How to Convince Your College Friends to Give Money to Poor People
Hi everyone! Today I want to talk to you about something really important - helping people who don't have much money or food or a nice place to live. I know it might seem like a big grown-up topic, but I think even kids like us can do our part to make the world a little bit better.
You see, there are lots of places in the world where families are very very poor. They live in small houses or even just tents or shacks made of scraps. They don't have clean water to drink or enough food to eat. The children can't go to good schools because their parents can't pay for it. It makes me really sad to think about kids my age not having a warm bed, toys, or good meals every day.
But we're lucky - we live in a nice neighborhood with comfy homes, plenty of food, and good schools. Our parents work hard so we can have everything we need. I think we should share
some of what we have with kids who aren't as fortunate. Even just a little bit of money can go a long way to providing meals, clean water, medicine, and school supplies for poor families.
I know what you might be thinking - "But I'm just a kid, what can I do?" Well, a lot actually! We may be young, but we're part of a big college community filled with caring people. If we all pitch in even just a few dollars, it adds up quickly. The tough part is convincing everyone to actually donate.
So how can we get our college friends to give some money to charity for poor people? Here are some ideas that could work:
First, we need to help them understand why it's important. You could make a poster or presentation showing what life is really like for families in poverty - the small, crammed houses, the dirty water they have to drink, the lack of schools and books. Seeing those images and facts can touch people's hearts and inspire them to want to help.
Next, make it easy and fun for them to donate! You could host a bake sale or lemonade stand and donate the profits. Or set up a coin drive competition between dorms or clubs to see who can collect the most spare change. Let people vote with their dollars for their favorite cause or area to support. The key is making it simple and engaging.
It also helps to find a local or personal connection to the cause. Maybe there's a particular village or community your college has done service trips to in the past that you could raise money for. Or maybe you know a student on campus who grew up in poverty themselves. Putting a human face and story on the issue makes it feel more real and urgent.
Additionally, you can appeal to people's interests and talents as motivation. Like if you have an artistic friend, they could donate their time to create crafts or art pieces that get auctioned off for the cause. Or a musical group could perform a charity concert. Making it connected to things people already enjoy makes them more willing to get involved.
Finally, it's important to make sure every single donation gets valued and recognized, no matter how small. Put donors' names on a "Thank You" banner or shout them out on social media. Give little prizes or shout-outs for creative or big donations. And definitely celebrate and publicize when you reach money milestones. Feeling appreciated makes people happier to give.
I know it might seem hard at first to get a bunch of college kids to care about something so serious. But I really believe that if we make it easy, fun, and personal, we can open a lot of hearts
and minds. A bake sale here, a spare change drive there - it all adds up to changing lives for families who don't have access to basic needs and opportunities.
Just imagine how awesome it would feel to tell a little kid, "Hey, because of the money we raised, you get to go to school now just like me!" Or showing them a picture of the new well your donations paid for, finally giving their community clean drinking water. That's a pretty cool feeling, right?
What's even cooler is knowing that since we're just kids ourselves, this is probably just the start of a lifetime of earning money and being able to give back however we can. Every little bit counts, and it's never too early to start caring about others and making the world a little bit better.
So what do you say, friends? Should we make this our big project this semester and see how much money we can raise for those in need? I know we can do it if we work together! Let's show the world that even kid college students are smart and kind enough to make a difference. Who's with me?

How to Get Your College Friends to Give Money to Poor Kids
Hey guys! Today I want to talk to you about something super important. There are lots of kids out there who don't have enough food, or clothes, or even a safe place to live. That's no fun at all! As college students, we're lucky to have everything we need. But those poor kids aren't so lucky.
I think we should all donate some money to help kids in poor neighborhoods and countries. It's the nice thing to do, and it can make a huge difference in their lives. But I know some of you might not want to give up your money. That's why I'll explain why you should donate and how to do it. Listen up!
