Braun for verification of, or to obtain the latest release.3. Mechanical contractor shall install the main gas pressure reducing regulator and CSA approved gas shut off valve included with each dryer, for each dryer installed. Failure to do so may result in unsatisfactory dryer performance.4. An external compressed air tank reservoir with trim is provided for dryers in a systems installation. Mechanical contractor is responsible to mount and plumb tank(s). Contact G.A. Braun for details.5.The external central lint collection vacuum unit shall be installed with separate main circuit breaker. It is not powered by the individual dryers. See interconnect wiring diagram provided with the System Installation Book for complete details. The vacuum unit is provided with a control box with interconnect terminations for each dryer, power on/off, power on indication light, and a manual vacuum unit test button.6.The central lint collection vacuum unit must be installed to the right side of the dryer when viewed from the front of the dryer. The vacuum will handle up to 5 dryers.DUCTWORK- Reference Appendix A in the O&M Manual for specific ductwork requirements.1. Ductwork sizing is critical. A qualified mechanical contractor or engineer should size the ductwork. Failure to follow good duct design and fabrication practices will result in improper, poorly functioning, or inoperable equipment.2. The duct connections on the equipment do not indicate final duct sizes. The ducts must be sized to provide adequate air flow to and from the dryer.3. Do not exceed a total duct system static pressure of 0.5 in. w.c.. This is the combined static pressure of the exhaust and inlet duct.(TOTAL INLET DUCT SP”wc)+(TOTAL EXHAUST DUCT SP”wc)= TOTAL SYSTEM SP4.In some cases, by preference or necessity, the dryer inlet air will not be ducted. Instead, the air may come directly from inside the building. Make up air will have to be ducted into the building to account for the air that is pumped out by the dryer exhaust. Refer to the equipment specifications to determine the amount of building make up air required as indicated by the EXHAUST DUCT VOLUME. The number of machines will determine the total make up air volume required.5.Do not install any type of screen over the ends of the exhaust or inlet ducts. This can impede airflow to and from the dryer.BRAUN PASS THRU DRYER300 PBS Side By Side-Standard Faceplate-Gas FiredG.A. BRAUN, INC., 79 GENERAL IRWIN BLVD. NORTH SYRACUSE, NY. 13212, 315-475-3123TM-300PBS SBS-STANDARD FACEPLATE-GAS-060216.doc Page 4 of 46/02/166. Roof penetration and flashing/curb is by owner. The type and style of roof penetration weather protection for the dryer ducting is best determined by theroof manufacturer, and/or mechanical contractor. Don’t void your roof warranty.7.Minimum duct material shall be galvanized 18ga construction, for top inlet and exhaust models and 16ga for rear exhaust models on the first 20ft of exhaust duct connection from the blower discharge. If using square duct to transition to an external lint collector, a heavier gauge material may be needed to include bracing support on the square ductwork. G.A. Braun discourages the use of square ductwork, but if used, it must be adequately supported to withstand the normal surging tendencies of the industrial dryer. Stainless steel ducting is not required. SMACNA rules for high pressure duct construction SHALL apply.8.Round (spiral) duct is recommended over square or rectangular ducting . Square and rectangular ducts tend to “oil-can” and produceexcess noise. The seams will become brittle and break over time if the oil-canning is excessive. These ducts tend to build lint internally, more so than round duct. If square ducting is used, responsibility for structurally bracing this ductwork to prevent breakage is the soleresponsibility of the contractor installing said ductwork. G.A. Braun will assume no responsibility for square ductwork breakage at any point during its life span.9.Support ductwork independently of the dryer duct connections. This will help prevent sound transmission from the equipment to the duct work. Also, the dryer is not designed to bear the weight of the duct work.10. Use of a zero or no loss stack above the roof is recommended, unless ducting to a second stage lint collection device. A no loss stack can be used on boththe inlet and exhaust ducts. Maintain at least 5ft. of separation between the ends of the stacks. 11. A goose neck on the exhaust and a weather cap on the inlet are acceptable. Size the ductwork accordingly to account for the restrictions these will add to theduct system. 