议中,学生的发散和联想性思维可以得到极大的锻炼,有助于培养和提升其思维品质。

同时,在Grammar time的学习中,教师也尊重学生主体地位,鼓励学生通过观察发现,归纳总结和小组合作探究的方式对目标句型进行结构梳理,有助于进一步发展其思维能力,提升思维品质。

4.学习能力:本单元的每堂课都尊重了学生的学习主体地位,并通过层层递进的教学活动,引导学生独立思考,合作探究。

通过观察来归纳总结want to be和want to do的句型结构,通过举例辨析来挖掘两者间的区别。

一、单元内容分析(略)二、单元学情分析本课的教学对象是即将面临小升初的六年级学生,他们既有对小学生活的不舍,也有对未知生活的畅想,因此,本单元内容贴近学生心理,易于引发学生共鸣。

下面笔者根据《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版)》中的英语学科核心素养四要素语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力做具体分析。

1.语言能力(1)语言知识学生对本单元的核心句型“What do you want to be in the future?”及其回答“I want to be/do...”非常熟悉,早在三(下)Unit5How old are you?Cartoon time中就接触过want+名词的用法,在四(下)Unit7What’s the matter?中也呈现了“I want to...”。

因此,本单元更需要教师挖掘单元主题的深意与内涵,引导学生通过回顾、梳理多年的生活与学习,来明确对自己的定位和期待,给予他们坚持梦想的决心和坚守梦想的信念。

(2)语言技能经过四年的英语学习,学生已具备了基本的语言能力,能根据上下文和图片推测词义,但梦想类词汇和相关句型还有待学习;能小组合作,模仿所学的结构进行初步应用,但创新性和发散性还需加强;能根据导图准确、多元描述相关主题,但深刻性与创新性还需加强;能在真实场景中和同伴交流,并简单介绍自己过去的经历以及对未来的畅想,但文本的逻辑性和丰富性还有待加强。

2.文化意识学生能找到自己的梦想,但对梦想究竟是什么、为什么有这个梦想还需进一步明确;学生能对梦想保持好奇和一定时间内的动力,但持久性还需加强。

3.思维品质虽然学生对相关主题有所涉猎,但思维的准确性和多元性还需加强,深刻性也需要教师的引导。

4.学习能力学生能够从图片、对话、描述性文字中提取关键信息,但概括能力和重建交流的能力还需提升;能较好地把握整体文本,在教师的引导下分析文章脉络,但逻辑性和创新性还需加强;能小组合作完成相关任务,乐于分享;能够在教师指导下对自己的学习策略进行较简单的监控和调整。