First off, why should you care about poor kids you'll never meet? Well, think about how you'd feel if you were really poor and hungry all the time. You'd be sad, scared, and have no energy to play or go to school. No kid should have to live like that! By giving a little bit of money, you can help get them food, water, shelter, and an education. Then they can grow up strong, smart, and happy!
Imagine how grateful those kids and their families would be if you helped them out. They might even write you a thank-you letter or make you a craft to show their appreciation. Wouldn't that make you feel awesome inside? Helping others is one of the best feelings in the whole world.
Plus, when you grow up, you'll be able to look back and feel proud that you did something good and important. You can tell your own kids all about how you made a difference in the world by supporting poor children. How cool is that?
Some of you might be thinking "But I'm broke and can't afford to donate money." I get it, we're all poor college kids living off ramen noodles! But you don't have to give a ton of money to make a big impact. Every little bit helps.
Like, did you know that just 5 can provide ten kids with clean drinking water for an entire month? Or that 10 can buy a bunch of notebooks and pencils for a classroom? Small donations really do go a long way.
You can skip buying a couple coffees or going to Chipotle once, and use that money for a good cause instead. Heck, you can even collect pocket change in a jar for a few weeks and donate that! It's so easy to give a little bit.
Now, I know some of you are probably wondering where exactly your money would go if you donate. Getting scammed isn't cool at all. That's why it's important to pick a great charity to donate through.
I'd suggest donating to UNICEF, which is an awesome group that helps kids all around the world. All the money goes towards things like delivering food, water, and vaccines to children in need. They have a top rating for

How to Get Your College Friends to Give Money to Poor Kids
Hi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. Today I want to tell you all about how you can help kids who don't have enough money or food or toys or anything. It's really important and I think you should listen up!
First of all, you might be wondering why you should even care about poor kids. Well, let me tell you - it's because every kid deserves to be happy and have a good life. Just imagine if you were really poor and didn't have any money for food or clothes or a nice place to live. That would be really hard, right? You'd be hungry and cold and sad a lot of the time.
Well, that's how lots of kids live every single day. Their parents don't have good jobs that pay enough money. And they live in places that are really poor where there aren't very many schools or hospitals or parks to play in. It's not fair at all!
But here's the good news - you can actually help those kids! You're older now and you're in college, which means you might have a little bit of extra money sometimes from your job or from your parents. And you can choose to give some of that money to charities that help poor kids and families.
I know what you're thinking - why should I give away my hard-earned money? Well, let me put it this way. Even a few dollars from you can make a huge difference for a poor kid. It can buy them food so they don't go hungry. It can buy them a warm coat for the winter. It can help build a new school or playground where they can play and learn. A little bit of money goes a really long way when people don't have very much at all.
Plus, just imagine how awesome it would feel to know that you helped make a kid's life better? They would be so happy and grateful, and you would feel really good inside about being a nice, caring person. And who doesn't want to feel that way?
Okay, but how do you actually give money to help poor kids? It's really easy! There are tons of great charities out there that do this kind of work. My favorite is this one called Save the Children, but there are others like UNICEF and Compassion International too.
All you have to do is go to their website and click the "donate" button. You can give whatever amount you can, even if it's just a few bucks. And a lot of them even let you pick which country or community you want your money to go to help out, so you can choose somewhere that's really struggling. How cool is that?
I know some of you might not have very much money as a college student. But I bet if you really thought about it, you could find some ways to save up a few dollars here and there to donate. Like, maybe you could skip going out for pizza with your friends one night and put that money towards donations instead. Or you could take a recycling job for just a few hours to make some extra cash. There are lots of ways to come up with a little bit of money if you get creative!
And you can even get your whole dorm floor or club involved! You could have a donations competition to see who can raise the most money. Or you could sell baked goods and donate the profits. The more people who get involved, the more money you can raise for a good cause. It will be really fun!