12. Exhaust duct should be sized so the air velocity does not fall below 2,400 ft./min . This will help keep any lint collector bypass material from settling outin the ductwork, conveying it to the outside, or to a secondary lint collection system. Exhaust air duct velocity MUST be maintained at 3,500 ft./min or less . Failure to keep airflow within these specified limits will void any warranty support of said dryer. 13. The prevailing wind direction in your area can affect the discharge direction of the free exhaust air. Goose neck and mitered elbow exhaust ducts requirespecial attention. They should not face into the prevailing wind. Be careful not to exhaust one dryer directly toward the inlet of another dryer, or other equipment fresh air intakes. No loss exhaust stacks are not affected by wind direction. 14. Exhaust discharge can be harmful or dangerous. Pay attention to the proximity of other equipment to the dryer exhaust discharge (This should apply to anyequipment with high exhaust discharge temperature). This includes but is not limited to roof top air handling equipment, roof vents, and roof accesshatches. Avoid discharging into or near these. A barrier may be required to isolate and protect those items that may be damaged by, or create a danger to, if the exhaust discharge is allowed to blow towards/into them. 15. All elbows shall be long radius and designed with a center line bend radius of at least 2x’s the duct diameter or cross section..16. On models with coaxial ductwork, the exhaust duct is inside the inlet duct. Size the exhaust duct first, and then the inlet duct. Do not forget to subtract thearea of the exhaust duct from the area of the inlet duct. Do not forget the add the static pressure to the inlet duct from the exhaust duct (Friction from the incoming air on the internal exhaust duct). Failure to do so will cause the inlet duct to be undersized. Undersized ductwork will result in unsatisfactory operation of the dryer.。

A red light in the viewfinder means the flash is charging.Note:It is not necessary to hold thecamera to your eye while the red light is on. In about 5 seconds the flash is charged, the red light goes off and you can take a picture. Or, you can release the red button and the flash will stay charged for several minutes.2.Press the red button all the way to take a picture.See the world in a new lightFew picture-taking situations provide just the right lighting to take the best photographs. So Polaroid designed a unique new photographic system (Sun 600 series cameras) that makes it possible to take great pictures any time – in any light.Under the direction of a tiny electronic computer, the system – a camera with a built-in electronic flash and Polaroid 600film – measures light with just the right amount of flash to create an ideal photographic light for taking beautiful pictures – outdoors and indoors. In addition, the Model 660 AutoFocuscamera has an automatic focusing system which consists of a fixed front lens and an internal rotating disk with four lenses. Using sound waves to measure the distancebetween the camera lens and your subject, the computer selects the correct lens that will put your subject in sharp focus. For the first time, the high-energy battery built into every film pack powers both the camera and the electronic flash, which means you need never purchase other batteries.Polaroid 600 color film – the mostlight-sensitive instant color film made – was developed just for this camera system.Other Polaroid films will not fit into or workwith this camera.Electronic FlashRed Button600 Series CameraThe camera systemA -Built-in electronic flash; 1/3000 to1/20,000 of a second.B -Fixed focus, 106mm lens.C -Aperture shutter system (apertures fromf/14.6 to f/45; shutter speeds from 1/3to 1/200 of a second).D -Red shutter button (pressed halfway, itcharges the flash; pressed all the way,it takes the picture).E -Flash override button (used to take apicture through glass – see page 12).F -Film door latch.G -Film door.H -Film shade (shields each picture fromlight as it exits the camera; it rolls out with the picture, then snaps back).Sun 600Front ViewBack ViewABCDE F GIJLMHK NOPI -Film exit slot.J -Lighten/darken control (see page 8).K -Photocell (silicon photo-diode –measures light from the scene and flash, outdoors and indoors).L -Viewfinder.M -Adjustable neckstrap.N -Thumbrest.O -Picture counter (indicates how manypictures remain).P -Flash ready light (red light means theflash is charging; green light means the flash is ready to fire).Sun 660 AFFront View Back ViewA1B1C1DEFC2GHIJLMNO KK1A1-Built-in electronic flash; (1/3000 of a secondB1-Automatic focusing system (a fixed front lens and an internal rotating disk withfour lenses).C1-Automatic variable speed/aperture shutter system (speeds range from1/3 to 1/200 of a second; aperturesfrom f/14.6 to f/45).C2-Transducer (sends the sound waves and receives the echo).D-Red shutter button (pressed halfway, it charges the flash; pressed all the way,it takes the picture).E-Flash override button (used to take a picture through glass - see page 12).F-Film door latch.G-Film door.H-Film shade (shields each picture from light as it exits the camera; it rolls outwith the picture, then snaps back).I-Film exit slot.J-Lighten/darken control (see page 8).K-Photocell (silicon photo-diode –measures light from the scene andflash, outdoors and indoors).K1-Autofocus override button (see page 11). L-Viewfinder.M-Adjustable neckstrap.N-Thumbrest.O-Picture counter (indicates how many pictures remain). The Electronic flashBoth the electronic flash and the camera are powered by the high-energy battery built into every film pack. The battery supplies all the power you need to fire the flash for every picture - outdoors and indoors. The flash fully charges in about 5 seconds. It will stay charged for several minutes, allowing you to take a spontaneous picture (see page 4).A red light in the viewfinder indicates when the flash is charging. The camera will not operate until the flash is fully charged and the red light goes off. Since you cannot take a picture while the flash is charging, you never waste film. The FilmPolaroid 600 color film was developed specifically for your camera system. Other Polaroid films will not fit into or work with this camera. Each film pack provides 10 color pictures. This new film is the most light-sensitive instant color film made. It is one of theworld’s fastest developing color film. In just seconds, the image begins to appear.Fixed focus lensStand at least 4 feet from your subject. In the picture, everything beyond 4 feet will be in focus.Electronic flash rangeBe sure to use the flash for every picture –outdoors and indoors .Sun 600For best results indoors, your subjectshould be from 4 to 10 feet away and near a light colored background.Sun 660 AFFor best results indoors, your subjectshould be from 2 to 14 feet away and near a light colored background.Split-second focusing (Sun 660 AF only) When you take a picture, your camera sends sound waves, at frequencies beyond our range of hearing, to the central part of the scene (approximate area circled in white). At the same time, an internal disk with four lenses (behind the fixed front lens) starts to turn.In a split second, a tiny electronic computer measures the time it takes for the sound to reach your subject and the echo to return, and calculates the distance between the camera lens and your subject. The lens then will put your subject into sharp focus at that distance and lock into place.Lighten/darken controlUse this control only when you want to reshoot a picture to make it lighter or darker. To take a lighter picture, slide the control past the white arrow.Autofocus by-pass and non-flashbuttonsSun 640 - To avoid a flash reflectionwhen photographing through glass indaylight press the non-flash button totake your picture.Sun 660 AF - To photograph a daylightscene (more than 12 ft./3m away) throughglass, press and hold in the autofocusby-pass button, then press the non-flashbutton to take your picture. To take a darker picture, slide the control past the black arrow.Return the control to center position when you have finished reshooting. A white double arrow appears in the bottom of the viewfinder as a reminder that the control is not in its centerposition.Autofocus OverrideButtonFlash OverrideButtonUsing the cameraLoading the cameraUse only Polaroid 600 color film.1.Push the latch forward. T o avoid a flash reflection, stop the flash from firing and take the picture by pressing the flash override button.Use the electronic flash for every picture – outdoors and indoorsThe human eye adjusts to light differently than the camera’s eye, which makes it difficult to judge how light from the scene will affect your picture.Everyone who takes pictures has had the experience of looking at a subject or scene, photographing it, and being disappointed with the picture because it looks differentthan what he or she saw in the viewfinder.Polaroid’s new photographic system gives you the beautiful picture you expect to see. By blending light from the scene with just enough flash, the system creates a new photographic light that more accurately reproduces, on film, what appeared in the viewfinder.Taking trouble-free picturesHold the developing picture by its wide white borderWhile it is developing, keep the picture out of direct sunlight. When the temperature is below 55o F (13o C),keep the camera and film warm. Immediately place the developing