The bottom line is that there are kids out there who really, really need our help. They were just born into poverty through no fault of their own, and they deserve the same chances in life
as you and me. By donating even a little bit of money, you can help make sure they get a good education, enough food to eat, access to medical care, and opportunities to have a bright future.
So talk to your college friends and make a plan to start donating to charities for poor kids and families. They'll be so grateful for your generosity and kindness, and you'll get to feel like a really awesome person for making a difference. What could be better than that?
Thanks for listening, college kids! Now go out there and change some kids' lives for the better. You've got this!

How to Get Your College Friends to Give Money to Poor Kids
Hi everyone! My name is Jamie and I'm 8 years old. Today I want to talk to you about something really important - helping kids who don't have enough money for food, clothes or school. It makes me super sad to think about other kids not having the things they need. I'm lucky because my parents make sure I have everything, but lots of kids aren't that lucky. That's why I think you college kids should give some of your money to charities that help poor families and kids. Let me tell you why!
First of all, there are kids living in bad neighborhoods who don't have anything fun to play with. No ball to kick around, no jumprope, no buckets and shovels for the sandbox. Just rusty old cans and sticks they find on the ground. Doesn't that sound really boring? Kids need toys to have fun and use their creativity and imagination when they play. Otherwise, they'll be bored and sad all the time. If you give money, charities can buy balls, art supplies, books and other toys for community centers and shelters where poor kids hang out. Playing with toys helps kids learn and grow smarter too!
Another huge problem is not having enough food. You've probably seen pictures on TV of kids in other countries who are really skinny because they don't have enough to eat. That's called being malnourished and it's terrible! Kids who don't get enough healthy food can get sick easily, missschool because they're too weak, and even have problems learning and remembering things. In America, there are also lots of kids who skip meals or only eat cheap junk food because their parents can't afford much else. Don

How to Get Your College Friends to Give Money to Poor Kids
Hi everybody! My name is Timmy and I'm 9 years old. Today I want to talk to you about something really important. There are lots of kids out there who don't have enough food or clothes or toys or even a home to live in. That's because their families are very poor and can't afford those things. Isn't that really sad?
But here's the good news - we can help those kids! All we have to do is get people to donate money. Money is what grown-ups use to buy stuff. If we can get a lot of people to give a little bit of their money, it will add up to a big amount that we can use to buy food, clothes, toys and help build homes for those poor kids.
Now you might be wondering - why should I ask my college friends to donate money when they are just kids themselves and don't have a lot of money either? Well, that's a good question! College kids may not be grown-ups yet, but they are older than me and you. And even though they don't have tons of money, they probably have a little bit they could share. Here's why I think they should do that:
First of all, your college friends are smart. They are getting an education so they can get a good job and make lots of money when they are grown-ups. But those poor kids I'm talking about don't get to go to school at all! No education means it will be
really hard for them to get a good job when they grow up too. So if your smart friends donate a little money now, it will help those kids go to school and become smart too! Then everybody wins.
Secondly, your college friends are living pretty comfy lives. They have dorms or apartments to live in, meals to eat every day, cool clothes to wear and maybe their parents even give them a little spending money sometimes. But those poor kids don't have any of those things! Just imagine how hard life would be if you didn't have a home or enough food or nice clothes. It would be terrible, right? So your friends should donate because they would want other kids to have the same comforts they do.
Another big reason is that helping others makes you feel really good inside. It makes you happy to know you made somebody else's life better. It's like when you share your toys with a friend - it makes you both smile! If your college friends donate money to help poor kids, they will get that same warm feeling of doing something nice for someone else. And that's a great reason to do it.
Plus, they're adults now (well, almost adults). Adults are supposed to think about more than just themselves and their own wants. Adults need to care about other people's problems too and try to make the world a better place. Donating money to
help poor kids is the perfect way for your college friends to start being grown-up and caring about more than themselves.