picture in a warm pocket for at least a minute.Keep the developer rollers cleanDirty rollers can cause a repeated spot or bar pattern to appear in the picture. The developer rollers are located inside the film door. If there is film in the camera, open the door in dim light. What to look for if the camera does not operateCheck the picture counter. When the film pack is empty, you can charge the flash but you cannot take a picture.Look through the viewfinder. When the red light is on, the flash is charging and you cannot take a picture.Be sure the sound waves have a clear path to your subject (Sun 660 AF only)The sound waves travel to the central part of the scene (see page 8). If an object in the foreground prevents the sound from reaching your subject, the internal lens disk will focus on the foreground object, causing your subject to be out of focus. If this happens when you are using flash indoors, your subject will also betoo dark.Dirty RollersDeveloper RollersFull one-year warrantyU.S. and CanadaIf your camera proves to be defective within the warranty period, we will, without charge, either repair it or, at our option, replace it with a fully reconditioned or new camera. Make sure that you arewearing the gloves provided with your order and that you handle the stalk rolls with extreme care.NOTICE: Corn head angle must be adjusted to 23-25 degrees in standing corn and 20 degrees in down/lodged corn for maximum performance and to avoid excessive wear on components! Failure to do so will void warranty!Rolls are marked on the left (L) and right (R) spirals and must be installed as a set, from the same box, as packaged from Calmer Corn Heads. Important: Stalk rolls are to be installed from your perspective whilesitting in the combine cab, looking at the corn head.(309) 629-9000 6Old Row Frame Design:There have been isolated instances on the 600 series old frame design where Calmer BTChopper ® Stalk Roll blades have hit the tabs on the rear of the row frame. IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE, YOU MUST REMOVE THE TWO TABS! This can be easily achieved with any type of cutting wheel.Verify Your Corn Head’s Shaft Prior to Installation!BEFORE AFTEROLD SHAFTNEW SHAFT600 OLD SHAFT HAS AN X PATTERN600 NEW SHAFT HAS A + PATTERNIn an effort to resolve problems with the older 600 series shaft design, John Deere has updated newer 600 series corn heads with a new pinion shaft design. For this reason, it is important to verify the pinion shafts on your 600 series corn head prior to installation. Please use the pictures on the bottom of page 4 to determine if your corn head has OLD or NEW pinion shafts in the gearboxes. To determine this, take the nut off one stalk roll and remove to verify what shaft you have. You will notice both on the splines of the pinion shaft and inside the stalk roll that the old shaft has an “X” pattern, while the new shaft has a “+” pattern. (See photos on the bottom of page 4)1. Slide the RIGHT BT Chopper® Stalk Roll partway onto the pinion shaft. The nose cone ofthe stalk roll is marked with an “R.” Ensurethe stalk roll is stable and won’t fall off theshaft (See picture 1) Do not lubricate theshaft!2. Intermesh the LEFT BT Chopper® Stalk Rollwith the Right Stalk Roll while simultaneouslysliding onto the right shaft. Ensure the longest blade on the left-hand roll is leading thelongest blade on the right-hand roll as yousimultaneously slide the rolls onto the pinionshafts, engaging them with the splines (Seepictures 2 & 3)3. New Shaft/700 Series: Apply providedmedium-strength threadlocker to pinonshaft threads before reinstalling pinion shaftwasher and nut. Torque to 120 ft. lbs.,plus 1/6 of a turn (or point).Old Shaft: Install enclosed washer and nut.Torque to 120 ft. lbs., plus 1/6 of aturn (or point).1 2 37 (309) 629-9000 8NOTICE: Make Sure Stalk Rolls Are Not Hitting Deck Plates or Row Frame Legs:You may encounter inconsistency of row frame legs and/or stripper plates, which could cause your stalk roll blades to hit the row frame. This inconsistency could also cause your stripper plates to be out of alignment from each other. (See picture to the right)Follow directions below to shim the rowunit to fix these issues:DANGER: Ensure the corn head is secured properly, combine lift cylinder stops are in place, equipment is turned off, and the parking brake is engaged before attempting any adjustments.1. Loosen bolts (A) and (B). (See picture 1)2. Lift up the front end of the row frame with a hydraulic jack. (See picture 2)3. Add Shim (C), which is included in the kit.4. Retighten bolts (A) and (B)Ensure stalk rolls are not hitting 12ABCC9 Installing Calmer Grass Knives(Calmer Grass Knives will not fit on chopping corn heads)STEP 31. Set and maintain a minimum ¼” gap between the stalk roll spirals and the grass knives. This canbe measured from the spiral point closest to the grass knives and the edge of the grass knives.NOTICE: To prevent possible damage to stalk rolls or grass knives, there must be a minimum 1/4” gap between the stalk roll spirals and grass knives. Also, ensure a minimum 2 1/8” gap between the front of the grass knives. Grass knives bevel should face the ground. You must purchase JD’s grass knives that fit with their intermeshing stalk rolls (Part #s HXE40250-LH & HXE40239-RH) and make the following modifications. The right-hand grass knife needs to be cutoff below the middle bolt in order to clear the stalk roll and gearbox. (See figure 2 below)NOTICE: To prevent possible damage to stalk rolls, ensure a minimum 2 1/8” gap at the front of the grass knives. There should be a minimum 1/4” gap between the stalk roll blades and grass knives.Modifying JD Grass Knives – OLD FRAME: If Calmer Grass Knives were not purchased, modifications may be necessary in order to achieve proper clearance between Calmer Stalk Rolls and JD grass knives. First, ensure a minimum 1/4” clearance between the grass knives and the stalk roll blades. If proper clearance can’t be achieved, cut grass knives along lines shown below to achieve proper clearance.Modifying JD Grass Knives – NEW FRAME: If Calmer Grass Knives were not purchased, modifications may be necessary in order to achieve proper clearance between Calmer Stalk Rolls and JD grass knives. John Deere grass knives that fit with intermeshing stalk rolls are the only JD grass knives that will work after modification with JD new frame corn heads. Reference the picture below and cut grass knives along lines shown to achieve proper clearance.Figure 2CUT HERECUT HERECUT HEREOld FrameNew Frame CUT HERECUT HEREInstalling ShieldSTEP 4The shields included in your order are to be installed as illustrated in the pictures below. The purpose of this shield is to prevent the buildup of material between the frame and the hydraulic stripper plate shaft. If the hydraulic cylinder is located directly under the row unit on one row of your corn head, you will have an extra shield that will not be utilized.NOTICE: Add silicone thread sealant to all bolts when reinstalling.11 (309) 629-9000 12STEP 5Installing/Adjusting Calmer Stripper Plates Recommended Stripper Plate Adjustments:Begin with normal settings of 1 1/8” gap at the front and 1 3/16” gap at the rear, then adjustaccordingly to ensure plates are 1/16” wider than the diameter of the 3rd cornstalk node above the brace root. Ensure stripper plate gap is centered over the stalk rolls.Installing Stripper Plates:With the hydraulic plate installed and in the open position, move it towards the center of the row unit until the edge of the plate is half of the desired width from the centerline of the row unit. Next, insert a block that matches the desired plate gap between the two plates (1 1/8” gap at the front and 1 3/16” gap at the rear). Then slide the manual plate in tight to the block and tighten down to set it in place. For Hydraulic Plates Only: Once the stripper plates are at the desired gap, mark the gauge on the frame or write down the value given in the cab for future reference. This is the ideal spot for the hydraulic stripper plates to match your initial settings.MULTI-ZONEBEVELED STRIPPERPLATES FORNEW ROW FRAME MULTI-ZONE BEVELED STRIPPERPLATES FOROLD ROW FRAMEMULTI-ZONE BEVELED STRIPPER PLATESHELPFUL CORN HEAD SETTINGS & ADJUSTMENTSMarion’s Recommended Sieve Adjustments for Corn: I personally disagree with the suggested sieve settings in many owner’s manuals. Below is what I’ve found to be most successful throughout my years of farming.Bottom Shoe Sieve: Run Wide Open (Try this one round to gauge effectiveness)Top Chaffer Sieve: Close until sample in the grain tank is cleanReason: When harvesting corn, the bottom sieve is not needed. There is no part of the kernel that needs to be re-threshed! Therefore, the bottom sieve should be wide open. This allows the kernels to fall directly into the clean grain auger. Results of my Recommended Sieve Settings:1. More capacity2. More air to top sieve3. Less separator loss4. Less cracks in dry corn5. Less grinding in wet corn6. Less plugging of return elevator in wet cornSpeed: Begin calibration with initial gathering chain speed of55 RPMs. If butt shelling is a problem, slow down the corn headspeed until it starts to bulldoze cornstalks, then speed back up untilbulldozing stops.Note: If RPMs are too fast, trash intake and butt shelling increase. If RPMs are too slow, you may experience poor stalk chop, row unit bulldozing and