I know what you might be thinking though - my college friends are broke! They have bills to pay for rent, food, books and everything else. How can I ask them to give away money they really need themselves? That's true, money is definitely tight when you're in college. But they don't have to donate a ton of money to make a difference. Every little bit helps!
Like, if everybody skipped going to Starbucks just one time and donated that 5 instead, that would be awesome. Or if they took a break from ordering pizza every weekend, they could donate that 15 they saved. Maybe they could even donate the money they would have spent on beer! (Don't drink beer though, it's gross.) See - there are lots of easy ways they could donate a few bucks here and there without really missing it.
And they could get creative to raise even more money too! Like maybe they could have a bake sale and donate the profits. Or set up a lemonade stand. Or wash cars for neighbors. Use their skills and find simple ways to make a little extra money, just for donating. It's not that hard if they try.
So in conclusion, here's why I think you should talk to your smart, comfy college friends and ask them to donate money to help poor kids:
It will help those kids get an education
It will give poor kids the same comforts your friends have
It will make your friends feel really good about themselves
It's the grown-up thing to do to help others
Even small donations make a big difference when everybody chips in
They can get creative to raise a little extra money if needed
Your friends are the future adults of the world. By donating money now to help kids in need, they would be showing what awesome grown-ups they will become - caring, generous ones who make the world better. And that's the best thing you could possibly ask them to do. So what do you say? Will you talk to your college friends and ask them to be totally cool by donating? The poor kids of the world are counting on you!

How to Get Your College Friends to Give Money to Poor Kids
Hi, my name is Tommy and I'm 8 years old. My teacher Miss Johnson asked us to write about how we can help kids who don't have enough money for food, clothes or to go to school. I have some ideas that I think college students can use to get their friends to donate money to poor areas.
First off, you gotta really care about poor kids not having what they need. If you don't really care, then you won't put in the hard work to convince people. My mom says I have a big heart because I share my toys with my little sister even though she drools all over them. I feel bad for kids who don't have balls to play catch or action figures to pretend with. No kid should have to go without
Next, you need to learn all about why there are poor areas and what life is like for the kids there. Like, did you know that in some countries, kids have to skip school to work in fields or factories because their parents don't make enough money? Or that some kids live in neighborhoods with no clean water to drink or bathe in? The more you know, the easier it is to explain it to others.
Now you're ready to talk to your friends! Don't just ask for money out of nowhere. You have to get them interested first. My dad says college kids like free pizza, so maybe you could have a
pizza party to get everyone together. Then you can show pictures and videos about the poor area and talk about the kids who need help. Make them feel how bad you felt when you first learned about it.
But don't just bum everyone out! You have to get them excited about how they can make a difference. Like, maybe their money could buy a biobox to give a village clean water. Or it could pay a teacher to give kids an education. Find an organization that does great work and tell your friends exactly where their money would go.
Of course, some of your friends might already be broke from paying fees and loans and stuff. So you could set up a fundraiser instead of just asking for donations. You could sell baked goods on campus or put on a talent show and charge admission. Pat from down the street raised 100 for a tourette's charity by putting on a lemonade stand! Your friends could have fun and help poor kids at the same time.
Promise your friends that every penny will go to the charity and none of it will get wasted. Tell them you'll track exactly how their money gets used so they can see the impact they made. My mom says adults like that transparency stuff. It makes them feel like their money is being put to good use.
Finally, make sure to keep bugging them about it in a nice way. We had to donate clothes for kids in Vietnam last year and my teacher reminded us every day until everyone brought something in. Don't let your friends forget their good intentions or think someone else will take care of it. Keep getting the word out there through social media, posters, whatever you can.
Those are my tips for college kids to get their buddies to donate money to poor areas. If you make it into a community effort and stay positive and persistent, I betting you'll be able to raise a ton of cash for a good cause! Every little bit counts for those kids in need. Thanks for reading, gotta go eat my Brussels sprouts now!。