ear loss.Corn Head Angle: A properly adjusted corn head angle is critical to its performance. Foroptimum performance and to retain Calmer’s warranty on parts, the corn head angle MUST be setbetween 23-25 degrees in standing corn and 20 degrees in down/lodged corn.13 (309) 629-9000 14Setting Your Corn Head Angle: Place thecombine on a level surface then lower the corn headuntil the row unit frame is 2 inches off the ground.Place a magnetic protractor directly on the stripperplate and read the angle. If the angle is too steep, pull the top of the corn head toward the combine, push the bottom out, or a combination of both.Cross Auger Flighting: The cross auger should bevertically adjusted to have 1 3/4-inch clearancebetween flighting and tray at the tightest point to reduceear slicing. Also, adjust rearward as far as possible.(You may need to increase the length of the slots inthe end plate bearing hanger to allow for this adjustment. When you turn on the end rows, there should be a layerof ears between flighting and tray)Reducing Ear Toss:Cross auger should be horizontally adjusted rearward, as close to the feeder house chain and rear stripper as possible. This will improve the transfer of material from the cross auger to the feeder house chain, thus reducing ear toss.Add half and/or full links to lengthen the feeder chain. This will reduce the dead air space between the feeder chain and cross auger flighting.Stay on the fast setting (large sprocket) for the feeder house chain speed when harvesting corn to decrease ear toss. This can be adjusted on the lower right-hand side of the feeder house.Note: It is possible for feeder house ear tossing to increase as a result of minimal trash intake.1 3/4” clearance15 We DO NOT recommend using any rubber paddles.I would recommend that you fill any holes in the tray and grindthem flush. This will stop loss of kernels and kernel damage.Oil Bath Settings Standing Corn: 600-610 RPM on variable speed. As statedbefore, we suggest staying on the (fast setting) sprocket for feederchain speed when harvesting.1. Corn head must have the heavy-duty reverser (For heads 8-rows or bigger, this is evident because it has a finned aluminum cooler (recommended by John Deere).2. Only use full synthetic oil in the reverser.3. There are 2 grease fittings on the reverser. These need to be placed at the 12 o’clock and 2 o’clock positions. Put 12 pumps of grease in the 12 o’clock and only 2 pumps of grease in the 2 o’clock. Never over grease!4. Once you start the machine (at idle) you need to run variable speed up and down (2x) to lubricate prior to Harvest.Down Corn: 500-550 RPM on variable speed.Gear Box LubricantSee manufacturer’s owner’s manual for proper lubricant specifications.MAINTENANCE RECORD____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________(309) 629-9000 16____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ 17 ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________(309) 629-9000 18September 2021TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE PLEASE CALL 1-309-629-9000P.O. Calibration verifies AHHC sensors are set within operating range. A failed calibration often means a sensor is not set properly. See Troubleshooting and Sensor Voltage Maps for more information.Tuning Calibration is also available after a Header Calibration is performed. This tuning operation improves sensitivity of Height Sensing function and is recommended to be performed whenever possible.AHHC TroubleshootingIf a Header Calibration fails, there are several common causes and solutions:Sensors out of range• Sensors may not be adjusted properly: see Sensor Voltage Settings.• Damaged wiring harness: Inspect wiring harness leading to all AHHC sensors.•Broken sensor or components: Inspect sensors.Sensors seeing less than 1.2 V of range• Broken sensor or components: Inspect sensors.• Lock-out brackets still installed in float arms.• Off-ground sensor arm still pinned up.• Off-ground sensor arm unable to fully rotate due to lack of lubrication: add grease to fitting on float arm.•Damaged wiring harness: Inspect wiring harness leading to all AHHC sensors.Sensors seeing too much voltage range• Float arm stop bolt was removed: Check float arms for stopbolts.Sensor Voltage SettingsOperating range while harvesting of AHHC sensor is 0.6 – 4.4V. Sensor voltage readings can be viewed in LC1 Diagnostic Addresses – see Calibrations and Settings section of the Operator’s Manual .It is highly recommended to set the sensors at 0.9 – 4.1 volts to ensure the sensor does not shift out of the operating range. If a Header Calibration fails, see the 600FD Sensor Voltage Maps to ensure all sensors are set correctly.A. Lock-out bracket-REMOVEB.
